Some things we like about working with Sam: The lessons and homework is highly customized based on our student's current skills and goals. Sam provides feedback following each tutoring session regarding how she is doing and where her challenges are. In the session he provides her with skills and strategies to work through those challenges. He is well versed on many subjects (not just SAT!) and encourages my daughter to bring any school questions to him, too. Payment and booking is all very easy, as is rescheduling when needed. Sam always provides his availability and if the times don't work with us he is willing to discuss further so we can find a time to make it work. Overall we are very happy to be working with Sam and I would highly recommend him as a tutor for SAT or other subjects.

Our son attended both his 11th and 12th grade at Futures Academy Pasadena Campus. He was struggling both from an educational and social perspective at his public school. Over the course of the two years in which he attended Futures Academy, he completed his course work, drastically improved his GPA, made friends, and is truly a changed young man. The small class size and 1:1 attention he received from teachers and counselors made all the difference. I am proud to share that he was accepted to 5 out of 5 universities to which he applied, and selected the University of San Francisco; which also has smaller class sizes and student to teacher ratios. We credit our son's success to the guidance he received at Futures Academy, for which we will be forever grateful.

I can't praise Nena enough for all she did to help my so get into college. She started by getting…read moreto know him and delved into where he wanted his life to go. Then they discussed colleges that would be a good fit for him and what he wanted to achieve. This was just the start. I honestly had no idea how extensive the process was to apply to some of the Universities out there. Nena knew not only what to do but what they colleges were looking for. She help my son explore his life experiences and challenges to come up with a highly personal and self reflective essay. She made him write it, but gave him constant feed back. When I read the final version my eyes welled up just from the depth and the struggle it conveyed. It actually allowed me to see a side of my son I never knew about. Thanks to Nena my son was accepted into Cal, UCLA, UCSB, Cal Poly SLO, and UCSD. He was offered a scholarship from the UC system. He also used the same essay with some slight changes for another scholarship giving him an extra $5,000 a year for college. The investment I made in Nena's help paid off 40 fold just in the money he received from scholarships, let alone having his choice of too tier schools to attend. I can say for certainty that he would not have been accepted at both UCLA and Cal without Nena. She has my deepest gratitude.

As you can imagine I had so many questions .When I called, I asked to speak to someone that would be able to tell me about the program. I was then connected to Ann Perry. I bombarded her with so many questions. She was extremely nice and patient with me. Never made me feel as if I was asking too many questions. She is so amazing. Not only did she answer my questions, but she also offer to email me more information. By the end of the call, we set up an appointment for an assessment. My daughter suffered a TBI 2 years ago. So a lot has changed for us and a lot is also new to us. Ann truly made me feel so comfortable. After setting up the appointment, I then found out who I had been speaking to. Ann is the Director of Lindamood -Bell. That just made it even more special. As a Director, you tend to be busy and she took the time to explain everything so thoroughly. On the date of our appointment as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by every, and I mean every single employee that walked by us. Everyone was so nice. Some even called my daughter by her name. After the assessment, I met again with Ann. She again reassured me to feel free to stop her at any given time and ask her as many questions as needed. She was thorough, patient and very informative. I recommend this place to everyone.Even to typical kiddos. It allows the parents to know where their kid is academically. I am truly so thankful to Ann. She is so informative and comforting.
