The following spring, with only 10k km on these rotors/pads, I started to notice brake performance decline with it not really biting and needing to apply a lot more pedal pressure to stop properly. Brought it back for Ivan to inspect. He said rotors had a lot of rust, however, they were all suppose to be coated which greatly increases the time for rust to form. So, for rust form so quickly and so severe to affect performance in just 8 months and with only 10K Km since install....that just doesn't add up and Ivan wasn't able or willing to offer anything (possible defective warranty etc) other than to resurface them for an extra $100-200. That really didn't make any difference. So, I ended up going back to my regular guru who replaced all the pads with Power Stop shortly after. Fixed it and it was 100% better. Not sure if the issue was with the parts, the installer or a bit of both. Things just didn't make much sense to me and Ivan wasn't really taking any initiative or making any effort help me other than charging extra to hopefully remedy my issues. Lesson learned...Will keep to my guru from now on.

Approximately 27 MONTHS LATER, I was advised that the same exhaust component needed to be replaced AGAIN. In my opinion, that is an unacceptable lifespan for a repair of this nature and raises serious questions about the quality of the part supplied, the installation, or the original repair. I retained the invoice and photographs and subsequently examined the components on the vehicle. Rather than reassuring me, what I found left me with MORE questions about exactly what was installed in 2024 and why I was facing the same repair again barely two years later. This is what concerns me most: customers generally cannot crawl underneath their vehicles and verify expensive repairs themselves. We PAY professional mechanics because we TRUST them to install the parts we paid for and perform the work competently. After this experience, that trust is gone. I brought my concerns directly to Frank, the Service Manager (Habib the owner refused to speak with me). Frank refused to answer any of my questions and did not provide an explanation. My advice to other motorists is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. KEEP YOUR INVOICES. PHOTOGRAPH THE PARTS. ASK TO SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED. GET A SECOND OPINION. They're a great shop to drop in, get things done on time, and then be on your way. Most importantly for a mechanic they explain things well, no nasty surprises, and the pricing is very fair and transparent. They're always happy to help in a pinch, they give honest good advice, and it's frankly a pleasure to have an honest mechanic. Hard thing to come by! Came here for a brake service and replacement of my power steering line and pump…read more Car came back running rough, spewing a lot of black smoke and could not reliably reach highway speeds. After two visits back at LP Europe Motorsport to try to correct the issue, they told me the problem was most likely not a result of their work. Frustrated, I took the car to another mechanic who put it on the hoist and found the issue within 10 minutes. When LP Europe Motorsport was replacing the power steering pump they damaged the turbo outlet hose which resulted in incorrect boost when the engine was calling for it. This caused the poor performance I was experiencing. In addition, the replacement of my parking brake cable resulted in lots of scratches and damage to the interior of my car. Missing plastic pieces of trim, cracked center console and plastic around the shifter that was visibly damaged. When I showed Luis this damage, he just looked at me and shrugged. I'll never go back to LP Europe Motorsport and I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism and quality of work. They simply do not care about your vehicle or your safety. I would recommend that anyone planning to take their vehicle here to seriously reconsider. Edit: Vehicle is a 2003 VW Golf TDI.
