We went into the store 6/13 around 8-9pm. There was a big rush and Destiny was working cashier, Kennedy (Caucasian girl with nose ring I believe) was wiping down machines. As it got to our turn, many machines started blinking and stopped working. We asked Kennedy if she could check on the machines and all she said was "do you want me to check? There should be someone back there", Something along the lines of she's " had a long day", basically just rambling under her breathe... we said yes please, and all she continues to do is wipe down machines as we stand there for couple of minutes more! Destiny on the other hand is working the register AND running to the back to stock up on fruits and other things for customers. Kennedy just continues to wipe down machines (which seemed cleaned by the way) and disregarded customers that asked her for help. Personally saw no customer service or teamwork within Kennedy. Didn't even get my ice cream after waiting 30 mins. It was pretty sad to see someone providing such great customer service while the girl barely did the BARE minimum. Great job Destiny!!! read more

I went to this Menchie's for the first time a few months ago and it was my last time going there. There were two girls working and you can hear their conversation loud and clear one girl was talking about how she was so sick. She just wanted to go home, so that was a very big concern for me. The other gal was just so irritated that it made me uncomfortable. I was getting three bowls, frozen yogurt place was a mess. I felt rushed by other customers to hurry up and get my frozen yogurt even though I was apologizing, I had never been there. I didn't know exactly what I was doing, I tried asking how everything works and the gal who is already irritated really didn't want to bother to explain. So I just got my frozen yogurt. Put the toppings on that my mom and my sister said they wanted and got what I wanted and I ended up paying like $45 for everything and that's not even including the tip that she was expecting. For not even doing anything to help me. The only reason why I went. There was because the melon seed was closed or I wouldn't even have gone there at all. My husband and I both got two fairly small sundaes, our pink cups were both about half full, and we were charged $14 dollars!!!! The quality of the yogurt is subpar. I would not recommend and not go again. Also my husband accidentally dropped his cup, and he cleaned up the entire mess. We were the only customers, no one was being rung up. The girl working just kind of looked at him. No "oh don't worry about it, I got it for you" or "thank you for cleaning that up with your own baby wipes" just blank unfriendly glances. I have a love/hate relationship with Menchies. Considering this establishment is still fairly new, I was glad to see that it was actually clean and I wasn't sticking to the ground! Menchie's has now reached T-town!! I was disappointed to hear the location, as I really hate anything located by the mall, especially the food court side which is already saturated by traffic. The one thing you can expect about Menchie's is that every location is the same. My girlfriend and I stopped in after a day of holiday shopping. We noticed that the two girls working there came off kind of rude and standoffish. I asked a question about one of the machines as the yogurt was very runny. It had a blinking light on the front. All of the other machines had a solid light. They told me that that was just for them and that the yogurt was fine. Like I said it was very runny. Probably won't ever come back to this location again. This place is awesome! I was going to Limeberry often, but then they closed down. So me and hubby decided to give this place a try and there's more variety here! The yogurt tastes great, great flavors, and the toppings are fresh! I had a combination of Reese's, chocolate, and cookie butter yogurt with the toppings: heath, kit kat, chocolate chips, oreo, and chocolate syrup.... perfection!!! My hubby had vanilla, and pineapple yogurt with the toppings: kiwi, strawberry, almonds, and whip cream and he loved it! Plus the cashier girl that helped us was super nice! the girl in the front was friendly and helpful when i couldn't decide which flavor to get! i loved that you can make your own mix and they have a huge variety of toppings and fresh fruit. they now put them all in little containers, and i also noticed that it was very clean and i saw them wiping down the counters after every customer- that was nice to see especially with covid and everything going on. i haven't been into the tacoma mall menchies in a while, and i was very impressed with the selection of cakes in the freezer, there were all kinds of creative designs- i chose this pretty waffle cake and they were able to write happy birthday on it, over all i'm very impressed!! read more

I had mixed feelings on whether or not I should give a 5/5. I came to this Menchie's last night for $5 Friday and although the frozen yogurt tasted like heaven especially for the price (you fill your cup up as much as your little heart desires for only $5) the level of service was not up to par. My only complaint of this visit was of the employee Tiffany at the cash register. When I walked through the door she was leaning on the counter with her back to the door. She turned her head, not her body, to say "welcome to menchie's" but then proceeded to turn her head back with her back still away from the door as if to show a complete disinterest in her job. However, I was back at the Mall today to find some new running shoes and decided to stop in for a small bowl of heaven. I was instantly greeted when I walked in the door by the smiling employee and by the smell of waffles in the air! I saw that they should have cinnamon waffle bowls but none had been made yet. Although the employee Dianna had not made any cinnamon yet and was in the middle of something she was happy to accommodate my request for a small cinnamon bowl. I had a few questions about nutrition and she had the knowledge and ability to find information for me quickly. Today's visit made up for yesterdays so I feel that this Menchie's does deserve a 5 stars! And bonus I was told to "Have a smiley day!" This location is awesome. I came in here with a party of 30 (mostly kids) for dessert after dinner, and they were so kind and patient with us. I didn't spend as much as I expected, which was a plus!
