The best dentist I've ever been to, which means a lot in Orange County. I can't say I love going to the dentist, but I honestly don't mind when it comes to mend because they've taken such great care of my family and me. Facility is very clean and they use modern equipment and techniques. The staff are so kind and they value personalized patient care. Frank usually does my cleaning and he always gives me tips to level-up my dental hygiene in ways that make sense for my lifestyle and are easy to remember - details matter and he'll always notice when I take his advice and he sees improvements. Dr. Sison is the best out there and I trust her fully. She always prioritizes my best interest. She is extremely thorough and has extremely high standards for her and the staff's work. When I had a dental emergency, she and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and make sure I was well taken care of. She also has a visiting Dr Shah who does implants - I was originally worried he may not be as good but I was so wrong...he's just as amazing, thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. Was I happy to be going to the dentist? No. But the staff here did a great job of making me feel comfortable anyway. Frank did an excellent (and speedy) job on my cleaning and Ricardo took care of me as I dealt with a failed root canal (not from Mend, from a prior dentist) that I had to get retreated. I didn't enjoy the actual procedures (who would??) but honestly the staff made me feel as comfortable and taken care of as possible and I really appreciate it. They even have TVs in the room so you can put on a show or movie and just zone out while your teeth get cleaned. Overall, I'm happy it was so easy to find a good dental office in Irvine. read more

Short wait times, kind hygienists and dentists, thorough cleanings. What more can you ask for? I came here initially to get a second opinion after another dental clinic told me I needed Invisalign to correct my bite. I felt that the other clinic was very pushy, almost coercing me to make follow up appointment on the spot and pay for additional treatments. I got none of that from mend dental. The dentist here took care to explain how my teeth would look before and after Invisalign, discussing the pros and cons and basically said it would help a little but not really worth the effort. With recent new ownership and a new dental experience Mend Dental and the dentists create a really comfortable environment to get your teeth worked on. I was never a fan of going to the dentist in the past but the two primary doctors there and staff and knowledgeable and offer fair pricing and realistic scenarios. They don't try to upsell you. The doctors and dental assistants help to educate you on the best next steps for work needed. I now have Invisalign through them that was scanned with their iTero machine. I am totally appalled at the fraudulent billing this place is trying to pull. They have a contract through anthem. At the time I was scheduling services for a crown, I paid in full. I paid actually OVER the amount of the patient responsibility owed from Anthem. Months go by and I stop by for a routine cleaning. They tried to tell me I have an out standing balance. Attempting to bill me for NON covered services. Which is against their contract with anthem with out notifying the patient prior and having them sign off on non covered services. They were also billing my statement to the incorrect address which I've had no affiliation to ever and is a HIPPA violation. read more

I just had my regular check up and was diagnosed with a cavity. At first I felt nervous because I had never had cavities before, heck I didn't even know what a cavity truly is, but Dr. Sison kindly and thoroughly explained the issue using my x-rays and a super cool 3D scan of my teeth. That instantly eased my anxiety because she helped me understand it all. Honestly this is why I trust her so much. Really incompetent dentistry here. I had a malignant cancer in my face pressing on a nerve including a palpable mass. It was causing teeth pain, so I went to a dentist as would be the obvious sequence of action for any lay individual. The dentist here misdiagnosed me with TMJ syndrome and I had to pay out of pocket 600$+ for a mouth guard I didn't even need. Thank goodness I ended up getting a second opinion elsewhere, this place will do anything to get you to pay more including endangering your health. I ended up seeing a TMJS expert who told me the pain I had was not typical for TMJS and that this place really missed the mark. He told me to see an ENT which literally saved my life. I could have had this cancer taken care over two years earlier if not for this dentistry. Go somewhere, else you'll be better off and spend less money. read more

It's unfortunate I have to leave such a negative review. The new ownership has ruined this office. I had a horrible experience! Dr Sison definitely needs some additional training. First off, she could never get me numb and blamed me for this. I have a hard time getting numb, but I've never not been able to get numb. She clearly doesn't have the experience. Because she could not get me numb, she advised she would not complete my veener procedure unless I were to be put to sleep. Do to my medical it took about 9 weeks of having temporary teeth put in ( that came out once). I spent 20k for the veneers and advised I could not afford anymore money to be put to sleep. She advised that she would assist with the cost and I would only need to pay $1600. Imagine my surprise that I had a $3200 charge from the anesthesiologist! She never spoke to the anesthesiologist about the cost r even spoke to me about the cost! She then came back saying she did and completely lied. She has been so unprofessional during the entire process. She then told me she would pay me $800 if I signed a agreement that I wouldn't sue her down the line. Clearly that tells me that she knows she was wrong. She has her assistant speak to me and refused to speak to me, which was ridiculous! She also threatened me that she was going to go back through my file to audit and see what I owe them. Clearly I owed nothing and thought it was so insane to threaten me with something like that! I am currently fighting these charges with my credit card company as well as having all charges reviewed by me dental provider as I believe I have been overcharged. If you want an inexperienced and unprofessional dentist, by all means come to this office! This encounter has caused me so much unnecessary anxiety. You would think a doctor that takes an oath would be truthful and professional! read more

This dental office, doctors and staff has taken care of my family and me for the last 2 years. The patience and professionalism they have showed to all of us is way above and beyond any standards. Professional staff always greet us with smile, always prepared with correct billing invoice and always on top of our next appointments. My dad has Alzheimer's, and has not been cooperative eve at times. They never gave us hard time or made us feel bad.
