I explained that the technician must arrive prepared to assess and treat in ONE appointment. I specified that he must move appliances, stuff gaps with steel wool, get under radiator covers and plug holes with foam-- no more but no less than that. Pest pro was the third place I called and the only place that was willing to meet my requirements of coming prepared to plug up and treat. The other two places said they needed to do an assessment which in my experience can mean just forcing you to pay and stay home all day twice instead of once. The person who showed up was new to the job but came prepared as requested and did a great job. They plugged behind my stove, placed traps behind my fridge, plugged under several radiators, and left glue traps out. In the end a wooden trap that I placed caught the mouse and I haven't seen another since. I'm pretty certain that the kitchen mice were coming in behind the stove which pest pro mouse-proofed well. It was $325 in the end but it only took one appointment and the problem is totally solved so I would use them again, though I don't think I'll have to because they really sealed up the place and recommended some follow ups which I can do myself for larger holes that they couldn't handle wit steel wool and foam.

Let's cut straight to the story, shall we? I had a rodent problem due to the negligence of a tenant living a real life episode of hoarders with disgusting and filthy conditions (prompting the landlord to immediately process an eviction). Upon explaining to Eddie in great detail of the situation, I gave him the number to make an appointment direct with the tenant. Not ONCE but TWICE the tenant stood him up on both appointments travelling from the Bronx. At this stage, most exterminators would be truly annoyed traveling to the destination to perform a job only to get cancelled/stood up from the tenant/customer, wasting their valuable time and losing revenue! Eddie didn't charge me any appointment cancellation fee. He was patient and understood my very difficult and frustrating situation. Eddie assured me when the eviction is complete, he will come and perform his duties once I have full control of the apartment. Once the city marshall gave possession of the apartment, he came and performed the job the following week. Eddie reassured me that he will come again to inspect the entire property to make sure the situation was fully resolved, giving additional assurance and peace of mind. Frank collaborated with me as a homeowner, worked within my budget, looked at the photos and video evidence, considered my safety needs, and got it done. Frank from Captain Pest Control followed up as well. Very nice, very knowledgeable about pests as well as homes and architecture, and he's very professional. He didn't try to sell some "maintenance" package. When you do it right, there's nothing to maintain. Now if only "Pest Control" included lawyers, insurers, and HOAs I'd be set.

I requested treatment for fleas. I tried to take care off it the first time by myself treating my…read moredog with capstar and frontline, using flea spray on all furniture, washing all bedding, towels, clothes on hot and drying in hot which shrank some clothing. I replaced my living room rug and steam cleaned my couch. I felt I defeated them. I gave my dog her second dose of frontline exactly 30 days after the first. A few days later we were at the vet's office for something unrelated and I noticed black flecks that looked like pepper. It was flea dirt which is the same as poop. When I went back to my house I started the whole washing drying vaccuming routine again but I seized to call an exterminator-Orkin. I was told to clear unnecessary things out of the way and that he would spray all floors and in the yard. The technician came he spoke very little English. He wasn't interested in treating the ground floor of my brownstone because we mostly use it for storage but we are down there sometimes and it connects to the other floors that we use. He started spraying the corners and baseboards with a can that looked similar to the one I used that I bought on Amazon. Then he sprayed directly on the pillows which I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to do. I completely got rid of one that was already falling apart and washed the others even tho he told me all I needed was to wipe them down using a napkin. I asked to see the can and it was the equivalent to what I bought on Amazon but made by a different manufacturer. I looked up the name and there it was for sale on Amazon. After seeing him spray directly on the pillows, I curtailed any further spraying to rugs, baseboards, corners etc. Every time I made a comment or asked a question he said "Ma'am, this isn't my first time." Condescension-great. I couldn't wait to get him out of my house. He concluded by telling the fumes are toxic and I should leave the house only 1 hour because he barely sprayed What did I just pay for?? Spraying with something I could have bought on Amazon? He never sprayed outside which I was promised. In short, he did the same thing i did. I called Orkin and they offered my a full refund so that's why I gave it two stars Instead of one

In keeping up with the times, they have added an additional treatment along with Aprehend to make the extermination even more effective.
