I always go to the u scan there and the weird lady at the you scan always looks at my cart two three times like I have no big items for you to scan. So today I told her to step away from me I can scan my own items.. she was like you have two peppers I go yea I know she was like i will scan them for you like no go away please and that's what I said to her ..I mean there was a lady in front of me with 3 gallon of milk in her cart ask her if she needs help scanning those. We definitely need one in the DMV. Everything you want, it's like a one stop shop. From groceries, bakery, household items to libations. Clean, organized and well stocked. It's like a Walmart but better. Better yet, it's like a Wegmans but better. They have a lot of grab and go stuff for a quick meal prep. Checking out was a breeze. Definitely will return. read more

This location refused to honor Meijer's baby gear recycling event despite the fact that the program was indeed STILL IN EFFECT today. Today was the last day of the event, and I was able to take my used car seat to a different Meijer an obtain the coupon for 25% off baby gear. I called ahead to this Meijer and was told they were no longer offering the coupon. They also told me that a previous customer was similarly denied the coupon by this store's management. How this location was able to deny customers contrary to Meijer's published guidance needs explanation. Wow ~ This Meijer location was remodeled 2 years ago! I've shopped here several times afterwards, so I am pleased to write a new updated review from my disappointing one back on June 24, 2017. The isles are very wide and shelves are stocked during the week after the Saturday sale starts. Although I don't shop here or anywhere on the weekend...no way! Since I shop in the morning hours, I enjoy the city of Chesterfield Township here because of so many other well known stores in the vicinity on Gratiot Avenue at 23 Mile Rd. They are all fairly new also. There are many busy employees working hard. They will always greet you with a smile to say Hello, even when I pass by them as I buzz shop or grab and go! The "Fresh" entrance carries a variety of produce and vegetables with ready made containers of salads, fruits, salsa and other fresh G & G (Grab & Go) items for your daily health. The Deli, Bakery, Meat plus Seafood departments always have quality items plus stocked and are well maintained. The Dairy department along with other areas as frozen, grocery, household and other staples can easily be found with their new bright royal blue labeled information signs. *Meijer brands are competitive with name brands with delicious quality and lower in prices of course!* Currently all isles as of today, July 9th are labeled with blue arrows to designate one way shopping to help with social distancing by 6 feet. Great organization and bright lights when shopping in the areas of Beer & Wines. Just like being in a colorful candy store with a variety of different flavors for all your alcohol needs with low sale prices. When I power shop, I also power step walk too so in passing by: The pharmacy, housewares, All Clothing, Toys, Sporting goods, Automotive & Garden Departments are again stocked, clean and well maintained for all shopping needs. Today I noticed and heard some upbeat pop music playing while buzz shopping. All the songs kept me happy, singing and smiling under my Mask! :-) Check out today @ 12pm was 8 major registers opened with employees. Customer Service Area was clear and clean with three employees handling it. Today Both ends of the store at the entrance of Produce and Pharmacy had six U-Scan for 20 items or less checkouts open and working. Why 4? Instead of 5 stars... I really had hoped this Meijer location would of remodeled at checkout with the "U-Scan Plus Conveyor Belt" as My other favorite location has on Groesbeck Highway at Cass. Consistent with the rest of America, Meijer's has gone downhill. The 23 & Gratiot store is particularly bad. Not only are the lines long and staffing levels low, it's dirty, disorganized and full of the usual demoralized masses. If this store was human, it would be a crack-head. I recommend avoiding this particular location, however since the USA has become a national train-wreck, the same lowly conditions probably exist at most grocery stores. My advice? Drive north into the country and do business with the road-side farmers. read more

This is a great store overall but my experience with 'Heather' at the customer service desk made it not so pleasant. She had a very dismissive attitude and offered for me to talk to the manager with a very nasty tone. Meanwhile I was asking a simple question very kindly just out of curiosity. While I was waiting for her to finish helping me another customer wanted to drop off a package to return. She was very dismissive and rude with him as well. A rude pharmacy employee answered my call after they called me twice while I was sleeping, with no greeting, asking who I was and displaying annoyance asking me questions such as who are you? And I don't know why you're calling. They informed me that my prescription was out of stock which was fine to me and suggested transferring it to another pharmacy. The fresh lettuce, spinach, kale etc is soaking wet. Just to make the fresh items look more appealing, the water you spray on makes the tender vegetables rot within a day or two. There is no need to spray fresh produce. read more

This store has been in a downward spiral for years. The shelves are half full, regardless of the time you visit the store.

This is probably the most outdated Meijer I have ever stepped foot in. It needed a makeover a good 10 years ago, its THAT outdated and filthy. Employees are generally friendly, especially the door greeters. One thing I don't like about Meijer is every time I find something i like at this store, it moves locations the next time I am there. This isn't my go to store for groceries, toys, clothes or anything really so it makes my trip even longer when I can't find something. Produce isn't very fresh. Make sure to check dates, especially on yogurt parfaits and apple snacks. Meijer doesn't have baggers so the waits are generally a lot longer than other stores. I do love that Meijer has self checkout and i don't just mean the U-Scan. You're able to scan all the items in your cart no matter how many there are, if you wanted to. Although the machines can a little touchy when it comes to scanning items or coupons. Has a subway inside for a quick bite to eat while shopping..right next to the deli. How convenient. Bottle room is located near the dairy section. read more

Meijer's On Thursday i had to shop for the 4th of July (grocery's) and it was late 9:00 Pm. First i went to Kroger's 23 mile the store looked like Covid had just hit. It was empty there was no meat nothing and no help, they have the rudest workers stocking. They pile in it in the middle of the aisles and WILL NOT MOVE IF YOU CAN FIND A STOCK PERSON and the answer is ALL WAYS THE SAME IF ITS NOT OUT THEN WE DON'T HAVE ANY Then i went to Walmart's same thing as Kroger's. It's Meijer. What else is there to say? It's a good store to go to if you need groceries and clothes, toys and electronics! Store is always clean, employees are helpful and pleasant. Always find what I need. My major issue with this place is their lack of checkouts open. Seriously. There could be 300 people checking out and they would only have 2 cashiers open. How does this make sense? And the scan it yourself area is worse! I've literally seen the line back to the dairy section (rear of store). Way to irritate people. This store seems to have everything I need in stock whenever I come to this location. It's close to my work and convenient to go on my lunch or right after work. However, every time I stop in.. Middle of the day or after work the place is extremely busy as well as the check out lines. Only a small amount of registers open and long lines. Yesterday I went in on my lunch. I bought $8 worth of items to make chili (mostly canned items) and all the u-scan lanes were down, which was inconvenient because you then had to wait in even longer lines. But overall, I've never had a bad experience other than the long checkout lines. read more

Not a lot of options in the area for groceries, pretty much its just Meijer and krogers. The shelves are well stocked and the vegetables and fruits are fresh. Prices are reasonable with weekly specials. Pretty much has everything you need and them some. read more

26 and 94 location is usually fairy clean and well stocked. Prices for what I shop for are better than the competitors. They had a coffee kiosk in there for a second, unfortunately it was taken out. Nice big store! Very modern with all the bells and whistles. Thought I was in a Wal-Mart, seriously the largest Meijer i've been in. Everything was neat, organized and suburban. Higher end products can be found here with a seafood and meat counter. Great place, will return. read more

Just tried calling them about a Father''s Day order I made in the deli. I called 6 times and nobody could get me to the deli counter, they transferred me to every department but. I have been calling and showing up to this Meijer to try and return my bottles for over 2 weeks since they said they would open them up. I'm so fed up with this Meijer website says bottle return is open for me to drive up to find out it's closed. Second off put more people on your customer service line everyday I have called I've waited 17-25 mins to ask if the bottle return was open.
