I was apprehensive because I've heard so many horror stories about movers from the big name companies. Yet, I could not have asked for a first time better experience with this local business. Throughout the entire process, We Like to Move It was professional, transparent about pricing, scheduling availability, etc.. Madi was consistently communicative and quick to respond thoughtfully. Dominique and Dayquan amazed me with how quickly they were able to gather everything and put it in my POD-- finishing earlier than the 2 hours I had initially scheduled! That's where the moment of supporting small businesses became truly apparent. When I asked if they could take my cat's completely destroyed cat tree to the dumpster given that they had finished early, they didn't hesitate to do so at all, no questions asked, and completed it in under 10 minutes. I had been dreading this task because it would have taken me several hours minimum to complete due to chronic pain. While it was just another day at work for Dominque and Dayquan, between the POD packing and trashing the cat tree, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders that had been stressing me out for weeks. Virtually everything they moved was scratched or gouged because they put our furniture in a storage unit and it was not stacked properly nor protected. They put a heavy metal toolbox on top of our dining room table. Our bedroom set was tipped on edge directly on concrete. The mattresses were shoved on top of everything and our 55" TV was tossed on top of that. Nearly everything was just shoved into a location where it would fit without regard to proper storage and handling practices. The owner agreed to repay to cover for the damages but has yet to send any money. Now they won't even return calls. Looks like legal intervention is past due.

However, things went sideways when the bank declined the cash app payment on Sunday around 12:30-1pm. The bank's fraud department even called regarding the payment. Travis raised the price 4 different times, from the original $640-$1030, threatened to file with the court on Tuesday morning, and called me a scammer! After a phone call to my bank the next morning the payment was sent through and arrived by 12:30-1pm on Monday the day after the move. Be aware this service only accepts cash app or PayPal payments and pray that your bank doesn't decline it as possible fraud as the owner has quite the temper and very little patience.
