My mother received treatment from Dr. Eldaly and he would not listen to her, she did not get the care she deserved. We told him multiple times the treatment was not working and he refused to listen to her. When we had office visits we told him multiple times how bad she was doing and he was dismissive. With my experience and in my opinion Dr. Eldaly is arrogant, condescending, and dismissive.

I responded saying that I've had this same information and have already contacted my healthcare company prior to today's visit to learn of the co-pay I would have which is typically $40 for this type of service; a bilateral mammogram. She continued to "educate me" on the "why" and "what" reasons and coverages set by my insurance, not the facility. She was still grossly incorrect in the information. She explained to me that I first have to satisfy my deductible and or maximum out-of-pocket limits Anthem set and that is the "why" the estimated out-of-pocket of $811.45 was accurate and that $800 of that amount is going to satisfy the deductible. I was already under stress, fear, and uncertainty about the dates radiological procedures because my paternal aunt just died of metastasized breast cancer which also engulfed her bones. So now I've got an employee lecturing me at length as to "why this information of $811.45 is absolutely correct as per my health insurance and the mandatory deductible due". I have a soft spot for this Emanuel Cancer Center and have been having my female health needs done here when I could go elsewhere. I have just always felt as safe as I could while here. I'm not going to stop coming here however just because of this unfortunate yet preventable business office fiasco but I would like to see this type of unnecessarily stressful situation become extinct. I think the worst of it is either the employee was disallowed to behave any other way or, incorrect training maybe? They could also reach out to leadership with Anthem BC and inform them of these unacceptable outcomes when inquiring for patient services. Either way, all 3 options could lead to higher patient satisfaction ratings and less stress & anxiety for everyone involved.

Dr. Asadi is a GREAT physician! She's hands down the best we've found since we moved to this area…read more She's professional, extremely knowledgeable and experienced and has a fantastic way with kids! Her personality is quite mellow but don't be fooled by this. She's calm and relaxed but is often able to discern with laser pinpoint precision what exactly is wrong and how to help our children within minutes! Another great thing is that she isn't one of those rotten doctor's offices that quadruple books a 15 minute time slot to make money but make you and your kids suffer for three hours in a room full of sick kids. Every pediatrician has done this in the area. Again, she is a professional and provides a professional environment. She even has a special section for infants so they can be shielded from the sick bigger kids. Dr. Asadi is the best!

From my very first visit, he was incredibly kind, thorough, and took the time to truly understand what was going on with my knee. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Beauchman's care, and his support staff is equally wonderful--always encouraging, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience with the office management was the complete opposite. I called several times to speak with the office manager, only to later find out she had already left for the day. The staff seemed unaware of her availability, which reflected poor communication within the office. I've also spoken with friends who have been seen at this office, and they shared similar frustrations about how difficult it is to get in contact with Manager Maira. I genuinely believe the office would benefit from management that leads with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication. The staff seemed to lack the support and guidance that strong leadership should provide, and I think the overall patient experience would improve significantly with better management. Because of this experience, I won't be recommending Valley River Orthopedics. Merced already has too few healthcare offices that consistently provide compassionate customer service, so it was especially disappointing to encounter this level of hospitality.

I took my daughter to Valley Children's clinic in Merced. She was diagnosed with having a…read morepilomatricoma (similar to a small cyst) on her neck. The doctor said that it could easily be removed with surgery. Before the surgery was scheduled, the clinic sent me an estimate of what the operation would cost. The estimate was just over $13,000. A friend of mine suggested contacting a dermatologist to avoid putting her through surgery. The dermatologist said that removing it would be a simple in-office procedure. We decided that was the better of the two options. As planned, the doctor numbed the area, removed the small protrusion, put a few stitches in, and sent her on her way. The cost was around $400. My question is: WHY WOULDN'T VALLEY CHILDREN'S EXPLAIN THAT AN OPERATION WASN'T NECESSARY IN THIS CASE? Why was surgery with an anesthesiologist recommended rather than opting for a much simpler (and less expensive) in-office procedure? I have one additional complaint to offer here. The one-time office visit to Valley Children's clinic (explained above) lasted about 15 minutes. I received a doctor's bill for that visit and paid it right away. Later I received a separate bill from the clinic and questioned what the requested $189 was for. It seems that the clinic is entitled to charge a patient for walking in the door. That charge is separate from the doctor's charge. To me, this doesn't seem fair. While I do believe Valley Children's Hospital and clinics help many kids with major medical problems, they are definitely an over-priced alternative to other avenues of medical care. In this case, I believe the non-profit organization was being intentionally deceitful.
