This was a strange experience. I came for a manicure & pedicure and right away the employee tells me my nails are too long. I told them I keep my natural nails long, and take good care of them and want to keep them that way. He repeated again that they're too long and need to be cut. Again I told him I didn't want to & this made me a little nervous. We proceeded with the pedicure, which took a very long time. It wasn't terrible, the pedicure was OK.
When it came time for the manicure, I said I wanted my cuticles pushed back only, and not cut. Again, I was met with disappointment. I politely asked the employee if they have experience with natural nails (assuming that maybe they only do gel and tips well but maybe not natural nails) and they said yes. So I continued to explain that I want almond file, and don't want to cut the cuticle and I show them my base coat (I bring my own). The person refuses to use my coat. They said I can't use that as a base. Ive been getting manicures done, with my nails at this length, for several years. This is the base coat I always use. Several salons in my area also offer this base coat for an additional charge. After the person told me that I finally listened to my gut and said no to the mani and just the pedicure.
They were otherwise nice, so this review isn't for being unkind, but if I'm a paying customer and explaining what id like done the last thing I want is to try and be convinced to do something else.
this review is only for natural/real nails. Maybe they do gel manicure and tips well, but if you have bare nails (especially if you keep them long) and you want a mani I strongly recommend going elsewhere. read more
