The service was attentive, and the overall vibe was wonderful. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy some good music, and spend quality time with my dad. Well, I hate doing two star reviews. This was definitely a night. I won't soon forget. When we…read morearrived, parking was horrible. The pay parking lot for Minglewood Hall was completely full. The pay lots all around minglewood hall were also full. We drove two blocks in each direction and was having trouble trying to find somewhere to park. We finally seen other people parking at a closed Baskin And Robbins, one street over. We didn't see any no parking signs. This was gonna be our only option. By the time we got parked and in line. It was getting very close to show time. There was a line out the door and it was moving very slow. They were having trouble scanning tickets. Their scanners were not working, so they were sending people to a window, to get paper tickets. We finally got in and seated. The show obviously started a little late. I have only been to Minglewood Hall one other time and my experience then was also less than stellar. The seating was just fold up chairs. They were so uncomfortable! A tallboy beer was $12! My son and I both love Brad Williams. I figured it would be a great to spend some time with him and see a good show. Although Brad Williams and his openers were great! This would turn out to be quite a bad night for us. When the show was over, we headed out to where we had parked. As we were getting close to the car, we seen about 20 other people. They were just standing aroung in the cold looking confused. At that point, we realized all the cars had been towed. In my opinion, this is why people don't come to Memphis for shows or anything. Way to much greed! The parking always sucks! Come to find out PB & J towing sits around the corner and waits on everyone to enter the show. Then they start towing people. If you do a quick search for them on here, you will see that they are very predatory in their practice. They have been sued and reprimanded by the BBB. I'm not sure how a place like this continues to do business in Memphis. That will be for another upcoming review. I know this is not completely Minglewood Hall's fault. But if you know, you don't have enough parking for the amount of sold tickets. You should try to work with your neighbors or warn people. I mean, come on, it was a Sunday night! The Baskin-Robbins was closed. We looked around and finally seen two very small signs on the other side of the lot that just said PB & J towing with a number. When you call the number, it just goes to a voicemail or disconnects. They are closed on Sundays! We had to Uber all the way back to Southaven, Mississippi. The Uber driver told us this is a every weekend thing. He picks people up all the time from PB&J towing in this area. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Minglewood Hall for anything. This ended up being a very expensive night!

When I approached the metal stairs I was a little skeptical about what I was getting myself into. I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside. The host was very funny and the show was pretty good. The final act with Chad Hays was definitely the funniest. The last interactive but is a must see. The food. Oh em gee. The burger was one of the best I have had in town. It was juicy and full of flavor. I can't wait for the next one. The fried pickles are in the top 3 I have ever eaten in my life. They were not overly salted like many are. The pickles were chips with the right amount of breading that were perfectly crispy. The tacos and tenders looked good as well. I can't wait to go back for other shows and the food for sure.

Their Mushroom Flatbread is among the best we have had anywhere in America. Also, their Lobster Roll was so good, it reminded me of a Cousins Maine Lobster (Shark Tank Fame) lobster roll. Their Zodiac drinks were interesting and tempting, but we opted for Paloma, California Cab, and French Chardonnay. The price/value of their cocktails and wines are commendable. BTW... This was Halloween night and Ben, our Server, was dressed as Remy from the movie Ratatouille. He was engaging, witty, and definitely added to our dining experience. The chicken shawarma was a little too thick of pita bread, it was hard to taste the actual chicken. The charcuterie board was my favorite, lots of yummy cheese varieties, fruits, and meat. The wine was good as well, not crazy about the Aquarius, Aries, Or Sagittarius drinks, all were too bitter. The ambiance has a cute idea, and the rooftop view is nice! It seems a bit run down though, pictures were crooked and some of the decor was dusty, tables were dirty. Would come back for the rooftop patio and a glass of wine but not the food. For the price, not my favorite.

Great live music, good vibes, drinks always flowing, and prices that won't break the bank. What more could you ask for? Now, let's talk about these cover charges! I visited last year and don't recall paying a cover. This time around, I stopped by on Wednesday with no cover charge, but when I returned Thursday and Friday, there was a fee to get in. Naturally, I asked about it and was told they charge a cover 365 days a year. Well, that clearly wasn't my experience, considering I had JUST been there Wednesday without paying one. LOL. I don't mind paying to support live music, but let's at least be consistent with the information we're giving customers. Nonetheless, I sucked it up, paid the cover, and enjoyed myself! The musicians were fantastic, the energy was on point, and the atmosphere was everything you'd expect from a true Memphis blues joint. Cover charge confusion aside, Blues Hall remains one of my favorite stops whenever I'm in Memphis. HIGHLY recommended, especially if you appreciate authentic blues and a good time. I'll definitely be back!

The service was great even though we were all struggling to understand each other over the music. That is not a negative, it's a comment on how great the music is! Outside of that though, we had an absolute blast here and I'd make this a regular stop any time I visit Memphis in the future.

The energy was incredible, and I loved seeing local talent represented. Atmosphere for all AGES! Since I don't eat meat, my options were basically potato salad and slaw, so I would love to see a few more meatless options at future events. My only real complaint was the HEAT! Whew! August in Memphis from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. is HOT. I would definitely suggest moving the hours earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening next year. Other than the heat, I loved every bit of it. Great music, great people, great atmosphere, plenty of food, and an awesome Memphis vibe. This was an amazing community event, and I would definitely attend again--just hopefully at a cooler time of day!
