Jose, the foreman, was exceptionally communicative, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. His pricing was very reasonable, especially for the amount of work that needed to be done. His crew worked extremely hard and tackled a massive amount of overgrowth--shrubs, trees, bushes, and years of neglected landscaping that had taken over the yard when we bought our home. The results are truly stunning. Our yard looks completely transformed, and the difference is unbelievable. Jose made the entire process smooth, transparent, and stress-free, and I genuinely appreciated how attentive he was at every step. The contractor came out, marked up my lawn, sprayed grass killer, and began preparing the area. Shortly afterward, another contractor happened to stop by and offered a quote. Out of fairness, I wanted to validate pricing not to haggle, just to understand. Instead of having a professional conversation, RC Landscaping took offense and walked off the job entirely. What's worse is that he had already sprayed my yard, leaving me with dead, unsightly grass and no plan to repair or finish the work. Now I'm left scrambling to fix damage I didn't ask for just because I wanted to make an informed decision. The photo attached shows the current state of my lawn. It's clear, marked, and dead. This wasn't how I expected the relationship to end. If you're considering RC Landscaping, beware: if you seek clarity on price, they might just leave you mid-project. RESPONSE : I initially contacted RC Landscaping to help design flower beds for my front yard. We discussed expectations, and he even came out to mark the yard and spray it to prep for install. While I hadn't delivered the materials yet, I was planning to, and we had a start date set. Things changed when I asked a simple question about pricing. Another contractor had stopped by with a lower estimate, and I wanted to understand the difference--especially since only one bed was multi-layered and the rest were basic. I wasn't trying to cancel the job; just asking for clarity. Instead of a conversation, the contractor called off the job entirely, citing a lack of trust. I was left with patches of dead grass and no work done. I also asked to keep the drawing for reference (since I now have to start over), but was told no. The owner claims I was difficult or indecisive--but I have screenshots that show I was respectful and collaborative throughout. I never changed the job scope drastically--I asked thoughtful questions as part of normal planning. In the end, I can't recommend this business based on how the situation was handled. Fast forward to now and we're back using their services to build a massive back patio, side walkway, excavate and level for a retaining wall for which they also poured the concrete footer for (we are building the wall ourselves). A pretty big job to say the least. Our experience this time around was just as excellent if not even better than 2 yrs ago. Omar and his dad, James and the rest of the crew made quick work of the entire project. Their skills are remarkable and they all are absolute artisans in their field. We LOVE our new patio! It amazes me their "yes we can" attitude throughout the whole project. Anything we asked - without hesitation, it was "yes we can do that however you want it we'll make it happen." I was reluctant to ask about the grading/excavating as other companies shot me down on that aspect pretty quick. Not Omar and James - it was an immediate "Yes we can do that" and it was added it to the quote in hours. Pricing? Once again they beat out two other companies.... BY A LOT. I gotta say it was also great to see many familiar faces among their large work crew from two years prior - I feel like it's rare to see that these days - a sign of a great company.
