Froyo is not good at all. Bland taste and icy texture. The girl at the register just looked at her phone the whole time then we were asked to leave a tip...? Not happening with that service. A family friendly dessert place that has something for everyone. And the kids especially love it. I really appreciated that they had so many flavors of fro-yo. I remember at least 10, if not 12. And you can swirl some of those. It's also nice to be able to sample the flavors to see what you want. To top it all off... (pun intended!) they have a huge selection of candy toppings, fruit, sauces, etc. Mix and match to your hearts content. It was also very clean and bright and a welcoming environment. I love the froze yogurt and I'm obsessed with the toppings and being able to self serve. I definitely wish they had more flavors. The staff are super friendly and chill. It's super affordable. The guy with glasses at the counter needs to worry about taking the over-flowing trash out than to make my husband uncomfortable by flirting with him. He Even had the audacity to ask my husband if he's "African American". (He's not). Then continued to compliment his skin tone and texture and how 'beautiful' it is. We didn't come into get ice cream for the guy to lay it on so thick. I had an appalling experience today when I went into Menchie's. I went to get some frozen yogurt and I found out that they do not use gloves when putting the toppings in the bin. Yes, they reach into the bins with their bare unwashed and uncovered hands to stock the toppings. This is absolutely unacceptable and anyone with any common sense would know that that is not okay. I asked them about it and they justified it because they thought it was okay. If you are serving food in an establishment you are required by law to have a food handler's permit and this facility obviously doesn't enforce their employees to hold basic food standards. DO NOT EAT HERE! THEY ARE CONTAMINATING OUR FOOD AND YOU COULD GET SICK! Please be careful. read more

Love this place - very similar to Yogurtland back in Cali. They had a plethora of sweet and fresh fruit toppings. What really impressed me was, they have MOCHI!! Two thumbs up for this! The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars was because I felt like they needed more yogurt flavors. The service was quite terrible. No one was in the front to help us for the first 10 minutes we were there. We could however hear them giggling in the back. When all three of the employees including the "general manager" finally came to the front we asked if we could sample any of the yogurts. Menchies yogurt tastes like a super-sweetened, artificially flavored "dairy product". Compare this to a place like Red Mango, where the flavors taste intense and clean without an artificial aftertaste or artificial sweetener. It creeps to our doors and whispers "non-fat" so we let it in without regard to the superfluous sugar that makes it palatable. Menchies is a purveyor of such yoghurts. It's a well-lit, pastel and pleasant den of dairy iniquity, like a heroin den without all the glamor. One takes a cup and fills it with the yoghurts of his choice, covers it with toppings and/or sauces and they weight it and charge you $0.39 an ounce for it. That seems pretty steep. I shelled out the extra $1 for a waffle cone, and they was included in the overall weight ... And it all tasted like yoghurt. We got a sugar-free/fat-free/almost chocolate chocolate, some peach and some vanilla. The available toppings were plentiful, but of the array only the "popping boba orange" and "popping boba strawberry" intrigued me. They are pea sized nodules that burst in your mouth and shoot flavored juice out. The strawberry was very artificial flavor flavored, but the orange was good. The staff was nice, the place was clean, so if one is desperate and lactose tolerant, I wouldn't dissuade one from trying it, though I may encourage one to get a bowl of bobas with a smidgen of yoghurt to bind them together. read more

Menchie's is similar to the plethora of froyo peddlers in Utah Valley. Seriously, why so many of these things? I couldn't tell you other than to say no one likes to travel too far for a tasty treat. Menchie's is one of my favorites for that reason: it's the closest froyo to my house. Despite the proximity, it is very good too! The yogurt was pretty good but the young woman working the register went above and beyond this evening. The couple in front of us was being a huge pain in the ass about much they hated the flavor they picked. I get it, there's no sample cups right now because of a serious virus, and life sucks, but if you can't be chill in a yogurt shop - stay home. They kept whining about not wanting to pay for it and how they were just going to throw it out. She handled it all, super cool and was incredibly polite to them. Honestly, I was skeptical of this place at first because I had a set yogurt joint that I enjoyed going to. My friends talked me into going and now I'm a fan! The place. It's a smaller place that still has quite a bit of seating for your group of friends with both inside and outside seating. It's going to be great now that the weather is staying warmer. The inside is kept very clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The treat. Let's get down to the real reason people go to get yogurt--the taste. The taste of the yogurt is true to the name of the flavor and the picture they have above the machine. They are regularly changing the flavors they offer so there is usually always something new to try. The price is comparable to any yogurt place in the Orem/Provo area. The only downside is it should be open longer on weekdays. They are only open until 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 p.m. on weekends so if you want yogurt after those times, you have to go to their competition down the road a ways. Other than that, I would highly recommend Menchie's! read more

The selection of flavors isn't quite as extensive as Yogurtland but I have NEVER been disappointed after visiting Menchies. Love, love, love this place. We celebrated our son's birthday there, expecting just yogurt and was pleasantly surprised with all the extras that came with it! They had a decent sized party room that was nicely decorated and filled with balloons upon our arrival. The customer service was great, and prices were very reasonable.
