Had the front/rear rotors & pads done on my 2009 Odyssey back in July 2022 for approx $700. Ivan…read moresaid he used Akebono coated parts which are suppose to be a premium product that I've used in my other vehicle with excellent results. The following spring, with only 10k km on these rotors/pads, I started to notice brake performance decline with it not really biting and needing to apply a lot more pedal pressure to stop properly. Brought it back for Ivan to inspect. He said rotors had a lot of rust, however, they were all suppose to be coated which greatly increases the time for rust to form. So, for rust form so quickly and so severe to affect performance in just 8 months and with only 10K Km since install....that just doesn't add up and Ivan wasn't able or willing to offer anything (possible defective warranty etc) other than to resurface them for an extra $100-200. That really didn't make any difference. So, I ended up going back to my regular guru who replaced all the pads with Power Stop shortly after. Fixed it and it was 100% better. Not sure if the issue was with the parts, the installer or a bit of both. Things just didn't make much sense to me and Ivan wasn't really taking any initiative or making any effort help me other than charging extra to hopefully remedy my issues. Lesson learned...Will keep to my guru from now on.

Always quality service. Most importantly honest service. Never suggests unnecessary repairs. if…read moreyou ask for something and you don't need it, they will tell you, you don't need it and not take advantage. Very trustworthy. Mechanics are properly licensed...as such they are dirt cheap, but less than dealers. It is not possible to have qualified staff and be cheap. One review commented on price of oil change is same as Mr. Lube- which really means it is cheap - Mr. Lube employs non mechanics and students. Mr Lube will pressure you to replace fluids that don't need replacing and air/cabin filters that are 60% more than other places. And if you say no every time, they get upset and won't do their 30 point check in the future - but they will check the box like they did do it. The coupon just gets you in to upsell you. A couple times they told me I needed to change fluids - took to Mkm Auto to verify - no fluids needed changing. My dad has gone here asking for a tune up, only to be told he just needed minor tweaking at a fraction of the cost. Mechanics don't make commission like dealers, so there is no incentive to make unnecessary recommendations. Several times Markham Honda said I needed new brakes. I took it to Mkm Auto for a 2nd opinion and they said nothing is wrong with them.

I'm not a car enthusiast, but I can't imagine living without my car. It is like an extension of…read moreme. It allows me to be Jacques Cousteau, on land. I wanted to drive a car as far as I can remember. My parents have a picture of me at the age of around 3 sitting on my father's lap grabbing the steering wheel of our Mustang and looking quite serious as if I was focusing on passing someone on the track and ready to give the finger. Instead of roller coasters as a kid, I loved the cars you could actually steer, albeit limited to a track at Centerville. I loved the bumper cars and later on go-karts. It was about freedom and control. It wasn't as much about the machine to me, as I wasn't a gear head. I didn't care as much about the performance of my car, or what the rims looked liked, or how I could lower my car. I will admit, I did have a short phase of that, and did have a sports car, but predominately it was the fact it expanded my world. Even at a young age, back when 12 year olds could run around the neighbourhood without having a tracking device on them, I would explore. I would wander the downtown core of Toronto until it got dark and had to go home for dinner. Because of my years of exploring, I know the downtown core like the back of my hand. There is no street I don't know east of Bathurst, west of Broadview from the waterfront to Bloor. I would walk and walk and walk. My world expanded when I finally bought my own bike. For the next several years, I'd hop on my bike and just ride. I went on every trail the city had to offer and my expeditions became greater. It would bring me to the eastern edges of Scarborough, the western front of Etobicoke and northern regions of Thornhill. When I got sick of those trails, I'd make even bigger treks, and a few times even multi-day trips out to St. Catherines and even Lake Simcoe. It wasn't about the cycling it self, but as a kid who was predominately confined to a 2 km square diameter of the downtown core. 50 km away might as well be Egypt. When I finally got sick of riding the TTC to York University from downtown, and figured that each school year, I would have spent 1 full week of my life riding the subway. I got a car. A crappy little tiny car from a buddy of mine in which my insurance cost more than the car itself. This gave me access to an even bigger world. I was finally able to make friends from Markham and Mississauga and Richmond Hill, and Woodbridge and Scarborough. I would drive and drive and drive. I drove to Montreal. I drove to Ottawa. I drove to Buffalo. I drove to Boston. I drove to Manhattan. And since then I've been looking for a reliable mechanic. Luckily for me I haven't had too many issues with my cars, but I'd go where ever I could find a deal. But after all these years I've never found someone I felt comfortable with. I want that same relationship with my mechanic like with my Doctor. I want someone I can trust. Someone I could respect. I've been reading about 360 auto and this guy named Chi for years now. He's essentially synonymous with a good honest mechanic and Honda vehicles if you just google "honda mechanic Toronto". I finally went in to see him and was extremely happy with the service. Turns out he and his crew all originate from the downtown core like me. He didn't seem to want to hustle like every other mechanic I've ever been to. The price was fantastic. I've needed a rear brake job, and got a quote of $600 from the dealership. Then got a quote of $350 from Master Mechanics whom I had previously been going to, however they're just not open on the weekends. And finally $250 from Chi. Provided everything holds up like it should, and every indicators from other web forums it should, they blow everyone else out of the water. Jacques Cousteau would be proud. Now I can go back to my explorations...

The main repairs were done by the end of the day at less than half the cost quoted by the Subaru dealer. He's a lovely person, very clear communicator, and has all our auto repair business for the future!

Trust me, Tactful Auto Service Centre is your place to get all of that, and more, taken care of! My family and I have been coming here to get our cars fixed, oil and filter changed, and winter tires switched for about a decade. The place is currently run by Jason Ng, who is an awesome auto technician. He is always extremely courteous, kind, and respective. Fluent in Cantonese and English, I love that he communicates to my parents in Cantonese and speaks English to me; this makes me feel comfortable for not having to stress with trying to convey myself in Cantonese. From all of our years coming here, me and my family experienced no issue. The COST to get our cars serviced is EXTREMELY reasonable, so if you are looking for a break from the crazy rates at your car dealership, I highly recommend giving this place a shot. PLUS, the waiting area is quite cozy, with comfortable seats, a tv screen, drinks, and... CUP NOODLES! That's right, they offer CUP NOODLES, the legit Chinese ones that actually tastes delicious! But if sitting around and waiting for your car to get fixed is not your thing. Markville Mall is literally a 5-minute walk away, so you could hang out there and get your shopping done. I actually live close enough that I just took a leisurely jog to get home. When your car is ready, they will call you to pick it up! I love that they accept e-transfer, but if that's not your preferred method of payment, they also take cash and debit. Tactful Auto Service Centre truly lives up to its name! Come here and experience their tactful service, you won't regret it! :)
