Every time I go to the dressing room to ty things on there's usually no one there. But eventually they arrive and almost always it's this one girl who just puts her hand out and says nothing just smiles. I'm like..uh ok here? Grabs the clothes and puts them in the room for me. Because of the pandemic, I thought I would have a very difficult time doing an exchange at the store. I was greeted by a very friendly staff upon entry and was so refreshing to deal with Neisha. Neisha was the most pleasant person and say easy going. In most cases, returning or exchange and any other store is not always dealt in a positive manner. Not the case at Journeys. I will be going back for my next purchase, they have a great selection of merchandise but mostly because of my experience. Neisha deserves a raise.

The staff can be helpful, if you need a size in particular style, the staff will find it for you!! They have a cool selection of outdoor gear like jackets and backpacks, and tools, like pocket knives and compasses. There is usually something at the checkout that they are trying to up sell you with, like a travel mug or umbrellas. If you are a regular customer, their point system card is helpful. Once you gather enough points, they issue you a coupon, like $10.00 of your next purchase. The one thing that stands out from other companies is that if your shirt rips after only a couple months of wear, they will exchange it for another. Pretty cool!

St. Laurent and Place d'Orleans are interchangeable for #3 and #4). The Bay (as most Canadians call it) at Bayshore and Rideau both have Opticals - the other Ottawa locations do not. If you wear glasses, don't overlook the Optical at The Bay, they have a good selection of frames. The one at Bayshore carries Milano 6769 Eyewear. Made in Italy (as the name suggests) and really funky styles. Their prices are really reasonable as well. The staff are friendly too. For fashions, The Bay at Bayshore is good. It's a smaller location than Rideau, but larger than St. Laurent or Place d'Orleans. The selection of formal and party dresses is much less than at Rideau. For purses they do carry a small selection of "Contemporary Brands" like Coach, but I haven't seen Kate Spade or Marc Jacobs, like at Rideau (St. Laurent and Place d'Orleans carry none of these brands). They have a very limited toy section, but their shoe department is a good size. The one thing that The Bay Bayshore has over The Bay Rideau is free parking, although the parking lot is a nightmare (which is the fault of Bayshore Mall management/owners for hiring the person/people who designed the parking lot and not the fault of The Bay - see my review of the Bayshore Shopping Centre for more details on my disdain for the parking lot, lol). Do not recommend the KK hair products, mad expensive. $50 for hair serum!?!?!? He attemped to push my mom, who could NOT get it, and pushed more eventually gave up and gave dirty looks. She recommended to try the small slim fit but lean more towards small tailored fit. Small tailored fit was exactly what he needed and got really good advice from Andrea. I am not one that likes to get much help from a sales rep but there was something about Andrea. She is very knowledgeable, you can tell. I enjoyed her advice and knowledgeable critic! She wasn't pushy to sell but wanting to help because she knew her products. Thank you for a perfect experience. We will for sure go back to that location again thanks to Andrea Corey.

It's a pretty large layout with mens, womans and children clothing in their own departments. Selection was A-OK, and they had some pretty good deals. The clothing is mostly sophisticated, business casual, with a European flare. I was most looking forward to their jewels and accessories and found it to be a tad limited, although, I did find two interesting pieces for my collection. Change rooms are large, although I hate how they use curtains instead of doors. I can never seem to close those properly. (They also had a shelf dedicated to the skincare line I'm from, however they were out of stock of everything from that line.) The store is cute and aesthetic, and has the typical cute plushies and little accessories that most Korean stores tend to have in stock. They also have a variety of korean makeup products. However, something to note is that their prices are slightly more expensive than the average Korean product (like by a dollar or so, when compared to online retailers, but not a big deal at all). Something to note- currently, they have a "no refunds" policy. Only exchanges are permitted for "unopened beauty and electronics within 14 days after purchase with original receipt." The store is located across from the Sephora store in Bayshore Mall, which is perfect so you can grab all your beauty and skincare needs all at once! All in all, definitely a store you should check out!
