Approximately 27 MONTHS LATER, I was advised that the same exhaust component needed to be replaced AGAIN. In my opinion, that is an unacceptable lifespan for a repair of this nature and raises serious questions about the quality of the part supplied, the installation, or the original repair. I retained the invoice and photographs and subsequently examined the components on the vehicle. Rather than reassuring me, what I found left me with MORE questions about exactly what was installed in 2024 and why I was facing the same repair again barely two years later. This is what concerns me most: customers generally cannot crawl underneath their vehicles and verify expensive repairs themselves. We PAY professional mechanics because we TRUST them to install the parts we paid for and perform the work competently. After this experience, that trust is gone. I brought my concerns directly to Frank, the Service Manager (Habib the owner refused to speak with me). Frank refused to answer any of my questions and did not provide an explanation. My advice to other motorists is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. KEEP YOUR INVOICES. PHOTOGRAPH THE PARTS. ASK TO SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED. GET A SECOND OPINION. My family has been going to Hide Auto Centre since I can remember. His specialty is Japanese cars (honda and toyota), but Hide Auto Centre also fixes european and american cars. Hide is an extremely nice man and very trusting. He never "overcharges" for ghost fees or tries to upsell you to do fix something random with your car. One thing that I really appreciate is that he always goes over the entire bill with you. He also will explain to you exactly what happened with the car--sometimes bringing you the broken piece--so you know what he's fixing. When you first walk into his small store-front, keep in mind that his waiting area is not a nice frily waiting area of an overpriced dealership repair shop, filled with a cappucino maker and an endless supply of day-old donuts. Remeber that you're paying to have your car fixed, not to be entertained while you wait. The waiting area is small, with only a few chairs. There's coffee available and a small tv to entertain yourself. It's probably a good idea to bring a book to read if you're going to wait.

They refuse to refund me my close to $300 because they want to test the part. Im sorry but I live over 7 hours away from this location and I have to pay for the shopping back to them plus have them test it without my money back even though I have proof from a mechanic it is the part bought from them that is defective and that same person is just speaking about how they have never had a defective part before and they need to see it to believe it. I shipped the part back to them received confirmation it arrived there and this same person is now stating that they never got it and I have to deal with the shipping company and they can not provide me my money back. This has been ongoing since August.
