They were the first to respond to my initial quote request on yelp, with very clear and professional yet friendly quotes and scheduling, and when I had to reschedule by a day they were very supportive (even responding after hours too). I believe their names were CJ and Tanner, and the owner was Dwayne, and they were so careful, but fast, and our move was organized and completely problem free! They moved a bunch of very heavy wood furniture without a dolly, like it was nothing! No nicks in the walls or damage to any of my items, and I've had those issues with other movers in the past, but absolutely no issues with Bishop Elite Services! And their attention to detail was excellent. They packed fragile things (furniture with glass, mirrors, etc) very well using moving blankets and industrial sized plastic wrap, which I had never seen done, but it was very effective and I wasn't worried about the antique furniture from my grandparents getting damaged, I knew my heirlooms were safe with them. They also made sure all of the boxes went to the right rooms and their labels were all facing out. I've had movers completely ignore the labels and put things in wrong rooms with all the labels facing the wall, so I was extra happy the carefully labeled boxes ended up in the right rooms with labels visible. They also rearranged the furniture when we changed our minds about where things should go without blinking an eye. Plus the guys were all very nice, it was lovely to just chat with them during the whole process. They also do snow removal, hauling and other odd jobs, so you should give them a call! I know I'll be calling them for snow removal this winter! TL;DR: You should hire these guys!

I asked the man kindly to move his truck to the other side of the road or to park in front of the house he was working for and he told me he would "in a few" I then explained that I had to go to work soon and would not be able to leave if he put the truck back where it was. He told me " just come grab me." I told him I did not feel it was my responsibility to come get him to move the truck when he was not parked on the right side to begin with. He said he could park where he wanted and continued back into my neighbors house. I ended up having to call the police to get him to move the truck at all and he only moved it because he knew he was wrong. He also had no cones out warning cars of the truck, until I called. He still parked in front of my drive way but left my anointing neighbors driveway open just enough for me to fit. The point is I shouldn't have even had to call them in the first place I asked him multiple times to please move his truck before I called the police and asked the neighbors to request they move it as well. I had to call and text him at 1:28 pm to ask him where he was. Once Chris arrived, he approached me as if he was ready to get started, without ever acknowledging that he was missing one person. When I questioned him, he acted dumbfounded, and said that the other mover had had a "family emergency." You mean to tell me you show up a half hour late without first immediately contacting me to let me know that the arrangement I PAID IN ADVANCE FOR has changed? And then you expect me to proceed as if this is normal? Well, that's exactly what Chris did. I asked Chris how he could show up a half hour late without first attempting to find a replacement. He had no answer. I asked him if he could find one, and again he looked dumbfounded, and said he would try. He went back to his car and sat in there for the next fifteen minutes, purportedly trying to fix the situation. In that time, the facility I was moving to had contacted a local mover for me who agreed to come move me by 3 pm. Chris's unprofessional shenanigans caused me totally unnecessary stress, delayed my move by over two hours, and as a result forced me to have to finish up my move in the evening after dark (which unfortunately led me to sustain a physical injury). I was beyond astounded and appalled at how nonchalantly this young man did this to me, and several days before a major holiday when it would likely be hard for me to find a replacement. Chris apparently expected me to wear out my back assisting him with a move (which would have taken four hours instead of two), something I steadfastly refused to do. I have never encountered a more unnecessary, unprofessional, and manipulative set of circumstances from a business in my life. I would never recommend this business to anyone, and rather, would strongly caution any person considering working with them to avoid it.

Prior to moving, I reached out to Chris to confirm the day and estimated time of arrival. Chris was responsive, flexible, and more than willing to make accommodations given the distance of my move. For instance, he was able to offer evening availability (after 5pm), although I imagine that was not ideal for him and the other movers. When I arrived at my destination, Chris and Frank met me promptly and they had my belongings unloaded within an hour. They were careful with my furniture and Chris was very attentive to the labels on my boxes to ensure that they were put in the right place. He even had food recommendations and other helpful tips about the area. Overall, I was so pleased with my experience and I would highly recommend Chris and Illini Movers for any of your moving needs. When I started the business was changing hands and their site wasn't working which seems to be amended now, however, the unit I rented was unavailable- which resulted in me having to switch to another unit. I have informed them multiple times of the stuff being in a different unit which has been recorded per the quality assurance notification "Your message may be recorded for quality purposes"-. During their inspections/maintenance, my lock was cut, my stuff has been touched and is now missing. These belongings were trusted to be here while I was dealing with medical emergencies for about two months. My entire apartment being put away within. Regarding the fact I have informed them of the unit switch, these people chose to neglect to listen to the entire calls, accuse us of lying, and drag their feet to find my belongings. During this time, we have been told multiple things that do not corroborate- like their cameras are working, they work "sometimes", or they don't work at all. They outsource their maintenance team and I have not received an update in two weeks just to ask maintenance to come by and look through a few units. Even in passing they said they'll just throw your stuff in a dumpster, straight from the manager's mouth. With full earnesty, it is in everyone's best interest to stay far away from this business. They are not local- instead remotely managed. I believe their cameras are dummies- fakes for security. They cut locks without keeping note, and change their stories to serve their needs. Just to get someone to unlock a few units to try and find my belongings which are memorabilia, furniture and other such has been a nightmare. It shouldn't take more than 72 hours for someone to review footage, calls, and send someone to open a few units to locate personal belongings, but now it's nearing two weeks. Even if they change the cameras today to real, I wouldn't trust them. We've had a few people call them only to get different answers per individual. There's no consistency. I'm sure this'll change now that I'm airing their dirty laundry. I would assume there's no real protection. Don't bother calling them to ask about the cameras, they'll say whatever gets them a sale. If you are doing business, move your stuff out to someone's basement or a more reputable business. I am still waiting for my things to be found, for my answers. I will update my reviews as follows, but I hope this review serves as caution. The police are already aware of this situation. If you want to be certain your urns, your family's last gifts to you, your wedding certificiates, etc are all safe, take them somewhere else. Stay far away from this business and protect your items. If the actual owner of the business reaches out to me to resolve this situation, I'll be happy to share everything I know so they can amend this. If my belongings are found without damage or anything missing, I will honor their just dues and update my review, but my point until then stands. In the mean time, I am just an autistic woman mourning my furniture, my gifts from dead relatives, memorbilia of those who are no longer with me, my books, my dvds, my wedding certifications, my tools. Everything I have built up from my life is in Narnia at this point. I am heartbroken and confused.

Amazing! So grateful for All Things Moving and their movers Brian and Chris! After a last minute change to my moving date and another moving company not being able to accommodate the new date, I was extremely worried and stressed about how I was going to move all my furniture. I lived in a 3rd floor apartment with very heavy furniture and knew I couldn't move everything on my own. I contacted All Things Moving and George contacted me within the hour. He let me know they were available and all I needed to do was rent the U-Haul. Originally planned for an afternoon move, however U-Haul changed my reservation to 6:45pm. Since many movers don't like to work past 5pm, I was worried they wouldn't be able to help. Well, I contacted George letting him know about the change in reservation for the U-Haul and he let me know the movers would be there! Moving day arrives and Brian and Chris came to my apartment at 6:45pm on the dot! They were quick, efficient and handled all my things as if it were their own. I am so appreciative of them working through dinner and being flexible with my schedule. These guys are amazing, professional, friendly, reliable, and you can't beat their very reasonable pricing! My experience was strongly positive. Use the Yelp "ask for a quote" system to contact them; they respond quickly to that method of contact. Phone works less well. I had a small job of moving heavier items from one university office to another. Also, the job had to be done almost immediately. The owner was able to schedule a time the next day, and the people who did the move worked efficiently. I will definitely contact them first for my next job. Price was less an issue for me than getting the job done quickly. We arranged everything by e-mail (via Yelp). Highest recommendation. read more

My movers canceled two days before our move because the crew had covid. Desperate, I went on Yelp and found All things moving. George gave me a quote and his team was fast, professional, and courteous. They arrived on time and they politely ignored the "helpful" suggestions of friends that were with us. Not one thing was broken or damaged in any way. The bill they gave us was not marked up or inflated from the quote the owner gave us. I have moved more than 20 times and this move was by far the most professional and the easiest. I will never move with any other company. read more

We contacted George at All Things Moving after reading online reviews and were not disappointed. George was very quick to respond and replied right away with all of our questions and concerns. Brendan and Jeff were very quick, professional, and careful with our belongings. They did everything we requested and then some. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. I'm moving by myself to Michigan and Brian and Chris were nothing short of incredible. Despite U-Haul changing my reservation, these guys were very flexible and kept an open line of communication in the days/hours leading up to my appointment. All of my items were handled with care and packed tightly in my truck to maximize space. They were friendly and courteous the entire time, which made my big move much less stressful. They showed up on time (there was a small address issue, but that had everything to do with the subdivision and not the company), and they were really efficient. Both guys who came were really friendly. We were only moving a handful of things, but all big items, to two different locations and they were great about suggesting how to set it up to do it best. I called them to move most of my stuff from a basement bedroom to a room on the main floor. I thought it would take about 3 hours. But these guys were SUPRFAST! They didn't bang any furniture against the walls or scratch up the floors, and they put everything right where I asked them to. They finished in less than 2 hours! These guys were very communicative when it came to moving time. There was 8-10 inches of snow and they still helped move my stuff into a UHaul. The price was great also for the amount of stuff I had. Quotes and Set-up: I messaged the manager of M4L on yelp and he responded within an hour and was on…read morethe phone with my husband that night. On the phone they discussed the big pieces of furniture in our apartment, the floor our apartment was located on and the type of housing we were moving into. That is when the manager gave my husband a quote for $90/hr for two guys and a large truck. We appreciated how timely the response was, the ease of getting a quote, and the manners the manager had while working with us. We booked them quickly because that was the best deal we had been given. Pre-moving day: They called 4-5 days before our moving date to confirm our appointment and asked if we had any questions. We appreciate this courtesy. Moving Day: Our movers showed up 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time, however, we honestly weren't too concerned. Part of the reason we booked this company was because they begin their money-clock as soon as they arrive. Being tight on money, we decided to start bringing boxes down to where the truck would be loaded two hours prior to the truck showing up. This would take leg work away from the movers so they didn't have to do the stairs 8 million more times. The two men that were with us had very quiet demeanor's. They both were polite and worked along side my husband and I and our two friends well. Half way through the moving process the movers were getting to some of our bigger, heavier furniture. One mover had asked both my husband and I individually what our quote was. A person helping to clean my apartment heard the two movers talking while the rest of us were taking a lap down the stairs that they were upset that we were under quoted. They said that this should have been a three man job. Honestly, in hindsight, I don't blame them in the slightest - it probably was a three man job. Although, they made that slight slip when they probably thought they were alone, they maintained face and worked through the move. They wrapped our stuff up nicely and made the job look easier than I know it was. Moving in to our new place went by very quickly. The men took direction well and worked through any kinks that always come with moving furniture. Damage: We did have one piece of furniture that fell apart. They were quick to point it out to us. They took pictures of the damage. Thanks to their insurance and our agreement they will be sending someone out to see if they can repair it (it might actually be repairable, I think!) or they will be replacing it. Again, we don't place any harsh fault of this on anyone - this stuff happens! We just appreciate it being taken care of! Rating: I have given this company 4/5 stars because I feel like the office needs to find a different way to quote their customers. Reading these other yelp reviews it seems like that is a reoccurring issue. My movers would have received 5/5 but I will vouch for them in this instance that they were probably jipped.

Prior to moving, I reached out to Chris to confirm the day and estimated time of arrival. Chris was responsive, flexible, and more than willing to make accommodations given the distance of my move. For instance, he was able to offer evening availability (after 5pm), although I imagine that was not ideal for him and the other movers. When I arrived at my destination, Chris and Frank met me promptly and they had my belongings unloaded within an hour. They were careful with my furniture and Chris was very attentive to the labels on my boxes to ensure that they were put in the right place. He even had food recommendations and other helpful tips about the area. Overall, I was so pleased with my experience and I would highly recommend Chris and Illini Movers for any of your moving needs. At the 11th hour, the HOA where we were moving decided we couldn't park our trailer at our new house to offload... the house was 3 states away. My neighbors hired them to move their things, I came home to their truck parked, completely…read moreblocking me and my other neighbors drive way, on the wrong side of the street. I asked the man kindly to move his truck to the other side of the road or to park in front of the house he was working for and he told me he would "in a few" I then explained that I had to go to work soon and would not be able to leave if he put the truck back where it was. He told me " just come grab me." I told him I did not feel it was my responsibility to come get him to move the truck when he was not parked on the right side to begin with. He said he could park where he wanted and continued back into my neighbors house. I ended up having to call the police to get him to move the truck at all and he only moved it because he knew he was wrong. He also had no cones out warning cars of the truck, until I called. He still parked in front of my drive way but left my anointing neighbors driveway open just enough for me to fit. The point is I shouldn't have even had to call them in the first place I asked him multiple times to please move his truck before I called the police and asked the neighbors to request they move it as well. (Not sure if they did or not) highly unprofessional and do not recommend.

I was not able to pack, and their packing service was perfect. None of my items were broken during transit and she taught me how to be thoughtful about packing in the future. Her service was so affordable I'll likely call her to pack me any time I move again. Overall I really appreciated my service. The value for their speediness and care was fantastic. I thought I'd be on the phone all night directing folks, but instead, it took under two hours door to door from Urbana to Savoy for several large, awkward pieces of furniture like a bed with ... spires? poles?... and a big old reclining couch that had to be super heavy. I can't thank them enough!
