Definitely my favorite nail salon in the area. Renee is always my go-to but Catherine and Quyen are…read morealso both great. My nails always turn out the way I want, and I will definitely continue to come back.

After sitting on this for a while, I've decided to update my review/rating for this salon and…read more(unfortunately) do not plan to return here. The first time I went in was awesome - Vickie gave me hands down one of the best SNS manicures I've ever had, but my next 2 experiences left much to be desired. Vickie was unavailable the second time I called and I probably would have waited for her to have an opening (not that it would've mattered - more on that), but my birthday was in 2 days and I was headed out of town to celebrate, so, I didn't want my nails lookin' all busted and figured (based on my first experience) whomever I got would be great. I was very wrong. My second manicure here was a mess: color bled and there were silver sparkles through; the color I was shown originally was a chromatic metal, but I ended up with silver glitter french tips, better suited for Christmas (ironically, the woman at the front desk came to show me how cool her chromatic blue/green nails were - I almost said something, but at that point, figured I just made a mistake not waiting for Vickie). When I mentioned a design I was thinking about getting in the future, the nail tech stated the colors I wanted clashed and didn't match lol like wat?! I understand making recommendations, but insulting a customer's taste, because the nail tech doesn't like the design is just...bad business. Additionally, the nail tech didn't fully remove the red from my nail before applying the new color and red was still visible under the new set when I got home. The tipping point, however, was when she commented on how the other nail techs talk too much, which I found/find highly unprofessional - don't badmouth your coworkers to employees folks!! Come on... Immediately upon getting home and seeing what a horrible job the nail tech did, I called back and scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out with Vickie, and even stated on the phone to the receptionist (I think Angela is the receptionist's name, but could be wrong) that I was scheduling that far out to ensure I got to see Vickie. Fast forward 2 weeks and I went in for my mani/pedi appt, excited to FINALLY get my nails done again by Vickie. However, when my pedicure was done I was placed in the chair of the nail tech next to Vickie and was super confused when she started asking me the shape and color I wanted for my nails, given my appointment was with Vickie, not her. While the woman I ended up getting my manicure from did a decent job, I was floored when Vickie didn't say a WORD to me as I stared at her in confusion. Based on the tension between Vickie and her neighboring tech (aka the woman who ultimately did my nails), I figured she got behind and asked the girl who ultimately did my nails to help her out, but what continues to bug me in all of this is the absolute lack of communication from ANYONE as to why the appointment I made 2 weeks prior was not being respected/kept (she had the same customer at her station from when I arrived - I could have said, "no, I'll wait," but honestly, I was waiting for Vickie to communicate on what was going on and at the very least say, "So sorry! I fell behind - do you mind if ________ does your manicure today?"). The other part of this situation that really bugged me is I'm unsure if I got passed off to whoever was available at the time due to Vickie's next customer being related to and/or family friend's of the receptionist (the receptionist kept coming over to Vickie's client and petting her hair, giving the impression she was either related to the girl OR a family friend), but regardless, I found it HIGHLY unprofessional and insulting that my original appointment was not honored. To add insult to injury, my bill went up by $11.00, and while that may have been due to me getting a french pedicure design (but $11.00 - really??), nothing was ever communicated to me on the change in price, leaving me to believe the cost was arbitrarily raised. Super disappointed all around, as I thought that I finally found a salon I could go to regularly, but I won't go somewhere that doesn't honor my appointments with the nail tech I made it with nor communicates...well, much of anything.

Have you ever been charged $5 extra for having healthy nails? Guess there is a first time for…read moreeverything..... I come here around once a month and today's experience went how the majority of other visits have gone. I was greeted when I entered, I checked in, had to wait a bit for a pedi chair and for my mani tech which was to be expected since I didn't have an appointment and came during a busy time (10a the day before Mother's Day), gel pedi and dip mani turned out great as always.....however the checkout experience was strange. I noticed during checkout I was being changed $5 for length. I explained that I didn't get tips and got dip on my natural nail and I was told since I left my natural nails longer, it takes more time and therefore I was being charged extra. I was very confused and pushed back because I have naturally long nail beds, I also have extra skin that grows under my nails which prevents them from being cut to the main skin, and also I have never been charged this fee at this salon before. On this visit I have less than 0.5mm clearance between the tip of my nail and the extra skin under my nail which is painful if cut on most nails. Even though the checkout lady disagreed with me, one of the techs came over and said they would wave the fee THIS time since I had to wait. I felt like I was being punished for having healthy nails which is a turn off since I've never experienced this in all of my years of getting my nails done almost every month. This really has me reconsidering returning especially since I already get charged for sns/dip removal that they put on the month before (lots of salons wave this if they put them on). I've been paying extra for the convenience, nail quality, and sweet owner but I refuse to pay extra because I and also this salon do a good job taking care of my nails and genetics making my nails appear longer than most due to my long nail bed....

More often than not I find nail technicians rush through the pedicure with walk-ins to get you in and out, so they can move onto the next customer, but Joy took her time and kept checking with me to ensure the job she was doing met expectations. I also appreciated that during my manicure she checked to see if I wanted her to apply more coats to my nails, as the color I got was very light, and required more than 2 layers of polish. Will be back and so happy I came here on a whim!

Spend your money else where, some place where your nails actually stay on especially after paying 95$ So I went in right after the reopening of N.C. and the whole salon looked clean and well prepared for what we're all currently going through. The lady that did my nails/toes was very sweet. I loved my nails and toes when I left and considered making this my forever nail place. However, I got my nails done on Saturday night and here I am 4 days later and I have one nails already off and two more lifting. I'm super disappointed as I walked out of there spending 95$ I was hoping my nails would last longer than this since it's the first time I got them done in three months. Other than this, the salon is very clean, everyone is polite and their prices are fair. Maybe I'll come back down the road and give them another try, but for now I will try other places.
