Professional service, staff who know what they're talking about, and a no-BS environment. To this last point, their diagnostic tools make it pretty straightforward for me to decide, of their recommendations, what I want to proceed with now vs later. Let me tell you a story - in Feb 2017, I drove over a nail while driving on the QEW and found myself on the side of the highway with a blown tire, sitting about an hour away from home. My first call was to AutoNiche, and they didn't disappoint - in fact, their reaction helped me get through the situation. Emily and her team quickly assessed the situation over the phone, and talked me through the steps to take to get back home safely. They even helped me arrange a rental car for the time that my car was being repaired - by the time I dropped off my car. All of this was pretty comforting - I knew I could call AutoNiche to get knowledgeable perspective when I was shaken up, and they helped me through the situation. Best part during the process, they always focused on me - they never talked about themselves. They're pretty awesome, and full transparency here - I'm still a customer and I completely trust them to help me with my car needs. When I bought a new car in mid-2017, the first and only place I asked for an opinion was AutoNiche. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an experience (regarding car repair, maintenance or next purchase) that consistently exceeds expectations.

The following spring, with only 10k km on these rotors/pads, I started to notice brake performance decline with it not really biting and needing to apply a lot more pedal pressure to stop properly. Brought it back for Ivan to inspect. He said rotors had a lot of rust, however, they were all suppose to be coated which greatly increases the time for rust to form. So, for rust form so quickly and so severe to affect performance in just 8 months and with only 10K Km since install....that just doesn't add up and Ivan wasn't able or willing to offer anything (possible defective warranty etc) other than to resurface them for an extra $100-200. That really didn't make any difference. So, I ended up going back to my regular guru who replaced all the pads with Power Stop shortly after. Fixed it and it was 100% better. Not sure if the issue was with the parts, the installer or a bit of both. Things just didn't make much sense to me and Ivan wasn't really taking any initiative or making any effort help me other than charging extra to hopefully remedy my issues. Lesson learned...Will keep to my guru from now on.

I wanted to drive a car as far as I can remember. My parents have a picture of me at the age of around 3 sitting on my father's lap grabbing the steering wheel of our Mustang and looking quite serious as if I was focusing on passing someone on the track and ready to give the finger. Instead of roller coasters as a kid, I loved the cars you could actually steer, albeit limited to a track at Centerville. I loved the bumper cars and later on go-karts. It was about freedom and control. It wasn't as much about the machine to me, as I wasn't a gear head. I didn't care as much about the performance of my car, or what the rims looked liked, or how I could lower my car. I will admit, I did have a short phase of that, and did have a sports car, but predominately it was the fact it expanded my world. Even at a young age, back when 12 year olds could run around the neighbourhood without having a tracking device on them, I would explore. I would wander the downtown core of Toronto until it got dark and had to go home for dinner. Because of my years of exploring, I know the downtown core like the back of my hand. There is no street I don't know east of Bathurst, west of Broadview from the waterfront to Bloor. I would walk and walk and walk. My world expanded when I finally bought my own bike. For the next several years, I'd hop on my bike and just ride. I went on every trail the city had to offer and my expeditions became greater. It would bring me to the eastern edges of Scarborough, the western front of Etobicoke and northern regions of Thornhill. When I got sick of those trails, I'd make even bigger treks, and a few times even multi-day trips out to St. Catherines and even Lake Simcoe. It wasn't about the cycling it self, but as a kid who was predominately confined to a 2 km square diameter of the downtown core. 50 km away might as well be Egypt. When I finally got sick of riding the TTC to York University from downtown, and figured that each school year, I would have spent 1 full week of my life riding the subway. I got a car. A crappy little tiny car from a buddy of mine in which my insurance cost more than the car itself. This gave me access to an even bigger world. I was finally able to make friends from Markham and Mississauga and Richmond Hill, and Woodbridge and Scarborough. I would drive and drive and drive. I drove to Montreal. I drove to Ottawa. I drove to Buffalo. I drove to Boston. I drove to Manhattan. And since then I've been looking for a reliable mechanic. Luckily for me I haven't had too many issues with my cars, but I'd go where ever I could find a deal. But after all these years I've never found someone I felt comfortable with. I want that same relationship with my mechanic like with my Doctor. I want someone I can trust. Someone I could respect. I've been reading about 360 auto and this guy named Chi for years now. He's essentially synonymous with a good honest mechanic and Honda vehicles if you just google "honda mechanic Toronto". I finally went in to see him and was extremely happy with the service. Turns out he and his crew all originate from the downtown core like me. He didn't seem to want to hustle like every other mechanic I've ever been to. The price was fantastic. I've needed a rear brake job, and got a quote of $600 from the dealership. Then got a quote of $350 from Master Mechanics whom I had previously been going to, however they're just not open on the weekends. And finally $250 from Chi. Provided everything holds up like it should, and every indicators from other web forums it should, they blow everyone else out of the water. Jacques Cousteau would be proud. Now I can go back to my explorations...

Trust me, Tactful Auto Service Centre is your place to get all of that, and more, taken care of! My family and I have been coming here to get our cars fixed, oil and filter changed, and winter tires switched for about a decade. The place is currently run by Jason Ng, who is an awesome auto technician. He is always extremely courteous, kind, and respective. Fluent in Cantonese and English, I love that he communicates to my parents in Cantonese and speaks English to me; this makes me feel comfortable for not having to stress with trying to convey myself in Cantonese. From all of our years coming here, me and my family experienced no issue. The COST to get our cars serviced is EXTREMELY reasonable, so if you are looking for a break from the crazy rates at your car dealership, I highly recommend giving this place a shot. PLUS, the waiting area is quite cozy, with comfortable seats, a tv screen, drinks, and... CUP NOODLES! That's right, they offer CUP NOODLES, the legit Chinese ones that actually tastes delicious! But if sitting around and waiting for your car to get fixed is not your thing. Markville Mall is literally a 5-minute walk away, so you could hang out there and get your shopping done. I actually live close enough that I just took a leisurely jog to get home. When your car is ready, they will call you to pick it up! I love that they accept e-transfer, but if that's not your preferred method of payment, they also take cash and debit. Tactful Auto Service Centre truly lives up to its name! Come here and experience their tactful service, you won't regret it! :)

If I hadn't spoken up or questioned what occurred on June 2, 2026, I would have paid hundreds or thousands of dollars for no reason. About a week before I went in, I called to book an appointment as I was hoping to have my seasonal tires swapped, and maybe get a diagnostic, oil change, break pads replaced and muffler looked at. When I asked for the estimate of the tires, I was told I had to bring in the car for a proper quote which I thought was odd. Guy I spoke to also thought it was a good idea to throw in a sexist comment, guess he assumed I knew nothing about cars. Not sure if that assumption gave him the impression I could be swindled in person but considering I drove over 40 mins to get the car checked out by this place I, at the very least, hoped this shop wasn't like the rest. My mistake for giving them a chance. When I brought the car in, at no point was I provided with a clear estimate or breakdown of the labour/service associated with the diagnostic, oil check, or tire swap before work began. However, they did give me a handwritten breakdown of the partial costs of the "repairs" and maintenance the car needed, but for the actual services I was hoping to complete today (tires/diagnostic/estimate) - that was conveniently left out (see picture). They also claimed the muffler had a leak, whether that's true is debatable considering they lied about the oil needing to be replaced which I'm confused about since I just needed it checked not changed. The oil had been manually changed not that long ago, and well after the date of service noted on the windshield sticker, but I guess this place thought they could pull a fast one on me claiming the oil was due for a change? If that was the case why not get my authorization prior to actually changing the oil, why not show me what the oil looked like prior to working on it? FYI I know how to check the dipstick so aside from this place lying about the oil change, then taking it upon themselves to begin that work without my say so including the tires, this shop may want to do a bit of googling to understand what a scam means from a legal perspective (i.e. fraud). The guy claimed they have been around for 30 years and wasn't trying to scam me, as if a business existing for more than a decade means they're above board. Being around for 30 years just means you survived a few recessions - so congrats. More importantly since the car belongs to my partner, I made it clear I needed to check with him prior to making any decisions. I stepped away a few times to get my partner's input and each time I returned to the front desk I discovered that work had begun and another charge was added to the bill. News to me considering it wasn't authorized. So you can imagine my shock and disbelief when the bill kept increasing, a bill that wasn't discussed prior. When I brought up these issues with the guy at the front, same guy I spoke to over the phone, he laughed it off, tried to downplay what happened and kept saying it was a miscommunication. I don't understand how there could have been repeated misunderstandings when I specifically stated numerous times that I needed to check with my partner and that we were holding off on repairs and maintenance. I guess I could have screamed no, but I'm sure that would have been ignored. Then he tried to turn it around on me, and claimed I booked the appointment to get the tires swapped. No sir, appointment was booked because I was told to bring in the car to get a proper estimate. How am I so sure of this? Because I record all my phone calls with service providers, knowing full well that many businesses cannot be trusted to operate with transparency and will gaslight clients. I'm sure this is a common tactic mechanics use to lure in customers before presenting them with an inflated bill, and if I didn't know my consumer rights and the regulatory requirements that govern businesses, I may have ended up paying double or triple by the time I left the shop.
