WARNING!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I implore with you do not use these people. My husband had an accident on his HD. After having it for five months and $7000 he literally got only one thing that he wanted on the bike which was the seat. everything else was a used part from someone else's bike. Not one single thing that he ordered was correct. He handed over the check only with the agreement that he would make it right. Here we are 4 months later and not one call has been returned not one thing has been done. My husband even went to the Harley shop and did a complete itemize list for him all he had to do was placed the order. Even with him trying to do his job for him he took the money and ran. Brought my Suzuki in because I was having power loss problems and wanted to get a check up on my motorcycle before I gave it away. I called in advance and Joel was super helpful and let me come in that day to get it checked it. Only charged an hour worth of labor for a safety inspection. The bike worked good as new afterward, and he gave great recommendations and tips on maintaining it since I'm a new rider. Great shop! read more

I've picked up my bike twice and both times it came home it wouldn't start!! It had to go back to the shop. The battery isn't charging and this was not an issue when the bike was brought in for repairs. The bike started right up even after two months of sitting!! Now I'm told that I have to purchase a new battery!! The money I paid in advance should have been enough to guarantee that my bike would be running with no problems. Other than a small oil leak there was nothing mechanically wrong with my bike when it was picked up and taken to the shop. Now I am finding myself paying more money I don't have just to get my bike running. read more

a couple months ago I bought an 02 FXDX Dyna 88inch Super Glide at Merced Custom Motorcycles. My first Harley, can't stop riding it or thinking about it. I can't believe how well it does on the freeway, as a mtr of fact I'm shocked.. smoother than any bike I've rode and it has more passing power than I'll ever use.. so addicting.. and in my opinion easier than driving a Cadillac on the freeway.. Sometimes when I go to get on it I'll stop and just stare at it for a sec and think.. "is this real?" "is it really mine?" I've been to SF, Sacramento and alot of places in between there & Merced The people at Merced Custom Motorcycles were very nice, down to earth, mellow, there was no pressure, they made me feel very comfortable and as a result I had no problem figuring out what I wanted. they let me pick the bike I wanted and I was gone on my new bike. Great Service!! I don't know what that lady is talking about below me, but this shop rocks! I have done business with them twice now and the last time was an emergency repair because my muffler fell off (bracket broke). Joel got me into the shop right away, fabricated a bracket, and got me back on the road to the bay area so I could get to work. He could've charged me an emergency rate or raised the prices just for getting me in but he didn't. He showed great business ethic and insured a repeat customer. This shop has the best customer service. They break their back to get your work done professionally. Their mechanics have been riding for 20 plus years and know bikes like no one else does. No technical aptitude whatsoever. My Cam on my H-D Dyna-Glide wasn't working because the pin on the shaft which drives the main gear was bent and sheared the inside of the gear making it inoperable. These clowns take the entire engine apart, excluding the cam cover which they never checked. J-S comes up with a cock and bull story, claiming my H-D cross hatchings in the cylinder weren't machined correctly! Talk about an epic fail. On top of it all they stole my head covers and put them on another Dyna. I know because they were warped when I got back. It's the coolest part of the engine, and they had another flat black Dyna there at the time, all evidence suggests foul play. I had to rescue the bike and take it to a reputable dealer. I would have saved hundreds if I had taken it anybody else first. Save yourself the trouble, time and money and avoid this shop at all costs. Never go to Merced Custom Motorcycles for any reason. You will lose every time. They call him J-S "second" Story, he earned for pulling stunts like this and got punished by the Hell's Angels throwing him out the second story window. Unfortunately he's still alive to steal your money. His son, Joel, follows in his father's footsteps. read more
