This is the most racist store that I've ever encounter. They racially profiled their customers and treat everyone like criminals. Just recently, my cousin and I were visiting this store to purchase some items from which I needed some assistance with. When we first arrived in the aisle, there was a worker who said I'll be right with you. As we waited for several minutes, he abruptly just disappeared. At the time, I felt maybe he was caught up on doing something else. So we asked for help in another department and received the same negative treatment. And this is where it gets worse. After tirelessly waiting for some help, I began to thoroughly look at an item by opening the package to see if all of the contents were there prior to purchasing it. Then, out of nowhere we were confronted by a white guy who said he was security and a so called manager who said that we were attempting theft on an item. Wow, was I very surprise, and said, excuse me? I told them that we weren't getting any help from your ignoring minded employees whom by the way were all over the store helping everyone else. The security person said we looked like returning customers that were not allow in this store. So asked a simple question to the security person, what are you doing? Screening all nonwhite customers that walk into your store? Because, apparently our skin color and my gay appearance were too suspicious in this stores eyes. My cousin and I felt stunned and we told them that at no time we were attempting to steal anything. My father is a police officer and I have to utmost respect for the law, plus this was our very first time visiting this particular store. I only opened the box to observe the item and I had plenty of cash on hand to buy any item more than this racist employee's will make in a day. We were then asked to leave and never come back to this store. Also, we were apparently photograph or recorded on some type of store file or record too. To this day, we're still wondering if they took our pictures and unknowingly kept them for their own racist filing. We were both shocked by the treatment that we received that day. Being a Gay brown skinned Hispanic with my cousin who is half African American from south for that matter; was indeed the worst store experience that I ever had. I have documented this incident and sent a formal complaint to their corporate headquarter in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I've also sent letters to Senator Dick Durbin's, IL State attorney - Lisa Madigan, as well as our local state Rep. Offices to investigate this disgusting matter. I would like to know everything about their Standard operating security policies, their method of racially screening customers, and all records of incidents involving minorities for the past 10 yrs. I can't believe that a big business like Menards can have an implicit biased intent to still treat people like this. I've also started a social media campaign against this store and reached out to Father Pflager's church and other south suburban churches to begin protest during the up and coming holidays. My support on this matter is growing very strong and this is just the beginning of exposing this store's racially disgusting problem. This store screwed with the wrong people and our voices will defiantly be heard! Just by looking at other Yelp posts here, this doesn't appear to be the first time. Do yourself a big favor and go shop somewhere else like Home Depot or Lowes, or you may expect the same micro aggressive treatment from their bigoted security and employees. read more

I want to thank the outstanding team at the Menards store in Crestwood, Illinois. On June 30, 2024, I purchased a new Whirlpool 4.8 Washer. Unfortunately, the washer displayed red alert signals after just one use and stopped working. The next day, I contacted the Maytag/Whirlpool service line, where I was promptly scheduled for a service call. Simultaneously, I contacted Menards and spoke with Caleb, the appliance manager. Caleb's patience and thoroughness in walking me through Menards' appliance return policy were genuinely commendable. A few days later, the authorized service technician diagnosed the washer as defective. When I returned to Menards, Caleb once again provided friendly and genuine assistance, handling my concerns with remarkable efficiency and professionalism. The resolution of my washer issue took a few weeks, but throughout the entire process, the exceptional service I received from Caleb, Maria, Anthony, Alondra, and Matt made all the difference. Despite a prolonged resolution, their unwavering commitment to ensuring my satisfaction went above and beyond my expectations. Thanks to their commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction, I am now enjoying my new washer and remain a loyal Menards customer. This experience reaffirmed my trust in Menards as a retailer that genuinely values its customers. read more

I wanted to look for new appliances and furniture, which is the main reason why I went to this store. The store is clean, well-lit, and properly organized. It was not crowded, which was good because I got to really explore and see what the best of the store had to offer. The staff are also very nice, friendly, and helpful. The staff I saw even asked me if I needed help with anything, and I said I was looking for new appliances and furniture and I would like to take a look at it, and he showed me where it was. I took that opportunity to ask many things regarding the product, and he was able to answer them all. They also explained important information and the like about everything, which was really helpful and gave me the ideas that I needed on what to buy. The selections are really nice. Most of them are interesting. The quality is good and the prices are somehow fair and reasonable. I considered the suggestions of the staff and, of course, my taste when it comes to the things I wanted particularly. I was very happy with my purchase from this store, and it was all thanks to the friendly and very helpful staff of this wonderful store. read more

Most Menard stores, like McDonald''s are franchise stores, thus the corporate model attitude is hard to find.should you visit one of their franchise stores like that of Crestwood. Expect a minimum of assistance and you will not be disappointed. The store is clean and the staff at the entrance point will acknowledge your presence using what has become the first level security used by stores to let you know that they are watching. That represents no problem and is just good security business although from that point on there appears to be no interest in assisting the customer unless you happen to be in an area of that employee's responsibility. and you have the good fortune of finding the employee. Check out lines are well staffed, but return area leaves much to be desired since this store employees the concept of customers "fighting it out" to determine who is next. read more

Manager Matt should be terminated.. refused to price match an exact item with competitors add, was verbally assaulted by cashier when I asked for price match. Matt went out of his way to not honor a written policy and sooke to me in a way that causes sudden teeth loss in a civilized society. I spend average 20k per year at Menards and because of Matt those days are over. read more

I know that there are some bad reviews for this store but I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I am in there a lot since I live close and they have always been helpful and nice. read more

I've been going to the Crestwood Menards for years. Even back when they used to be by the Hollywood park. This location has always been a great place to shop! read more
