Unfortunately for me, the corporation I work for has changed insurance on us TWICE in 2019. Each time causing massive headaches, reset deductibles, new benefits, etc. I have a condition which requires meds that are close to $25 PER DAY. PER DAY TWENTY FIVE FREAKIN DOLLARS. $600+ per month.
The pharmacist there, Rachel, has worked to help me extensively. The Brand name was superseded about 4 months into the year by a generic (finally) which reduced the cost to $12/day, which is great, and just under$400/mo. BUT, this generic sucked, and was made in a 3rd world country, but it was cheaper. Next month I mentioned this, and the pharmacist looked into it, and found an alternate generic that is made in the US, and of course works much better. She special ordered me a month supply, and filled my now 6th month supply for 2019. New brand worked better than the name brand and was $11/day. She also was able to assist again and found a mfg program to reduce cost again. Now the cost to me, out of pocket, is just over $100.
She saved me $500 a month on my meds. FIVE HUNDRED.
I didn't evne know generics existed prior to this meijer. Would go again, 11/10.
Also, I've never had a problem with managers and techs here and have at other pharmacies. Like any service position YOUR demeanor and behavior great affects the outcome of service. I've been at this pharmacy a lot trying to get my meds, being a pain-in-the-butt trying to get costs down. They were always nice. I have seen them stand their ground on rude and ignorant patients, and can't blame them. But more than most: nice in = nice out. Always read a reviewers history as well, you may find that they never have anything nice to say. read more
