This is the place where I can get my Dole Whip fix. The store was clean, the flavors I tried were fresh - not thawed & refrozen. Thawed & refrozen gives the FroYo a granular texture. All cash biz - so bring a card. The card reader has a tip screen (owner programmed) - my pet peeve. A self-serve biz that asks for a tip to weigh & take payment. read more

Let me tell you Lily Encinias is the best Menchie's worker I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Not only was she kind and extremely helpful, but she truly made me feel like I was part of the Menchie's family. That is truly something priceless. She is amazing at her job and I was truly taken aback by the outstanding effort she makes to ensure customer satisfaction. read more

The food was amazing and the customer service was even better. Alyson was a very helpful and knowledgeable employee.

16 delicious flavors, 50 sweet toppings, clean bright colorful decor, friendly staff, indoor & outdoor seating, what's not to like? It's all smiles anytime anyone suggests Menchies and everyone is happy with the delicious concoction that they create. They even have a chalk board for the kids to write on and just got a huge connect four set to play with. The unique fun spoons are good enough to keep and fun to use after washing again and again in the dishwasher too. read more

Went to the Menchie's on Paseo Del Norte yesterday as a treat after my daughter's Dr. appt. and was disappointed in this shop. It was dirty, the floor was disgusting, and the trash was overflowing. My little one kept picking up trash off the floor. The two teenagers working there were sitting around eating samples and talking. I love Menthie's but won't go back to this one. It was gross. read more

The fun never stops here! Mama and baby date complete! Theres always something new, fun and exciting. The service was fantastic per usual. The flavor options available were SOOO GOOD! We couldn't decide. This will always be our go to place for a treat. read more

Most of the machines were empty or not functioning correctly, the store was dirty, the trash can was overflowing, and neither associate that was working helped us with anything. They were wearing headphones and staring at their phones. They started shutting everything down at 8pm but aren't supposed to close until 9pm... Love Menchies but we will never come back to this location. read more

Menchie's - Overflowing trash - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

The place is as super clean and lively, despite the busyness the girl working there was very kind and patient. The toppings were all stocked and the front yo was delicious. Shout out to the worker with dark curly hair for making us feel welcome and being so friendly, she exceeded our service expectations read more

Unfortunately I think that this is one of the places that was impacted by the pandemic as far as quality and staff. Yogurt machines are sticky and dirty and several options for toppings are out of stock and I was told by the very rude staff that they have "been out for weeks". As an owner, you are responsible for these issues, which is apparently not being kept up. Lucky for me there is a much better option a walk away where the staff was friendly and the shop was clean. Unfortunately I would recommend you save your money for a better and cleaner option than this location of Menchie's read more

I went for the mochi balls & I stayed for the experience. While in town, I searched high & low for mochi balls & I found them, buuuuuut they were smaller than I expected. But nonetheless, I added them to my fro-yo snack. So my tale starts as such: Upon entry, I'm greeted by a employee who gave me instruction on use of the yogurt/ice cream machines and the other two dessert stations. Graham cracker crumbs, gummie bears and MY MOCHI BALLS!!!!! Smaller than normally, but still satisfying to my tastebuds. Your creation is weighed, you pay & you're done. Additionally, there's a loyalty plan that's free & seems pretty sweet, pun not intended, but funny none-the-less. read more

Oh boy! This has Been a favorite of mine for a few years. I held the duchess title for a few of those due to my frequent visits. I've been working on eliminating sugar from my diet and every now and then have something sweet. I went to my ole standby, Menchie's, and was sourly disappointed! Sour being a key word. Something was just night right about the quality, at least the day I was there. The flavor seemed watered down. I had mango sorbet and my standby coconut . Each lacked full flavor and richness I have enjoyed in the past. Maybe it has been too long? My tastebuds adjusted? I'll go again, and I hope that it is better, I hope they have not changed recipes and that this day was just a fluke! read more

Menchies is good when you are craving soft serve frozen yogurt. Lots of little candies, nuts and stuff to add in. There are different brands of these little stores, but Menchie's is a nice place. Take your kids or nieces and nephews, or out of town company after dinner. read more

I love me any dessert that I can justify as healthy! While a national chain, this yogurt place is tops for my family. You get your cup, add whatever flavor(s) of yogurt you want, maybe some waffle cone - then load it up at the topping bar with candy, sprinkles, sauces, brownies, and whipped cream! My tiny kiddo only wanted sprinkles and M&M's, so that's what he got, and that was a-ok. Mine bowl on the other hand was more colorful, with Oreo flavored yogurt, cookie dough pieces of topping, brownies, and chocolate chips. You pay by the weight of the bowl, so there's no penalty for being simple or extravagant. Menchie's is probiotic real yogurt that's certified Kosher. They have sugar free, gluten free, and vegan offerings. read more

There are several varieties of frozen yogurt and even some non dairy options. There are so many different types of toppings and syrups. I enjoy that I can just go wild with as many flavors of frozen yogurt that I want, with as many toppings and syrup combinations that I want. The staff never shame you or judge your combos. read more

Menchie's is a family favorite and the location on Holly is the reason why! The fun atmosphere, Halloween decorations, games for kids, friendly staff... My favorite topping has to be the chocolate covered cherries!!! Delicious! The store is always so clean and organized. I had questions about the ingredient list due to my child's allergies and was given a complete list. I will bring my family back weekly!!! read more

Fro-Yo...no, not a new character in the Hobbit series...but this frozen yogurt would be Hobbit approved! :D Yum Yum...I love this place! The mascot is somewhat Japanese anime looking to me, super cute! I usually like the Cake Batter flavor, but this time I saw Watermelon Sorbet...love at first sample taste! You are allowed to have small samples of the various flavors, free. So if you are gonna drop some coin on some frozen yogurt, and it's not cheap, you better like the flavor you get. I love the toppings here...especially the mochi. Mochi is one of my most favorite things to eat. Mochi ice cream specifically. Mochi with Frozen Yogurt is about as close to FRESH mochi ice cream that I can get to here in the desert. But I was really surprised that they had a vast assortment of fresh fruit for toppings! EXTRA star there for sure. The store was clean and bright. Not too busy for a friday night, but it was pretty chilly outside. The service was fine, nothing extraordinary. My bowl of yumminess put me back $6...pricey yes...but sooo worth it! Great treat once a month after a hard workout at the gym :D read more

Yet another "serve yourself" frozen yogurt turnkey operation. Actually, they claim to serve frozen yogurt and sorbet, but the employees couldn't even tell me the difference between yogurt and sorbet. I tried a chocolate frozen yogurt and a strawberry tart flavor. The chocolate had a medicinal quality, the strawberry was sharp and acrid. Both were strongly artificial tasting. This place is not about good frozen desserts for Albuquerque. It's not even about real food. It's sad when you consider that it would not have been much more effort to create a frozen dessert shop that put emphasis on real quality. Albuquerque deserves better. I won't be back. Chillz Frozen Custard and I Scream Ice Cream are both much better. read more

My favorite yogurt place. Super friendly and clean. The yogurt tastes awesome. I don't know how they do it, but if it says it tastes like an Oreo, that's exactly what you get. There's plenty of variety so even the most picky of eaters will find a yummy treat. read more

I love this menchies location! Great staff. Very clean and good flavor selection. In my near future will take advantage of their custom fro-yo cakes....they look bomb! Overall great service, clean, great staff! read more

Came in here today for a sweet cool down delight! First time I've been here since moving back! First of all I love that they put out little sample cups for the do it yourself FroYo, I could spend hours mixing and matching flavor flavs! I ended up choosing the Nutella flavor with a combo add of sweet salted caramel pretzel!! It was a flavor fusion explosion in my mouth and of course what would your FroYo be without some toppings! The containers have a convenient magnetized lid so while scooping you don't have to hold it open, genius! I topped off with Hershey's white chocolate chips, almonds, and shaved coconut once your ready to check out your magnificent and one of a kind creation they base there pricing on the weight of the FroYo another genius method! We got 4 so all together with tax spent $21 not bad not bad! The shop is clean, vibrant, and super trendy! The girl working was quiet but I think she was a little shy all in all the experience was lovely!! read more

Yogurt was great and store was cleaned. Lkve the many options. Store is under new manavement.

This place gives me the creeps. The staff members act like they are workers at Chuck-E-Cheese. I am not a child! They watch you creepily (I guess they have nothing else to do) as you serve yourself. I believe the owner came in, again, bad vibes. On top of it all, the prices were WAY to expensive. I do not recommend this place to anyone--unless you are a little kid that likes to get stalked. read more

Did you know that Menchies is the World's Largest Self-Service Frozen Yogurt Franchise? Don't worry, I was also in the dark about that. When I think frozen yogurt, I think Pinkberry. But that's only because I religiously watch Curb Your Enthusiasm. Did you see that episode where LD eats the frozen yogurt that he and Jeff purchase for Susie's dog Oscar as his last meal before being euthanized? That is some truly funny shit. Anyway, Menchies. Who knew? I'm trying to eat outside of my neighborhood, even though once you find yourself in the Northeast Heights the chances of stumbling upon a chain or a franchise increases exponentially. I took the niece, who is apparently a little Yelper in the making. As we entered the uber-sterile and cheerful confines of Menchies, she asked "do you think it will be as good as Olo? Or Love?" Ah, that's my girl. Let's go find out. I'm no frozen yogurt connoisseur, but this was pretty damn delicious. A large variety of flavors, cute little stacked lexan bins of toppings, plus plenty of sauces and fresh fruit options. I went with banana frozen yogurt topped with fresh raspberries and caramel sauce, and for this I commend myself. It was amazing. Little one concocted some unholy abomination of pink lemonade frozen yogurt topped with sprinkles, chocolate chips, mango boba, cheese cake bites, m & m's, you name it. She loved it, and she loved the store too, because they had stickers and 3-D puzzles for the kids with all their cute, branded characters like 'Sprinkle' and 'Chip' and Menchie him(her?)self. Even the spoons were brightly-colored plastic renditions of the cast of Menchie characters. She was 100% down with this. As we headed outside to enjoy our treats and the late summer New Mexican sky, the employee on duty invited us to "have a smiley day." This I could almost not abide by. But what the hell? If The Dude abides, so can I. And have a smiley day we did. read more

My usual frozen yogurt place recently closed, so I decided to check out Menchie's instead. They've got a great selection of toppings and flavors. The employees were friendly even though I came in around closing time. Overall good experience, I will be back. read more

Is it just me or is this Menchie's more expensive than most? At 55 cents an ounce, I had the plain tart yogurt, but for some reason the cake batter yogurt was offly off. No one was at the counter; in fact, the young lady kept leaving to the back, even as people kept coming in. I am a frozen yogurt fanatic. Let's say the experience this day was just tepid for froyo. read more

My son could make his own ice cream sundae! He loved the variety of toppings! We signed up for his birthday rewards!

Ah, Menchies! My favorite summer treat! You can come here and pick sugar free options and not blow your diet! It's always very clean in my experience and the staff go above and beyond to accommodate/please you. The owner has even said if my favorite topping (the yogurt raspberry crunchies) aren't out to simply ask and I can have 'em! My kiddo dropped her yogurt exiting with a lively crowd to sit outside and they said come back and get a new one free of charge :-) read more

Been to this store many times and its wonderful. My favorite was the Graham cracker with cheesecake. I could actually enjoy my yogurt while the kids played games. Staff was friendly read more

We first discovered Menchie's when a store opened near us in San Antonio, TX. They had excellent frozen yogurt there and it became our exclusive froyo source, three or four times a week. Now that we're back in New Mexico, we headed over to the Menchie's on Holly, near Paseo del Norte. We've been there twice and discovered that the quality of the froyo is not the same. My wife called it less creamy, I called it icier. We were both describing it as having more water content than what we were used to, even compared to other froyo stores we used to frequent (such as Orange Leaf and Yogurt Zone). The speed the froyo was dispensed was also surprisingly slow, which seems to be an indicator of something since it happened with all the flavors we tried. The selection of toppings is very good, though I miss some that the other store always had (Nilla wafers, Magic Shell). However, the quality of the yogurt is going to make us look elsewhere. It may also explain why we were practically by ourselves at each visit to this store. read more

I doubted Menchies, not only because I'm not that fond of healthy sweets, but because it was far away. How could I, someone who lives and breathes Nob Hill, love something so far away? My friend swore by it, and a group of us met him there to exchange a pair of handcuffs for a Halloween costume, or so I think... Anyways, I excitedly wobble up to the spouts that dispense this godly treat, because who doesn't wobble when dessert is involved? As I looked over and watched my gang dispense all these flavors, including tart flavors(which I made a face about and then later regretted my face), fruity flavors, chocolaty flavors, and toppings, I was kind of excited. I sat down with my spoon that has a little cone filled with a smiling turd on it I put that frozen yogurt in my face. I shoved it all in my face, and even started shoving other peoples frozen yogurt in my face, I wanted it all, and I needed it all. What probably appeared to be a scene from Spirited Away I became faceless, a monster, that would probably attempt to eat my friends if I had any inclination that they tasted as good as the frozen yogurt I was putting in my face. I have found myself looking for reasons to drive to the West Side just so I can "accidently" stop and get some frozen yogurt. I want to kiss and curse the day my friend was ever born, because without him I wouldn't have found this place. Yummy yummy yummy! read more

I wrote a review about the Menchie's in the Montano plaza however i was inclined to come here and review this location because I had such a poor experience with the staff. The young ladies working this night were so busy chatting with a few customers/friends who were simply sampling the yogurt that they could not be bothered with me. The young lady that checked me out asked me if I wanted my receipt to which I responded "No thank you" -- she wasn't paying me any attention and then turns to me and actually says (while waving my receipt), "Did you want this? I didn't hear what you said." I couldn't even respond....I think I just turned and walked away. This place was completely deserted when all the other businesses in the area were bumping with activity -- perhaps the word has gotten out?!? Even though this location is somewhat closer to us we will still drive a little out of the way to go to the other location because of the poor service here. read more

My favorite!! Great selection, fresh fruit, and the only place I know who carries plain tart flavor!

I agree with the other comments made about the two girls working there. I think menchies is amazing however every time I come in those two blond girls are always chatting away and behaving inappropriately. They don't care about the customer or their jobs. I think the company would do a lot better without them. I know I have quit going for that reason. read more
