A really nice playground. The park is also beautifully landscaped. It seems to perpetually be in bloom from early spring through the fall. Voila, Highland Park saved the day. The thing that attracted me most was the playground that featured plenty of shade as well as playscapes that worked for various ages including babies with a soft floor. I also want to highlight that this park features hiking trails and a great view overlooking downtown Pittsburgh. It's tucked into a historic neighborhood so the drive to the park was also pleasant. If I lived in the area, I could see myself frequenting this park. Overall a wonderful experience and we will definitely visit the next time we are in Pittsburgh!

I keep coming back and exploring different paths, only to realize there's always more to discover. It's one of those places where you can return again and again and still find something new, which makes it feel really special to me. The way the trails connect is one of my favorite things. Nine Mile Run flows into Deer Creek, which then connects into Tranquil Trail, creating an easy, continuous experience through the park. And thats just one corner of the park. While bathrooms are not abundant, you will occasionally find a porta potty, and there is often trash cans and benches toward the entrances and parking lots of the trail as well. Overall it's just a wonderful place to spend a sunny afternoon, and I really hope spaces like this continue to be preserved as an important part of Pittsburgh's identity and history.

We visited on a weekday morning and we're happy that it was not crowded and we could take our time. Beware the cafe which offers very friendly service for very expensive refreshments. We spent $15 for three 12-ounce cans of tea. If you have a refillable water bottle, bring that and throw some ice in it. Even when it's cool outside, it's still hot in the greenhouses so you'll probably want something cold to drink.

My only wish is that they had incorporated the Alice in Wonderland theme throughout more of the conservatory because I would have loved to see even more of it. But overall, it was such a beautiful and relaxing place to explore. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in Pittsburgh! l And you definitely have to hit the gift shop

There was a fun bridge, a fun building with a mini bridge with nests and an island that creates a sort of loop on the lake. I tried to call ahead of time (as I realized I would be late while driving) and nobody answered the phone number listed for the studio. Fine, I thought, I would just be a bit late and miss part of the class. I arrived at 9:40 and tried to open the door to the studio, but it was locked. Oh well -- I decided I'd stick around and talk to them in person afterwards to see if I could be honored coming to a different class in the future. After waiting an hour, I talked to the studio. I was told they got rid of their phone because nobody would answer it. They also did not explain their door locking policy (if I had known about it, I would not have bothered coming). Lastly, I was told they could not honor putting me in a different class because I had booked through class pass, but if I had a membership through the studio itself, they would be able to do that for me. This didn't make any sense to me. Finally, they told me I should purchase a membership, as if this whole experience would have inspired me to do such a thing. Since there are plenty of other studios in Pittsburgh, I'll save my money and go elsewhere.
