Started cracking after a few days

I hate writing bad reviews but I had to say something because this was just an awful experience. I just recently moved to the Burlington area and was looking for a new nail place and found K Nails on yelp. I was hoping for a good experience based on the reviews it had on here but unfortunately, that did not happen. I got a regular pedi and gel mani. The gel manicure is where it all went south, so if you're going in for a standard pedicure than you should be fine but if you're looking for a gel mani, may the odds be ever in your favor. My nails kept bubbling under the UV light which is not at all the technicians fault, but how she decides to handle it is where I base my review. She just tried to paint over the huge lumps of bubbled up paint thinking I wouldn't notice and I had to ask her several times to redo my nails until finally I had enough and left with bumpy nails. Never again

Just got my nails done here at K nails few days ago and I'm in love with my nails!! I think their price is really reasonable and Tami, who worked on my nails was so patient with me. I love powder and I think they do a great job. Its not that special inside and outside, small and simple but they def know what they are doing. Can't wait to come back in few weeks!!

I only paid $42 (before tip) for a French Gelish manicure for my nails and a pedicure for my feet.

Cherry Blossom will forever be my go to place. The vibe is spectacular! The ladies go above and…read morebeyond to please my Nail Art obsession. They are extremely patient with me. I'm sorry ladies in advance, I know I can be very picky....but that is what I absolutely adore about all of you. Every single one of you take your time so the customer is left satisfied. Please disregard the Karen's ( I mean Vanessa's and Floating 0) reviews. They are not doing this wonderful small business any justice. One more thing, check out Cherry Blossom's Facebook and google reviews as well. You will not be disappointed. See you all soon.

I don't patron businesses where the owner has an attitude problem. The 3rd time she did my nails,…read more2 weeks later, I had lost 3 nails. The next week, 3 more nails came off . When I went back and discussed my frustration, she was very nasty with me. I ended up paying $80 to get my nails done over and had just paid $70 to get them done when they came off in 2 weeks. No way should you lose 6 nails in 3 weeks . Period! I'm not even going to mention how I was forced to pay for a polish change that I did not want nor request because her coworker had to do my repair when the first nails came off. She didn't have the chrome polish that I already had on and paid extra for when I initially had them done. So she had no choice but to change my polish and had the nerve to charge me for it . Bad bad business!

Definitely my favorite nail salon in the area. Renee is always my go-to but Catherine and Quyen are…read morealso both great. My nails always turn out the way I want, and I will definitely continue to come back.

After sitting on this for a while, I've decided to update my review/rating for this salon and…read more(unfortunately) do not plan to return here. The first time I went in was awesome - Vickie gave me hands down one of the best SNS manicures I've ever had, but my next 2 experiences left much to be desired. Vickie was unavailable the second time I called and I probably would have waited for her to have an opening (not that it would've mattered - more on that), but my birthday was in 2 days and I was headed out of town to celebrate, so, I didn't want my nails lookin' all busted and figured (based on my first experience) whomever I got would be great. I was very wrong. My second manicure here was a mess: color bled and there were silver sparkles through; the color I was shown originally was a chromatic metal, but I ended up with silver glitter french tips, better suited for Christmas (ironically, the woman at the front desk came to show me how cool her chromatic blue/green nails were - I almost said something, but at that point, figured I just made a mistake not waiting for Vickie). When I mentioned a design I was thinking about getting in the future, the nail tech stated the colors I wanted clashed and didn't match lol like wat?! I understand making recommendations, but insulting a customer's taste, because the nail tech doesn't like the design is just...bad business. Additionally, the nail tech didn't fully remove the red from my nail before applying the new color and red was still visible under the new set when I got home. The tipping point, however, was when she commented on how the other nail techs talk too much, which I found/find highly unprofessional - don't badmouth your coworkers to employees folks!! Come on... Immediately upon getting home and seeing what a horrible job the nail tech did, I called back and scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out with Vickie, and even stated on the phone to the receptionist (I think Angela is the receptionist's name, but could be wrong) that I was scheduling that far out to ensure I got to see Vickie. Fast forward 2 weeks and I went in for my mani/pedi appt, excited to FINALLY get my nails done again by Vickie. However, when my pedicure was done I was placed in the chair of the nail tech next to Vickie and was super confused when she started asking me the shape and color I wanted for my nails, given my appointment was with Vickie, not her. While the woman I ended up getting my manicure from did a decent job, I was floored when Vickie didn't say a WORD to me as I stared at her in confusion. Based on the tension between Vickie and her neighboring tech (aka the woman who ultimately did my nails), I figured she got behind and asked the girl who ultimately did my nails to help her out, but what continues to bug me in all of this is the absolute lack of communication from ANYONE as to why the appointment I made 2 weeks prior was not being respected/kept (she had the same customer at her station from when I arrived - I could have said, "no, I'll wait," but honestly, I was waiting for Vickie to communicate on what was going on and at the very least say, "So sorry! I fell behind - do you mind if ________ does your manicure today?"). The other part of this situation that really bugged me is I'm unsure if I got passed off to whoever was available at the time due to Vickie's next customer being related to and/or family friend's of the receptionist (the receptionist kept coming over to Vickie's client and petting her hair, giving the impression she was either related to the girl OR a family friend), but regardless, I found it HIGHLY unprofessional and insulting that my original appointment was not honored. To add insult to injury, my bill went up by $11.00, and while that may have been due to me getting a french pedicure design (but $11.00 - really??), nothing was ever communicated to me on the change in price, leaving me to believe the cost was arbitrarily raised. Super disappointed all around, as I thought that I finally found a salon I could go to regularly, but I won't go somewhere that doesn't honor my appointments with the nail tech I made it with nor communicates...well, much of anything.
