Really good food. Very fresh. We drive 20 minutes for it. Best Chinese in the area for sure. Have never been disappointed.

One of the Best Chinese Food Experiences I've Ever Had!…read more I've had a lot of Chinese food over the years, but this place truly stands out. Their Szechuan Chicken is one of the best I've ever tasted, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just the right amount of spice. The food is always fresh, never dry, and you can really taste the quality in every bite.

They are currently only doing drive-thru takeout, but you can still tell that the folks are super nice. The son was playing basketball around back when I came to pick up the food, and there's something really wholesome about that that I like. I only spend a week or two a year in the area, so I only get China Panda maybe once a year, but I can report that they've got super solid General Tso's chicken, orange beef, and egg rolls (scallion pancakes and dumplings TBD). They no longer make egg foo young, but luckily I think my mother in law is the only person who is affected by this information, as I'd never heard of the dish before her. They've got everything else that the rest of us order from Chinese joints (except, in my last visit, vegetables with the General Tso's which I thought was odd), and it'll satisfy the craving we all have from time to time.

This one's easy and straightforward: Szechuan Opera is probably the best Chinese restaurant in…read moreRochester, NY--and that's coming from someone who lived on the West Coast for years. The food has real, traditional spices and bold flavor. Nothing tastes watered down, and everything is seasoned the way you hope it'll be when you order Chinese food. Last time I got chicken fried rice, orange chicken, pan-fried dumplings, and crab rangoon. The fried rice was solid and well-seasoned, the orange chicken was crispy with a good sauce, the dumplings were nicely pan-seared, and the crab rangoon was fresh, crunchy, and hit the comfort-food spot. I've only done takeout, so I can't say much about the ambience, but it's centrally located with decent parking. Inside is traditionally decorated, and there's a giant golden throne in the lobby that's great for a quick picture. Service has always been speedy and friendly, orders come out fast, everything's packed well, and the staff is consistently nice.
