Instead of answering my question, the staff repeatedly tried to sell me a six-session package. I asked the same question multiple times, but they kept avoiding it and continued pushing the package. I had already booked an appointment for the next day. However, they canceled my appointment today, claiming there was a "communication issue." When I called to understand why, they refused to discuss it and simply hung up on me. I found the customer service to be unprofessional and disrespectful. If a business chooses to cancel a confirmed appointment, the least they can do is explain the reason politely instead of refusing to communicate. Unfortunately, this experience left me with no confidence in their service.

The receptionist was very friendly and helped me to schedule all of my appointments on the same date so I'm not coming to Laser Away a million times like I work here lol (not sure why they were scattered out to begin with) She also informed me of the update where we can be in the sun before/ after laser. I was concerned how was I going to be outside this summer with 8 treatments remaining. Glad it won't be an issue now. The woman who did my laser (I wish I would have gotten her name) was very informative and made me feel comfortable. This was my second session so I'm still pretty new. I added on a new service, my upper lip (because why be hairless everywhere else and still have a mustache?!) and the woman walked me through what it would feel like and even did a test on my neck before we began- I appreciated that. She was thorough and took her time making sure to get every spot. I already booked my next appointment and I can't wait to come back! I've seen amazing results after the first session so I can't wait to see if any hair grows back now.

She then yelled at me when I suggested I should receive some sort of compensation for the severe inconvenience, told me I was out of luck because I already paid for the service and then hung up on me. Every single laseraway employee I've ever met has told me they are looking for a new job and hate working there and clearly it's managers like yona driving away good employees and customers. I'm shocked she still has a job with customer service/managerial "skills" like I saw tonight, but hopefully she enjoyed getting off early tonight on June 23 2026. Avoid and take your business elsewhere unless you want your appt cancelled without notice 5 minutes before so the manager can tell you she doesn't care because you already paid for the appt, hang up on you and then leave early.

I've had laser on most of my body and now I only need to go every couple of months for maintenance since some areas do grow back due to hormones. They use Cynosure laser and this has been very effictive for my skin. Getting laser was the best investment since I really don't ever have to worry about shaving anymore. Your website clearly states the estimated length of each laser treatment (for example, full legs - 20 minutes, stomach line - 15 minutes), so I had certain expectations regarding the quality and thoroughness of the service. I arrived early for my appointment and was the only client in the waiting room. After waiting about five minutes, the technician brought me in on time. From the start, there was very little communication. She only asked the standard questions about retinol use, antibiotics, and similar medical information, but she never explained the treatment process or what to expect during the session. What concerned me most was the treatment itself. The technician did not mark or properly assess the treatment areas, and it felt like she was simply guessing rather than being precise. She didn't pause to check that every area had been treated evenly. When I asked her to lower the air pressure because I was uncomfortable, my request was ignored. This location is not the same since the previous technicians left. The level of professionalism and attention to detail has noticeably declined. There was no welcoming atmosphere, no effort to make me feel comfortable, and no sense of structure. What was especially frustrating is that there wasn't a single other client waiting, yet the technician still rushed through my appointment. The session was completed much faster than expected, and I honestly do not believe all of the treatment areas were covered properly. Laser hair removal should be performed carefully and methodically. The technician should be checking that every section is treated evenly rather than rushing through the appointment. As a paying customer, I expect a thorough treatment that matches the standards your company advertises. I left feeling like my appointment was rushed and that I did not receive the quality of care I paid for. My entire family sees Dr. Melissa Chan for medical care for years. She is attentive and knowledgeable. Her office always has the gadgets to screen and diagnose diseases, like Flu, Strep, COVID-19, blood work. Her new office location at 139 Centre Street, PH 104 is even more convenient for one-stop-shop. She always thrive for a holistic approach to symptoms rather than just giving out prescriptions. She is a no-nonsense doctor but at the same time respect patient's wishes. She is quick and fast with what needs to be done and have requests ready quite promptly. When my kids get older she will be there adult internist. Plus, she does cosmetic procedures! A big plus for internist with a degree! read more

Let me break down my few years of experience as thoroughly as I possibly can. Waiting area - Incredibly clean, comfortable and spacious, allowing patients to feel safe waiting for their appointment with enough space between them that you don't feel like you're on top of one another. They have a little fan, usb outlets to charge phones, water dispenser, and candies for little kiddies that may accompany their parents (or for adults with a sweet tooth :p). It's what an ideal waiting room should look like! Receptionist - a mixture of American born Chinese receptionists that speak mandarin, English, and Cantonese (possibly more dialects but I'm unsure). They are friendly and kind, welcoming patients as best as they can. No complaints whatsoever! Ophthalmologist assistants - quick, kind, and thorough with their examinations. They are friendly and welcoming as well, for you can see them all put their best efforts in assisting Dr. Lisa Law as much as they can! Dr. Lisa Law - a very sweet, thorough, friendly, kind, warm, and professional Ophthamologist who tries her very best to provide a comprehensive examination and diagnosis to help improve your quality of life. She is often running on overdrive and because she cares so much for each of her patients, she may appear a bit anxious and talk at a quick pace, but that's only because she wants to use as much of her valuable time on you as possible! She has an aura that really helps alleviate any anxiety that her patients often come into her office with; maybe she's encapsulating the anxiety so her patients doesn't have to :p I definitely would not choose any other Ophthamologist than Dr. Lisa Law and I hope you will at least give her a chance (: I'm sure you'll love her attitude, personality, and care as much as her many patients do! I was injected by a Miss Carissa in the Chinatown location, but she also works in the Brooklyn location. No fillers can be expensive and they can be scary and you have to make sure you don't just do anything with just anyone, but yet I trusted her ... after the first two syringes. I came back two weeks later to finish it off, but I was highly disappointed, cause it seemed as though the use of the filler should have been strategically placed sparingly and conservatively in the target areas but they were not ...I kept saying that I don't want to look like an average Beauty standard Kim Kardashian and I also said I don't want to look younger. I just showed her pictures of my natural self And pointed to the places that needed to be supported !!! the first time she suggested a lip flip and a lift in the corners of my mouth, and possibly in the sides of my cheek, where they're hollowed. This is my first complaint after wasting the syringes on places that I never intended to do and I'm highly offended when people don't listen to the things that I want or I'm willing to pay for ...After the end of the second visit I called up the manager Winnie I said that I believe that the injector must have some type of learning disability either she's forgetful or she has a learning disability because every time I would consult with her at length maybe we would talk for 20 minutes before she would inject me. I would point to the areas around my lip And I would close my eyes and let her inject because I don't like needles. Also I was very numb, so it's not until you arrive at your house and you realize that there's filler in places you did not ask for and the places that you asked for were not done and you don't have any more money to buy any more syringes that would make somebody out reached When Winnie told me that this would be corrected by Carissa. I had to wait almost 2 months because Carissa kept dodging my appointment finally Winnie brought me down to Chinatown for the last appointment with her the third and the sixth syringe. They gave me $100 discount for my troubles even though it took me $100 cab ride to get to Brooklyn And I begged Winnie to do it herself since she promised that she would compensate for the deficiencies that I had again I'm not the most beautiful person in the world, but it's very simple to inject the places that I marked with a little white pen and that the injector agreed so either she's a liar or she's just really forgetful so after this third and final visit in Brooklyn with Carissa, she marked my face, promised me she'd do it and again I got numb and closed my eyes. There is still empty spaces where where Filler should be in my top the most obvious of the places that I would want it when I said Support around my lip With the two syringes well I asked for my money back in full, and I told the company that I would report them to the board of Health or whoever is in charge of this Medical company that they run the person in charge Michael would not return my calls, but they just insisted on telling me this times that I am Swollen And I guarantee you that I'm not there is Filler in certain spots of my face around my lip, and then some not I wanted to ask Carissa why did you selectively choose to jump over my Cupid bow and go to the other part of my lip without continuing to go all across my lip I wanted to ask her that, but I am really convinced that she has some kind of Learning disability and I really don't think that anything would be solved by going back to that aesthetician or even working with their management, but I guarantee you I will try my best to pursue getting my money back cause I spent a lot of money down the drain so disappointed. Not to mention that Carissa never took accountability for anything every time she injected me and it was over. She never once said oh you look good or even said goodbye. She just walked out of the room and she kept telling me. "Oh no it's just your face" for any mistakes she had made Not to mention these people. Make sure that you pay upfront in a separate room before any procedure is finished why do you think it would be so shady and so fearful of people not being satisfied and not paying the whole place is shady all around zero stars!!

Bringing in my grandma for her leg procedure was relatively easy because the facility was able to schedule my grandma car service to come pick us up. When I arrived, I was greeted by those working in the front desk. They were super helpful and friendly. They quickly checked us in. Prior to grandma's procedure, I received a call with all the information needed. Facility is super clean and well equipped. When Dr. Zhang was reading my grandma's report, he was kind, and thoughtful. He is super knowledgeable in the field. He is easy to talk to and easy to understand.
