If I could give negative stars, I would. I love the idea of solar. Meraki is a Predatory, manipulative, lying company that gaslights its dissatisfied customers and consistently fails to provide transparent data. In the 2.5 years I've had my horrible quality panels (turned on after 5 months of waiting for them to get their paperwork sorted because they didn't know what they were doing in this county originally) the kilowatt hours listed as "received" by the power company has ALWAYS been less than the input reported by My Solar Edge. Zero transparency, absolutely NO way for customers to ever cross check the numbers. Meraki claims that my home directly uses some of the energy and they want me to trust them that that explains away the mismatched numbers, but they provide absolutely no way for customers to ever check their math. I will be happy to share entire copy of My Solar Edge history and power company bills (minus my personal information of course) to anyone wanting to look at how this cheating and lying on Meraki's part has played out. I pay $150 a month on the loan for this horrific scam of solar panels, and I STILL pay up to $180 a month on my power bill. They paid to trim major tree branches that they claim were lowering my solar input, but those same large branches were present at time of installation so they simply failed from the beginning to properly prep the roof area and the money they paid for tree service does me no good whatsoever. In the myriad gaslighting, stressful dialogues I've had with Meraki I explained the least they could do, *absolute least* would be to reimburse me the full amount of what I've paid thus far, and if they truly meant to do right by me they'd balance the remainder of the loan. They refused to do even the bare minimum and tried to convince me of how grateful I should be that they reimbursed me a tiny amount that they calculated corresponded to the decreased input I've had to deal with since solar panels were turned on (and remember, they took FIVE MONTHS after installation to turn the panels on!)
I also mentioned my Meraki woes to an engineer friend and before I explained anything he went on a rant about how inflated their prices were and how neither he nor his engineer spouse trusted Meraki due to the lack of transparency in pricing when they had both asked for detailed breakdown of costs.
In addition, since getting my horrible Meraki panels installed, I have had various Meraki reps come down my block and ask me at least 7 times if I was interested in getting solar panels. They have horrific communication within their company and totally disorganized filing. I and everyone on my block are SO SICK of their pushy, used car salesman shtick. I'm so upset I fell for it when they were new to the area before ppl saw their true colors.
Meraki cheated me out of 24k and their product and service is absolute crap.
NEVER ever do business with this manipulative, horrific company. They will smile at you and act nice and then hook you into a horrific loan and your power bill WILL NOT go away. read more
