They were the first to respond to my initial quote request on yelp, with very clear and professional yet friendly quotes and scheduling, and when I had to reschedule by a day they were very supportive (even responding after hours too). They moved a bunch of very heavy wood furniture without a dolly, like it was nothing! No nicks in the walls or damage to any of my items, and I've had those issues with other movers in the past, but absolutely no issues with Bishop Elite Services! And their attention to detail was excellent. They packed fragile things (furniture with glass, mirrors, etc) very well using moving blankets and industrial sized plastic wrap, which I had never seen done, but it was very effective and I wasn't worried about the antique furniture from my grandparents getting damaged, I knew my heirlooms were safe with them. They also made sure all of the boxes went to the right rooms and their labels were all facing out. I've had movers completely ignore the labels and put things in wrong rooms with all the labels facing the wall, so I was extra happy the carefully labeled boxes ended up in the right rooms with labels visible. They also rearranged the furniture when we changed our minds about where things should go without blinking an eye. Plus the guys were all very nice, it was lovely to just chat with them during the whole process. They also do snow removal, hauling and other odd jobs, so you should give them a call! My neighbors hired them to move their things, I came home to their truck parked, completely…read moreblocking me and my other neighbors drive way, on the wrong side of the street. I asked the man kindly to move his truck to the other side of the road or to park in front of the house he was working for and he told me he would "in a few" I then explained that I had to go to work soon and would not be able to leave if he put the truck back where it was. He told me " just come grab me." I told him I did not feel it was my responsibility to come get him to move the truck when he was not parked on the right side to begin with. He said he could park where he wanted and continued back into my neighbors house. I ended up having to call the police to get him to move the truck at all and he only moved it because he knew he was wrong. He also had no cones out warning cars of the truck, until I called. He still parked in front of my drive way but left my anointing neighbors driveway open just enough for me to fit. The point is I shouldn't have even had to call them in the first place I asked him multiple times to please move his truck before I called the police and asked the neighbors to request they move it as well. OK, here are some details about our experience: we made an appointment at 10am to move to our new apartment, but they did not show up even at 10:30am. We called the workers, and they said they could not make it in the morning, what the hell??! Alright, we had no choice at that time and agreed to have them come to move at 1:00pm. Then guess what.... they kept delaying from 1pm to 1:30pm, and then 1:30pm to 2pm, and finally arrived at our apartment at 2:40pm! They arrived ~5 hours late, but even more disgusting things were gonna happening: they arrogantly said it is our mis-communication that caused the issue. Then arrogantly, they refused to move because we do not have a truck---but they NEVER informed us beforehand (we called them so many times but they never mentioned that) and we have three available vehicles for them to use! They reluctantly went upstairs to see our stuff, and immediately turned around after seeing our boxes and complained there are too many, leaving words saying "good luck with finding someone else".... WTF! We finally ended up with asking for help from three friends and finished moving all the boxes within one hour. The experience with them really sucks! Waited ~5 hours but they did nothing! I decided to use Allied thinking a big company would give me a superior result. Instead it turned into a nightmare, that finally resolved only after several calls to their national office. I would never, ever use this company again. They got 2 stars because the actual movers were efficient, energetic, and helpful. The scheduling staff was the problem.

They gave us a binding estimate for a long-distance move after coming out twice to see everything…read morewe were bringing. By their own manual, that means they will deliver all of our goods regardless of weight. After loading everything and bringing it to their warehouse, they said they would need $3,500 more to deliver. When we did not immediately succumb and argued the point, they then moved back the delivery window significantly. They originally had also promised us in addition $100 for every day it was late. We didn't get our stuff for three weeks after that window closed, and only after we found another company to load it from their warehouse. They have also not paid us for the delay.
