We had Mejaro inspect our fairly newer home recently and was very impressed with their services before, so decided to hire them again. They started with notifying us when they would be arriving and what protocols were in place due to Covid. I opted to stay in the home (was working from home). The inspector texted me that he had arrived (I requested this) and once he explained what he was going to be doing, he went off to inspect. During the inspection my crazy dogs followed him around and tried to help, handled it very professionally-did not take the dogs up on the help. lol House was left clean, did not even know they were there. We received our report via email very promptly, lots of detail and much to my surprise received an email with referrals to companies that could fix the issues that were found on the report. THIS was huge, I don't know about you but it is not easy to find affordable, trustworthy, available, GOOD handymen/contractors. THIS was pure gold. I'll start with calling Mejaro to schedule the inspection. Megan was very helpful with finding a date and time to schedule the inspection during a very hectic time. I appreciate her attention to customer service. I quickly received an email with a link regarding the scheduled inspection, the inspection agreement, and a link to make the payment. This make the start of the process easy. Thank you Megan! The day of the home inspection, I arrived at the home to meet the listing agents, and the inspector(s) from Mejaro about 15 minutes early and the two inspector(s) from Mejaro were already there unloading their equipment. This I appreciate as I was on a schedule as well. Joris greeted me and explained what they planned to do. He and I discussed some concerns I already with the home and he was very receptive. He and Brian were very thorough and professional with their inspection. I am sure that the attic and crawlspace inspection of a 160 year old home made for a tedious task, but Brian was fearless and managed to fit in those spaces. Not only did he fit, he made his way around within those spaces to thoroughly document and photograph any issues. As Brian was packing up, Joris walked me back through and showed me some of the issues he was most concerned about. This was very helpful as it gave me a direct understanding of those issues. Then the final report came later that evening which I thought was fast. It was also very complete and thorough. It was organized well and had photos and explanations along with recommendations and degrees of severity of concern. This report made it very easy to generate a proposal for modification of the terms of the purchase agreement with the seller. From the website to the report and everything in between was professional, courteous, informative, and educational. Look, whether you are about to buy a home, (biggest purchase of my personal life, and my first home), or selling your home, or really just want some advice on maintaining your home. These are the right guys for the job. I scheduled online for my pre purchase inspection, for the next day and had no issues with timeliness or needing rescheduled. I arrived at the property early to be surprised with them already there doing the exterior inspection, and ready to move to the interior. Upon arrival, I was greeted by each of the inspectors, who had their areas of expertise, which made me very happy. I was able to ask questions, bounce thoughts off them, they did not mind me pointing out things that I was concerned about as well as putting my mind at ease on others.
