This park has: - a gravel parking lot with portable toilet - paved trails - fenced-in playground - a small lake with fountain (I've seen people fish here) - large gazebo with outdoor grill available for reservations - doggy bags for your furkid - wooded trail area in back of the park All-in-all, an awesome place for families. It amazes me the sheer amount of people glued to their phones and then look around in panic when they can't find their children. Ffs, Watch your kids, it's a playground not a permanent babysitter. They also have 2 playgrounds, a mini golf course, picnic benches basketball/tennis courts for older kids, a walking/jogging/biking path, fishing (need tag), pond, geese... I've been to birthday parties here when I was younger; they have picnic tables you can reserve. *Abington residents only - they have a security guard at entrance that checks IDs, but I feel like that's usually busier times, like weekends.

If you want your small children to nap, then have them walk up the steps to the slides a dozen times. There is a nice variety of playground equipment for all ages including swings, a 3 person seesaw, spinning/ climbing thing, etc. All the equipment has a castle theme which is super cute. I love that the entire playground is fenced in with fences high enough that young kids definitely cannot get over. The fencing around the steps/ platforms for the slides is also super safe to prevent falls. I feel totally comfortable letting my kids walk up and slide down by themselves while I wait at the bottom. Bathrooms nearby are better than most playgrounds. The only downside is that there isn't a lot of shade. Some benches are shaded but none of the playground equipment is shaded so you feel like you're baking on a hot day. There are covered benches at the entrance of the playground for parents. But your kids will have so much fun that they'll barely notice how hot they are.

It is essentially pavement designed to look like roads with local shops sponsoring storefronts. There are no toys to make this a real town, but you can bring your scooter to ride the streets. There are also at least 2 playgrounds. There is a small one that looks like a castle and features a rock climbing wall near a parking lot. This is near tennis courts and a baseball field. If you walk on a path through a couple of parking lots, you will arrive at a space-themed playground. There are swings too. On my visit, they were holding a space camp in the pavilion and that was fun to watch. Definitely come here if you're in the area with kids!

This park has many wonderful memories of my youth. I adored going here. I had my first real kiss…read morehere and everything! I went recently on a run and decided to go through this park. It's really nice. They updated playing equipment, made the fields nicer and added bridges to get to the baseball/soccer fields. They have really kept this park up nicely. It was a nice trip down memory lane and I highly recommend it if you are in a park kind of mood!
