I asked the man kindly to move his truck to the other side of the road or to park in front of the house he was working for and he told me he would "in a few" I then explained that I had to go to work soon and would not be able to leave if he put the truck back where it was. He told me " just come grab me." I told him I did not feel it was my responsibility to come get him to move the truck when he was not parked on the right side to begin with. He said he could park where he wanted and continued back into my neighbors house. I ended up having to call the police to get him to move the truck at all and he only moved it because he knew he was wrong. He also had no cones out warning cars of the truck, until I called. He still parked in front of my drive way but left my anointing neighbors driveway open just enough for me to fit. The point is I shouldn't have even had to call them in the first place I asked him multiple times to please move his truck before I called the police and asked the neighbors to request they move it as well. On top of that, my schedule changed suddenly the day before when my flight into town to do this move was delayed a day. Through all this, they were wonderful. They were the first to respond to my initial quote request on yelp, with very clear and professional yet friendly quotes and scheduling, and when I had to reschedule by a day they were very supportive (even responding after hours too). They moved a bunch of very heavy wood furniture without a dolly, like it was nothing! No nicks in the walls or damage to any of my items, and I've had those issues with other movers in the past, but absolutely no issues with Bishop Elite Services! And their attention to detail was excellent. They packed fragile things (furniture with glass, mirrors, etc) very well using moving blankets and industrial sized plastic wrap, which I had never seen done, but it was very effective and I wasn't worried about the antique furniture from my grandparents getting damaged, I knew my heirlooms were safe with them. They also made sure all of the boxes went to the right rooms and their labels were all facing out. I've had movers completely ignore the labels and put things in wrong rooms with all the labels facing the wall, so I was extra happy the carefully labeled boxes ended up in the right rooms with labels visible. They also rearranged the furniture when we changed our minds about where things should go without blinking an eye. Plus the guys were all very nice, it was lovely to just chat with them during the whole process. They also do snow removal, hauling and other odd jobs, so you should give them a call! The quoted price was ok, as the move should've taken about 2 hours, based on previous moves, renting a truck myself; I didn't do it this time, since I have been receiving PT and other treatments for my knees. This move took about 5 hours! The guys were courteous and careful, but it just took entirely too long. My daughter and I even moved many small packages to our cars ourselves, just to give us something to do. This ended up costing much, much more than I anticipated, due to the extra 3 hour service time. I gave verbal feedback on the company voice mail system, asking for follow-up. There were only 2 attempts to contact me to discuss the situation. I called back once, but it is difficult to speak with a "live" person on their phone system.
