His office information was located in another specialist's office that I go to and he has a new street sign. The podiatrist is Dr. Monif Matouk. He has over 20 years of experience in Los Banos. His waiting room is clean, has nice pictures, and has a small refrig with I think some cans of flavored water. I was still filling out my new patient paper work, when I was called to go into the patient exam area. Dr. Matouk was very pleasant and did a complete exam including muscle strength testing on my foot & ankle. The other podiatrist that I had seen did not do a complete exam. Dr. Matouk discussed treatment options of wearing hightop shoes, foot/ankle exercises, physical therapy, foot orthotics & surgery. I decided on doing the foot/ankle exercises on my own and not going to physical therapy. After only a few days of exercises, I noticed improvement. The other podiatrist discussed wearing hightop shoes and to return if I fall several more times. I'm so glad that I found Dr. Matouk!!!

From my very first visit, he was incredibly kind, thorough, and took the time to truly understand what was going on with my knee. He performed an arthroscopic meniscusectomy, and the entire experience went incredibly well. Thanks to his skill, I am already walking completely free of discomfort and am finally able to get back to my active lifestyle. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Beauchman's care, and his support staff is equally wonderful--always encouraging, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience with the office management was the complete opposite. I called several times to speak with the office manager, only to later find out she had already left for the day. The staff seemed unaware of her availability, which reflected poor communication within the office. I've also spoken with friends who have been seen at this office, and they shared similar frustrations about how difficult it is to get in contact with Manager Maira. I genuinely believe the office would benefit from management that leads with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication. The staff seemed to lack the support and guidance that strong leadership should provide, and I think the overall patient experience would improve significantly with better management. Because of this experience, I won't be recommending Valley River Orthopedics. Merced already has too few healthcare offices that consistently provide compassionate customer service, so it was especially disappointing to encounter this level of hospitality.

Dr. Nanra over saw my care while I was there and said if anything comes up come and see us. I decided to take him up on his offer today when I woke up to some questionable symptoms. They had me in and out within an hour (unheard of for urgent care as busy as them, especially with them also being a primary care clinic.) the clinic is clean, the staff is friendly and they are very on top of it. The doctor listened to my history and what led up to today and took all of that into consideration with his treatment options. I will definitely be returning here for my urgent care needs. I'm happy that I have the option to go here if anything urgent arises and know that they care about their patients. Thank you golden state!!!

I recently had my initial visit to Dr.Fu's office and it went great. The nurse practitioner that…read moreworks there made me feel comfortable and confident that we will figure out the causes of the concerns I have as well as find a solution. I was not seen by the doctor himself, but the NP was truly wonderful. She introduced me to the doctor, and he seemed kind from our brief introduction. My only concern that I have is the level of professionalism with the front desk staff. They are all very young and it is great that they are getting started in healthcare right away. However, I am a nurse and one of the most important things taught to healthcare providers is maintaining patient confidentiality. Unfortunately, the front office staff provided incorrect contact information to someone I am assuming they are contracted with. This company then contacted me to discuss my health plan at my place of work. They never attempted to reach me with my personal contact information provided. This is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I never consented to being contacted at work and it made me extremely uncomfortable. When I called to speak to a supervisor, I was told that there wasn't a supervisor in the office and that I would receive a call back. The following day I received a call from the front desk staff stating the doctor wanted to discuss this matter with me in person at his office. After informing the staff that I live an hour and a phone call is sufficient for me, the front desk staff just repeated that the doctor wants to see me in person. I do not feel that I should be responsible for a 3 hour round trip commute because they made a mistake. Overall, I feel that if a company makes a mistake, they should address that mistake with compassion and understanding. I may be very upset about this situation, but I am also a nurse, and I get that accidents happen. If this office apologized and made time to speak with me I would not have gone as far as writing a review, but instead they made this difficult. The staff there need to learn from this and ensure that they hold themselves to a higher standard of maintaining patient privacy.
