I highly recommend this auto repair shop. Our car is a BMW and Hector (our service representative) was truly amazing at assisting me in the process where we had an extended warranty to Navigate during our repair time. Their shop with the muliple bays of car lifts is impressive to see in action. The shop has a very professional feeling and the repair results are great. The over communication was a 10/10 for me to feel assured we were taking our vehicle to the right shop. Bravo to the Mechanics, Managers and the Owner read more

What a great place! I was in town for a family emergency and discovered our tail lights weren't working. My AirBnb host recommended Mekaniks & I'm so glad she did. Sergio was great. He fit me in first thing in the morning and even drove me home & picked me up when the work was done! He explained what caused the problem and gave me a really good price for the work. Super nice and honest & trustworthy. I highly recommend! read more

Took my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 here since my rear differential broke. These guys offered us a few choices; get a new axle from a parted out car or try and rebuild/get a new differential and it happened to be the new axle was cheap enough for the budget I have. Took a couple days but that's expected as they took off the entire rear end and rebuilt it with new parts. Also offered what shocks I wanted and decided to go with the Rancho's. Love the way it's been driving and will hopefully be back for my front end repairs needed shortly! read more

Mekaniks Plus Transmission & Auto Care - Rear Axle replacement with new shocks and breaks. 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 - Auto Repair Near Me - Oxnard, California

Stopped in first thing on a Monday morning for an air conditioning service and was done and out of there in about thirty minutes, even though the shop was full. Car is a 1999 Firebird Formula with the Corvette LS-1 engine, so nothing exotic in the way of service requirements. Mario is a nice guy and seems to have a good business ethic. They have the end unit so there is a good amount of room to shuffle cars around. Alex worked on my A/C and did an efficient job. Both guys had good communication with me. Costs were discussed up front and were less than the last place I went to. Looks like I'll be taking more of my business to them. I am a fan! read more

I'm very picky with auto repair places since I almost always have bad experiences. This was one of the best experiences I've had ever. Fast, professional, friendly, I will be going here from now on read more

Strongly recommended. If you want a shop that's honest and doesn't just want to take money from you, mekanik plus is the place. I went in to get my transmission serviced and, honestly would have spent the money needed to fix it. After speaking with Adam he explained that I had a warranty on it and to take it to nissan instead of just taking my money. Thanks guys. read more

Good fast efficient service for my air condition problem. Did it in half an hour as promise. Thanks Mario.

These people are intelligent and helpful. Clean shop. Fair prices. I am happy with services they have provided.

Gear shifter on 2004 Mercury Mountaineer sheared off in my hand on August 15, 2019. Mekaniks Plus was recommended as a repair facility by the AAA local tow service and our stereo installer. We selected the Oxnard location and are very satisfied with the repairs done. We coordinated the tow drop-off with Adam. Sergio became our Point-Of-Contact for the repairs. Adam and Sergio provided great customer service and were very patient with answering our questions and concerns. Sergio explained options with costs and let us make the final decision. Because of our positive experience and satisfactory outcome, we would definitely do business again with Mekaniks Plus Oxnard, CA. read more

Amazing customer support and very accommodating. We had an emergency with my wife being stranded when the car broke down and they were willing to help out immediately. Thank you! read more

TLDR: - Diagnostic fee is waived if you approve labor/hardware - Diagnostics, required, and requested repairs were all completed in less than 2 days - 24 month / 24,000-mile warranty on hardware - Will try to repair before replacing hardware. - Will explain the entire process to you in as much detail as you want - Will potentially show you all replaced parts after work is complete upon request. - Recommended by family member. I was very surprised to have such a great car repair experience, which is convenient because it was my first. Read this if you have time: I was involved in a hit and run and I have never had my car serviced at all other than an oil change so real accident repairs were scary. I'm a computer repairman and I have no "truckness" like some other men so getting a car fixed is intimidating. Not knowing what is wrong and how to fix it myself and depending on someone else's expertise to use the most cost-effective, and most reliable parts scares me. That being said, I want to list out what I liked about this place... diagnostics for $120 which they waive the diagnostic fee if you approve the official estimate they prepare. They have itemized invoices. They try to repair parts before they replace them, which is very important to me. They let me know how much the entire repair could cost if every component that was involved in the collision was damaged, and then an estimate of what they absolutely know they have to replace before being able to know if other parts need replacing. Updates on the repair were provided every day so I wouldn't have to sit and wonder. I didn't even have to call for updates. The entire repair probably only took them a few hours, and most of the time they were waiting on custom order parts which they received overnight which is pretty fast turn around time. Once all repairs were done, they also recommended other non-essential fixes such as my cabin air filter, which was horrendous and I had forgotten to change after the fires, and I had forgotten to get an oil change earlier in the year. For a reasonable price, I was able to get my life back on track. After repairs, I was offered to be shown all the parts that had been replaced, and that made me feel good about knowing a little more involving what had been done because car parts don't exactly always have self-explanatory names. The car feels newer than before my accident. They cleaned the inside and out, they changed my key fob battery because it was low, and the entire car's handling feels really stiff and tight and nice, in part because they topped off my tires, but mostly because the repair was very solid I feel. read more

Would I take my car here again ? No....very unprofessional, & dishonest. Giving 2 stars because after weeks they actually fixed my car (time frame was expected to be days not weeks). read more

This is my first time to write a review, the guys here(Mario, Adam, Christian just to name a few) are the most helpful and honest, reliable shop to do business with. We live in Ojai and bring our Volvo XC90 here over any mechanic shop. We've had many problems with this car since purchase and they have resolved every problem we've had. Beyond never being annoyed to my many phone calls they have the BEST customer service, prompt repairs, they really look out for you. My car broke down with my 3 year old in the car in an intersection in topanga my tow insurance was going to take 2 hours and Mario sent 2 tow trucks to come take me to safety within 45 minutes! This is one of the many reasons we will never take out cars to anybody but them. Truly exceptional care for the people and cars they repair! I would give them 1000 stars if I could!! read more

Very good first time experience with Mekaiks. They are polite, professional and honest with a reasonal price.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Had transmission overhauled and ONLY lasted 3 years and was given the excuse that my car is known for transmission issues. Not sure if OEM or aftermarket parts were used. There work does not reflect what I paid to have the work done. I would not recommend this shop at all. I cannot see going back every three years to have my transmission overhauled. POOR read more
