Beware, very poor customer service when she was a no show with the cake for a 12 yr olds birthday party after she failed to show for the cake to be picked up she promised she would deliver because she was running behind. Ms. Tyreece was wonderful when I contacted her about a wedding cake last minute. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone together nailing down the details. The resulting cake was BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS. What I asked for vs what I got. I sent this lady a very detailed email explaining what I wanted my cupcakes to look like. She completely ignored all my notes. As you can see in the email I asked for no fondant & ONLY pink colors. She used grey fondant & white frosting. I had my cake for about an hour when this photo was taken so Im not buying the bs about it melting due to mistreatment. Also gave me the wrong flavor cake & used the wrong picture for my cake despite me calling her to confirm we were on the same page She gave me a $20 refund then ignored my requests for AT LEAST a partial refund. I ordered a wedding cake from the owner Tyreece. After paying the invoice, I sent an email to make sure she received my payment and I received no response. I texted her asking if I could pick up the cake earlier in the day because I had people coming into town and I had to make a couple of airport runs. She responded that it was impossible. She wrote that we had a scheduled pickup time for 6pm the day before my wedding. I texted her back to ask for the address to where I should pick up the cake the next day. She did not respond. I texted her asking if the add on the invoice was correct. There was no response. The next day (the day of pick up) at 2:52pm 3 hours before our scheduled pickup time, she responds. She said "Do you have the address?" I said "I have the one on the invoice, is this correct?" She said yes. I asked my groom to pick it up at the address she confirmed. He left work and got to the location at 5:15pm because it was too far from our home. When he arrived, it was a UPS post office location for a business address. At 5:16, Tyreece called me and told me she was running behind with deliveries and could not be there until 6:45. At 6:40, I called to check how far she was away from the location. She said, I am two minutes away. I told her that my groom was standing in front of the UPS. She said oh no that is our mailing address. I told her you confirmed this address. i asked to please take the cake to my groo who had waited so long for her to arrive. She yelled "NO!" "He will have to come here!" She gave me the address and told me that she would be waiting in her truck in the bus lane with her flashers on. The address was 5 minutes away from the mailbox address she first gave me. My groom met her there and picked up the cake. The cake is beautiful! I have not tasted it yet because the wedding takes place in a few hours. Even it the cake tastes wonderful, the very poor customer service that we received would not cause me to give a better review. i would not recommend Mela T Bakery for any special event! This women is absolutely awful! She forgot to make my sons birthday cake and called me the day of his party to tell me that what she was sending was not at all what I ordered and she would provide me a refund. I paid $170 for a two tiered ninja cake and got a 6 inch in decorated cake that was not only the wrong flavor, not designed not even a happy birthday and was dry and gritty tasting. It was so bad the guests didn't even eat it. She arrived 2 hours after the event began and didn't actually tell me what happened until a half hour before the cake finally got there. Then to top everything off she had the nerve to say that I'm f***ing with the wrong one once I got upset. Nonetheless the refund she claims she processed is still not received on my end and PayPal confirmed has not been processed. So save the " we gave you a refund and thanks for choosing Mela T. " She does trash business, I have not received my refund and I regret doing business with her. If your investing in an event that means a lot to you do not leave the detail in her hands. It's a serious gamble with her and your money will be better spent elsewhere I assure you. The first image is what I ordered and she said she could deliver. The second picture is what she sent me last minute. Funniest part is the voicemail she left apologizing for the mistake but at the end all when she assumed the phone call ended was her cursing about how she forgot another f...ing cake.
