Previous doc walked in, looked at my chart, wrote new scrips (high BP) and if I wanted to discuss anything else, make an appointment! Dr. Bob discussed my family medical history- parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and siblings. Only then did he proceed with a thorough exam, Rx review, and due to history of heart problems, gave me an EKG right there in his office and went over it with me before I left. If I call them sick, they have never failed to see that same day. If something comes up last minute and I can't make a scheduled appt. I have never been charged. I have gone in for check ups and before leaving, he would say "Anything else we need to look at today?" and I would tell him about a concern I was having and he would come back and check this out, too. I don't just consider him my doctor, I think of him as my friend. And lest you assume I was paid to write this, he has too much integrity to even think of asking a patient to do that!

I went to an appointment with her once, and this guy was a COMPLETE ASSHOLE. He is passive-aggressive (emphasis on the aggressive), doesn't know what he's talking about (he tried to tell my mom that she didn't have Gastroparesis, even though he is not a GI doctor; even after he spoke to my mom's GI doctor, he still thought she could "cure" her Gastroparesis by doing things SHE ALREADY DOES). He comes up with these bizarre ideas, and won't let them go. I just moved back to Rome recently, and have a hard time finding a physician. I have a chronic illness that require I take medication, so I was going to go see Dr. Pittman to get my prescriptions until I found someone better. I went to his office and spent 30-45 minutes filling out paperwork. They told me it would be a week or two before they would call me and give me an appointment; two days later they called me and told me Dr. Pittman had rejected my application "at this time." I did not do anything to warrant my application being rejected. When his staff called, they wouldn't tell me why they had rejected me. If you want a good physician who will listen to you and work with you (and generally be a decent human being), THIS IS NOT THE DOCTOR FOR YOU.

Not only did she stand beside me until i transitioned to my new PCP, she stayed dedicated to my care with the same compassion, respect and kindness to all of her patients. Dr. Rooks guaranteed my prescriptions were refilled, as requested by my local pharmacy. Her staff were on top of my records release request and her nurse Angela would call to let me know. I could check the pharmacy's app on my phone to verify the prescription was going through. Everyone at Tanner Primary Care made the transition as seamless as it could be, knowing I had lost my faith in the healthcare system. They are one of four physicians I trust to attempt to put their patients care first. I respect their commitment and courage. Everyone has the compassion to be able to assist and advocate for their patients. I will miss Dr Rooks. See and the physician who she took my care over from will always be missed.
