I have never been treated so poorly as I was in H&M bayshore. Holly, who says she is a manager, was so condescending and rude to me from the get go. She seems to have a system going, that when you call her on her attitude, she immediately exclaims that" I don't like the way you're speaking to me". Well Holly, if thats your real name. I didn't like the way you spoke with me. When I let her know the reason for returning t-shirts was, she immediately had attitude like I was supposed to know how they were going to fit my son. I simply wanted to let her know that the sales person who sold them to me said that the t shirts i picked up ( although had slightly different tags) would fit my son the same . Some had h& m name and other had h& m plus another name. All I wanted was to let her know that it wasn't so. So possibly she may let that salesperson know. After all are we not suppose to give reason for return. Next , she said that I couldn't return a mens bathing suit. It would have been fine if she would have at least acknowledge when I explained that when I bought them, the same guy who served me said would not be a problem to return with tags on. My husband and I purchased the items for our son's bday. Instead she said and I quote ' How do I know that even happened'. She also said " its common knowledge " that you can't return bathing suits. Well , I just bought 4 bathing suits for my husband at another store before March break and I was able to bring home and have him try on and I returned the 2 that were not suitable. So when the clerk told me it would be fine... I believed him. What bothered me is that I also said could we see who the clerk was that served me ( based on the receipt) and ask him. Like i mentioned earlier, she wouldn't acknowledge and only said that how did she know that he said that. When I asked her to please return the shirts now and I guess i nudged the bag toward her. She then said " Do not be aggressive and push your bag toward me again and said that I would not be able to do the transaction that day." I then asked to let someone else serve me and she refused to let me do transaction. My son and I couldn't believe what was happening. The best was that because she kept saying " I don't like the way your talking I me" She kept drawing more attention from shoppers. Whenever she said that, I would just respond that she was the one who was rude at the start. I have to admit, she now was ticking me off. I did ask her if she was having a bad day and/or on something. I can not believe how a simple return escaladed so quickly to something so ugly. Holly, I'm a mom who doesn't lie about what a sales person told me. Perhaps that is something you can't understand. I will be taking this up with upper management. Now, according to Holly , I am BANNED from H& M while she escorted me out. YIPPEE. Never in my life , even as a teen was I ever escorted or kicked out of somewhere.
I would like to add that we have shopped often and like the store very much, however, this experience with this particular sales person/ manager was terrible. And to the people of H&M ,, I suspect this is not the first time this has happened in your store with this woman. I 'm sure sales associates would be honest about how she treats customers if they knew there opinions would be confidential. I still don't believe that she would be hired as a manager, but according to her she was the manager and no one else could help me. read more
