I had never been to Mel's automotive but they came highly recommended by a friend. My auxiliary battery warning light came on early Saturday afternoon and most garages were closed until Monday. Not wanting to wait to call my usual garage Monday, I was pleased to see that Mel's was still open and even open Sunday. I called and they made time for me to bring my car in same day. Had an oil change and headlights changed out on my foreign vehicle, was advised that the job would be completed without issue and the system defaults reset to reflect the changes. Staff unable to facilitate the service and passed the buck onto me with and I quote "its your responsibility." When asked why service would be performed if not able to perform it properly was escorted out the door and told to "F" off several times and not to come back. Horrible company and people. Got a brand new car they covered the first 4 oil changes. On final change they did not do a proper job causing an oil leak. They did correct their mess up but refused to clean the mess there bad work did.. Now i have pools of oil in engine bay and they instead of doing the proper thing clean up a mess that they caused they say i was freaking and scaring him then was told he will call the cops on me if i didn't leave.. STAY AWAY much better shops around the windsor area. read more
