One evening when we were given an estimated wait time of 30 minutes by Spacca Napoli for a patio table, we found that an excellent chance to visit Hazel, a mere 5-minute walk from the pizzeria. As soon as we walked inside Hazel, a friendly man behind the counter promptly greeted us.  I was impressed by the huge and well-curated collection of goods for all ages and styles.  Daughter was so excited to show me around as if it's her own store, lol.  On one wall was a huge display of greeting cards.  There were also jewelry, accessories, baby gifts, housewares, and gifts for men.  Prices were quite reasonable.  If you need a gift, there's really no excuse of not finding one to buy. We were there for 10 minutes having a great time browsing around, then my phone rang and I was told that our table was ready, so we hurried out without buying anything.  The friendly man behind the counter still politely said "thank you" to us! As now I read that they close at 7:00 pm during weekdays, I am even more impressed, because we actually stepped in the store 10 minutes before they closed, and they still welcomed us!  We will definitely be back!

A very nice experience. I was impressed by their broad range of merchandise, everything from paper…read morelanterns to wood carvings to dolls. And they have a nice selection of Chinese dresses and shirts reasonably priced (even if the changing room is a little dodgy.) There were also some pretty kimono, which was awesome. There are just so many pretty things at good prices. The only thing is that, as a fair number of stores in Chinatown, it's a little cramped and somewhat difficult to get around. I couldn't even get to some of the clothing in the back since there was a ladder in the way. I'm willing to overlook that, though. The staff was really friendly and helpful, very fun to talk to. We had a little mix up because they charged us for items my brother had bought separately and they weren't really sure how to refund us but they were so nice about it and were clearly trying their best. Overall it's a nice experience, good little place to do some light knick knack shopping.

If you wanna look like you've been to China with a bunch of Chinese stuff made in China, this is the place. They do have things relating to Chicago, but a lot of the stuff is just Chinese stuff that'll sit around your house gathering dust. Think lots of little statues, vases, cups, bowls. I feel like a bull in a China shop in here- all the aisles and merchandise is so jammed close together, that every time I turn around, I feel like I'm going to break some fragile jade egg or some bamboo vase. They also sell Chinese clothing, which all seemed a bit small for my tastes. But it's pretty. It's a shop in a nice location- it's sort of in the souvenir district of Chinatown- there's a few cool other similar shops on the same street, right in front of the Chinese archway that leads you into Chinatown.

They have done…read moresome excellent social media marketing and we added this store as a priority stop during our trip after seeing several viral videos about creating a hat. Service was efficient and professional. Staff answered questions patiently and did their best to move customers through the hat making experience without making people feel super rushed. We arrived a little before opening on a weekday and a line had already been formed halfway down the block. The hype around their custom hats was real. Although there was a formalized line of people that was built, customers still needed to scan a QR code to file in a virtual queue to make their hat(s). Since we arrived early, the wait was very minimal through the virtual queue once the shop officially opened. There were several choices of caps to choose from. They had both adult and children hats. I was able to make (semi) matching hats for my daughter and me. Hats were reasonably priced, but the patches are what quickly made the price add up. They're plentiful and so cute. It was hard not to select a ton! Once we completed a mock-up of our hats, the time to finalize was quick. The girl who helped us was super friendly and lovely to chat with. She also gave my daughter a special sticker when we were all done. 5-star experience. We've worn our hats several times since making them and they're still holding up well. Highly recommend this experience if you're visiting Chicago from out of town.

Baseball is better in Chicago. I was greeted when I walked in and I stepped into and didn't know where to get the pickup at so I asked the greeter, but I think she was a regular employee or manager who was just watching the door since it was like 20 min til closing. and she helped me grab the item! She brought it to me in front and I didn't have to lift a finger. Very helpful experience in my book! I saw someone brought their dog in which is nice because I was looking for dog friendly places to visit with my pup. The items are pricey but they are Chicago tailored and I like that.
