Melo Auto, we've been customers for about a year now and all I have to say is LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!! Chris has given his all to get our miserable 1990 VW Westfalia back up on its own four wheels and the battle of the bolts, bushings and bearings is over! It didn't take a year, but a month of sourcing parts and going in for a day or a half-day here and there. Julie and I think we're driving a new car! Every knock and crunch that emanated from under the van is gone and instead, we can carry on a conversation in our inside voices! This shop has truly outstanding customer service. I have been to many mechanics and dealerships for auto repairs and Chris and his team totally exceed all of them in terms of quality and value. I brought my 2005 Civic in for a timing belt/water pump replacement and he even took the time to explain to me the work they had done and the parts they replaced. They did a number of other services out of courtesy (including washing my car, wiping the dash, checking the tires), and all was done for a very competitive price. I have a rather lengthy commute and am very picky about where I take my car: Melo Auto really went out of their way to make me feel confident about their work. Just got a very very thorough estimate on an old Jetta with lots of issues. Extremely detailed, clear and open about the potential costs involved. Had to pay some money for the full diagnosis, but once I saw the quality of work and depth of knowledge, I was happy to pay. They were also good at trying to be cost effective where possible in the quote. In the end, I feel I can make a well-informed decision on what to do with the vehicle. Very professional and very good communication are key when you're trying to make a strategic decision and considering investing in significant repairs. Thanks Melo! Everyone always stresses about going to find a new auto shop... until you go see Chris and the boys at Melo! They are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Time is taken to explain exactly what needs to be done to your car and why and each and every car that comes through their bays, for any reason, gets a free car wash. I was calling around looking to get my all season tires swapped out. Every other place I called quoted 40 and tried to make it sound like replacing tires that were already on rims was so much more involved than a tire rotation. Really glad to have found this place; I randomly came in for an oil change and left with (what feels like) a whole new car. The atmosphere of the shop isn't intimidating like most and you never get the impression that they're trying to get your money and rush you out the door. Chris did a quick inspection of the key components of my car, showing me exactly what needed work or replacement and explaining the level of importance of each job. The prices are great, the work is quick and both he and Wojtek take pride in what they do. They also don't nitpick and charge extra for every last tuneup like almost all of the other shops I've been to. They'll even clean your car as part of the service. Highly recommended! read more

I would give six stars if I could. Absolutely amazing attitude and services. Very very nice staff. They respect their customers and the vehicles. I watched Chris and George putting together a motorcycle while I was waiting to park my car inside, they were so very thorough about it. They got my oil changed very quickly, and surprisingly these guys gave me a nicely done wash for free. I never knew it was possible to love a mechanic, but this is definitely the case with Chris at Melo Automotive! My husband came here to get one of our cars fixed, and not only was it fixed quickly and with a reasonable rate, but the car looked brand new, in the engine and on the outside of the car, when we got it back. I got a safety check for another car, and it was done quickly and everything was explained to me. And, he even fit in an oil change and and an air filter change as well! Talk about efficient! Best Garage I have ever been to. I had seen their shop in passing and went in for an oil change on my newly purchased 2009 Silverado. Chris and Voytek showed me around my vehicle and were very knowledgeable about the truck. They knew it had an upgraded suspension package, that I was never aware of and informed me of all its features. I agree with the last review, I didn't think it was possible to love a mechanic! Melo Auto did an amazing job resolving an issue that other mechanics were not able to diagnose. They had it fixed the next morning, and fully explained everything. The owner especially was great, as he seemed happy to help to resolve some other minor issues and really knows about Volkswagen.
