I got the membership option which is $118 for an 80 minute massage per month. This is $30 less than if you were just to book one. They don't allow credits to be rolled over though which is the one thing about their membership that I wish they would change. I like that the tables are heated. My masseuse did a great job. The facility is clean They don't have a receptionist . You just take a seat and text them to let them know that you arrived . Parking in this area can be a little hard but it is walking distance for me so I didn't have that issue read more

The areas that were worked on felt really good and he did a great job releasing tension where he focused. However, I was expecting a full-body massage and felt a bit incomplete since several areas were skipped. I came across Mellow Massage while visiting San Diego. Booking online was easy. I was able to schedule a deep tissue massage for the same day. I went into the Downtown location and enjoyed their modern, minimalist design with polished concrete floors. It reminded me of an art gallery. My massage room was similarly designed, but warm and comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean. My masseur, Omar, greeted me warmly, asked what areas of concern I had, and then proceeded to provide me with one of the best massages I've ever had. Great pressure during the massage. Omar was very detailed working on my body. He knows his anatomy and I was aware of him addressing my problem areas as well as all the major muscle groups, even targeting the deeper layers in turn. His choice use of trigger point therapy provided immediate release of tension from key muscles that we use all the time, like the forearm muscles and my biceps. After the massage, I had a deep sense of calm but also energized. If I lived in San Diego, I would sign up for their membership. I will definitely book another session with them the next time I am in town! Note: Parking was tricky for me, especially with one-way streets (possibly because I don't know the area). After a very frustrating conversation he keeps asking me if I put my credit card into in to book. No. And it didn't ask for it. On July 13, 2024, I corresponded with Kelly via email (info@mellow-massage.com), and on behalf of Mellow Massage, she confirmed that my membership had been canceled and that a refund had been processed. She also mentioned that the receipts for the refund had been sent to me. While I did receive refunds for the charges on June 4, 2024, and July 24, 2024, I have recently discovered that I continued to be charged $109 each month from August 2024 through January 2025, totaling $654, despite the previous confirmation that my membership was canceled. As these charges were made in error, I want the total amount of $654 to be credited back to my American Express card. I have made several recent attempts to contact Mellow Massage both by phone and email to resolve this matter directly, but unfortunately, I have received no responses. The individual I spoke with on the phone, who had an accent, was unable to assist me further. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your resolution. I didn't want to complain but after thinking about it I decided to let everyone know This massage business is terrible the entire massage was not peaceful The front area where people come in and out echos and your other workers( I assume they all work there ) and their guests are very loud So I was constantly hearing peoples loud voices speaking at full capacity I'm pregnant so I was really excited to just enjoy a peaceful relaxing massage and it really wasn't Also at the end some man walked into the massage and interrupted and the masseuse had to tell them she's using the room I was really upset about the environment and the other workers or other people coming in for their masssagws having no courtesy to keep their voices down The room I was in was right next to the front so maybe it was worse bcuz of that but I do feel like the front needs to do a better job at whispering and keeping low voices and pushing clients to do the same Also maybe some spa music in the front would help It felt like a regular office in there vs a relaxing spa area read more

This place is not professional and poorly managed! I booked a 12:30pm appointment at 11:52am because I thought I would treat myself to a last second massage. I get to the downtown SD location at 12:20pm and the doors are locked. I called customer service 3 times over the course of 40 mins. They inform me that they have notified the front desk (I can see through the window .... No one is at the front desk). Finally at 1:04pm they informed me that they can reschedule me at 6:30pm ( I am still locked out). I declined the reschedule because I have plans at 6:30pm and asked for a full refund. I have been told that I self-enrolled that the membership was purchased by me, and that the terms included the monthly charge agreed at the time of sign-up, so they cannot refund me. I have no recollection of any of these. I don't even like getting a massage but I buy them as a birthday present for my bf. I never receive a text or email from them that I'm being charged. The only reason I found out about it is when I'm trying to figure out why my credit card is not going down especially when I'm paying more each month. This is ridiculous. I've been having professional massages for nearly 30 years and I've had some pretty great masseurs. Today's massage with Joshua was amongst the very best I've had. I carry alot of stress from working long hours on a PC and from working out 3-4 hours a week. I booked the 80 minutes massage after my boyfriend recommended Joshua after he had 2 amazing massages with him. I was really impressed as he found my severe spots in my shoulders and back in minutes and then found additional tough spots in my neck. He worked the areas really well, digging in and really releasing the knots. I am so blown away at how good I feel. The additional movement I have now in my neck and back, not to mention that I'm no longer in constant pain in my shoulders. I've been almost giddy at how good I feel. I have been going to mellow massage for about three months now and couldn't be happier. I was on the verge of tears with shoulder pain from carrying around my two year old (and also scar tissue from an old spinal fusion surgery). My appointment with Jason was relaxing, but Jason has deep knowledge of muscles and ligaments that made it feel like a physical therapy appointment. He was able to diagnose exactly where my pain came from and try techniques to address that pain directly. I've never had a masseuse explain what he was doing before. I felt like a new person after the first visit and have been going ever since. The space feels expensive l, but the prices are reasonable. And again, Jason is amazing.
