Don't you hate it when your truck, carrying a camper, trailing your car, breaks down on a hot…read moresummer day a couple of miles outside of a tiny town in an area with just enough cell service to make a call - and to make that call almost useless because there's such poor reception? You should hope it happens to you where it happened to us. I was helping my friend Michelle move when her truck slowly died on a straightaway, and we stopped a couple of miles outside of town in just such a situation. We were barely out of traffic on a narrow shoulder, trucks and cars whizzing by. After a while, a local plumber stopped (kudos to Gerid Higgins), asking if we needed help. We explained the situation, and he let us use his cell phone (local carrier, better service) to speak with his friend Bobby Russ, one of the "& Sons". Bobby was at home. He'd spent the previous three nights of the week working until near or after midnight. But he still came out with his wrecker, which was not up to the job of hauling our whole rig. So he went and got his friend Galen, and Galen's truck. They attached a chain and dragged our sorry butts into town and into an RV park across the street from their shop where we could spend the night until the shop opened in the morning. The next morning **he came to us**, first thing after the shop opened, and did the work (fuel filter) in the RV park. He didn't have the fuel pump we needed (or the lift to raise the truck and camper), so he directed us on to Clovis, and let us use his landline to connect with a mechanic there, after assuring us that we would make it that far, which we did. His charge for the filter and labor was very reasonable. But the shocker, and the reason I had to write this review, was what he charged us to come out to us, go fetch his buddy, and haul us into town, when he should have been at home having dinner and a cold one: $10. Ten dollars . . . in case you thought I accidentally left off a zero. So if you are near Fort Sumner, and know you need an oil change soon, or new wiper blades, or anything done to your vehicle, big or small, please give Bobby Russ your business. He richly deserves it. But please try to do it during regular business hours: the man deserves a good night's sleep. Tell him John and Michelle sent you.

Thank you Lloyd Russ for your expert help and service. Managed to get to Lloyd's shop and waited for him to arrive that morning. He immediately started working on the wheel assembly taking it apart to confirm what needed to be done. I had a full utility trailer full of all my tools which he stored for me in his locked yard. I came back a few days later to get the fixed truck and went on my way. Lloyd is super friendly, knowledgeable and the price for his work is amazing. Not excited we broke down at 3am but really happy we got to Lloyd's shop for the repair.
