Meg's Piano did an excellent job. They moved our piano with great care, and fifteen days later they came back to tune it. Meg is truly a professional -- she answered all our questions, explained everything clearly, and gave us very helpful care recommendations. It's a pleasure to work with someone who really knows what they're doing. Highly recommended. read more

After accepting a baby grand move/tune, they showed up and declined the job. This was a piano they had moved before and knew the layout. They did give me the name of another mover which couldn't help me. I had numerous folks lined up for this move and it had to change to another day. read more

The short of it: Wonderful husband/wife team local business, very reasonable prices. You pick the piano, they'll bring it to you, move it in, and tune it, all included in the price. Longer: I bought a piano from Meg and Dusty over six years ago -- I know it was that long because I bought it so our firstborn would grow up with a piano in the house, and he just turned six. After being patient with my pickiness, they drove the piano to my house in east Austin, moved it in, and tuned it on the spot. Easy. Cut to yesterday: We're moving and upgrading to a new piano, so I called Meg and Dusty and asked if they'd come pick up the old one. They did, free of charge, and Dusty even offered me tips on picking the new one. A+ experience. read more

Meg and her husband Dusty are a one-stop shop for refurbished pianos, piano moving, tuning and repair. I found them after I'd already bought a piano, so I didn't get to take advantage of their skills in renovating instruments, but I can sure vouch for the moving, tuning and repair part. Friendly, fast, efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant, informative and considerate are just some of the adjectives that describe these folks. I called Meg's number this morning about 11, she and her husband met me at the location where the piano needed to be picked up at 2, and they had it moved, tuned and repaired (one key had a busted spring) in about an hour. They were very careful with the piano and considerate of my floor, and they made sure it was all set up the way I wanted it before they left. An added bonus is to get to hear Meg play for a couple of minutes, making sure the instrument is in good order. When I told Meg I was gonna have to move some furniture to make room for the piano, she offered to come by and help. I didn't take her up on it, but that's just how friendly she is. The prices are reasonable and Meg's Piano is plain about the charges - there's nothing hidden, and no fast talk or hard sell. These are just good, honest folks who take pride in their work. My highest recommendation. If you'd rather email them than call, the address is megspiano@gmail.com read more

Meg tuned a 1960's ish piano. It had been 20+ years since it had been tuned. She got it tuned and it sounds so much better now. We got a mini-concert from her as she was testing it. We probably would have paid her to play other than just the tuning! She is tremendously talented. The tuning was affordable and we felt very safe having Meg in our home during the pandemic. If your piano needs to be tuned, or it doesn't and you just want to pay to hear her play, give Meg a call! read more

Meg did an excellent job. She responded quickly to my request for a quote. It was a bonus that her price is slightly lower than the other quotes I received. She arrived when she said she would (always a plus) and did a great job tuning the piano. She was very patient with my very curious 3 year old. The piano sounds great. I'll definitely be contacting Meg when it's time to get it tuned again. read more

Meg does a phenomenal job at tuning our upright piano, and makes it sound like new after every tuning. She pays close attention to detail and is very considerate. Highly recommended piano tuner in Austin. read more

Meg and Dusty delivered our piano for our family this afternoon, and our family is over-the-moon. Dusty thoughtfully cleaned the piano before bringing it into our home, carefully brought it into the house and diligently placed it in our living room. I especially loved how kind he was to our curious three children watching his every move. Then, Meg began to tune the piano. She tuned and adjusted for quite some time--she demonstrated so much care for her art. It was lovely seeing her musical magic, too. My 10-year-old especially loved her Für Elise! Thank YOU Meg and Dusty! Your efforts made our forever family piano possible. Take care, Phuong, Jeremy, Zac, Ruby, Story and Bella Cat read more

Meg was the quickest to reply and also the most reasonably priced when I sent out inquiries for tuning our piano that hadn't been played in a few years. We were able to schedule our tuning quickly and she arrived promptly. She was able to tune our piano and adjust a sticky pedal for us in less than an hour. She is also an amazing pianist herself. She's super sweet and a pro at what she does. Don't hesitate to use her services. read more

Meg was great. She arrived, and got straight to work on our piano. She explained some details about our piano, which is a family heirloom, that answered some questions we had about when it was created, etc. Our piano now sounds great. We will definitely be calling her again. read more

My husband and I are seniors, and the time to streamline our belongings has arrived. This included letting go of our vintage Hobart Cable upright. Dustin was very professional both, in his explaining the process and his seemingly effortless handling of moving the piano out of the house and into his van. I was truly impressed. I was sad to see my piano go, but Dustin assured me that it was in good enough condition to continue providing the joy of music. I would highly recommend Meg's Pianos. read more

What I thought was going to be a stressful and long process was so easy and actually enjoyable with Meg & Dusty! The move itself was super quick, and they clearly have a process down. They were super friendly and very professional and it was really interesting and great hearing their very clear communication style with each other. It made me feel like they cared about the safety of my piano, and knew exactly how to work with each other to do it right. If you have them move your piano, which you should, also do yourself a favor and have Meg tune it once it's at it's final spot. She was great, and HOLY MOLY the woman can play! It was so amazing hearing my piano sing like that, and it made me want to really practice and pick it back up after a long hiatus. I'm so glad I found actual piano people for this. Thank you so much! read more

Meg was very easy to work with and did a great job tuning my dad's old 1976 Everett Upright piano after we moved it from Colorado to Texas. She was very thorough and answered all of my questions. She even texted me when she was running a few minutes behind schedule to let me know. I will definitely use her service again when needed. read more

I am so impressed with this piano moving service! They really know what they are doing and are very methodical about the entire process of the move. The legs were very difficult to remove and piano lid pins were missing. Dusty even helped me to find the right size pins I needed for my Young Chang baby grand. Young Chang parts are unavailable and other piano resources did not have the right size until I searched "asian" size pins. That was the trick and they fit perfectly. Thanks Dusty! read more

Excellent service in every aspect. She was prompt, friendly and meticulous. There were " no keys left behind." She made sure it was right before she closed the lid. Her company is a small, family owned and operated business. She exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Megan for anything having to do with pianos. read more

Meg found a new home for my piano and the whole process was quick and easy. I contacted them via email and sent photos and a description of the piano; within a couple of weeks they found a new owner. They picked the piano up and the move out of the house was fairly quick and easy (much easier than I expected). Such a wonderful service they provide with re-homing pianos, and they are wonderful people to work with, too. read more

This experience with Meg and Dusty was as close to perfect as any I have had. From the time I contacted them to say what I was looking for, they found me a match quite quickly. I looked at and played the piano, they delivered it and tuned it the same day...on a Saturday afternoon. I love the piano and the experience was one I hope others can take advantage of after reading this review. read more

I do not believe this business exists or is active. I attempted to donate a working condition piano via their online intake form and left a polite voicemail and received no responses for a week plus. I am not sure this is a real business. read more

Best piano movers and service in Austin. Have used Meg many times to move, tune, and repair piano. Excellent service, excellent prices.

Great service, prices, and delivery. Needed a piano for just a couple of months to practice on, and Meg's was great to work with. Highly recommend. read more

The review by Guy S. is spot on. Meg and Dusty were extreme nice throughout the whole process of me looking for, purchasing, and having my piano installed. I interacted with them through email, text, phone, and face-to-face communication. Both extremely forthright and transparent, there are no hidden fees or funny business. They simply have used pianos and sell, transport, install and tune them in a sort of one-stop shop experience. They handle the pianos with extreme care, monitoring transportation, temperature, arrangement of walls, furniture, and stairs with grace. I live on the second level and they brought the piano up with no damage to my walls or the piano. After installation, the piano was tuned and polished. I believe the prices to be very inexpensive and extremely reasonable, from smaller, cheaper models to larger, more exquisite pianos. I believe they are a perfect example of two people running a business they love and are great at. This piano was a Christmas present for my wife and she LOVED it. Thanks Meg and Dusty!! After a couple of moves our piano was sounding terrible! To the point that my wife could not play through one song without stopping and then telling me how bad it needed to be tuned. So I turned to Yelp and set an appointment with Meg of Meg's Piano for today and could not be happier that I did! My wife has now been playing since Meg left - and that was over an hour ago!! I love to hear the sound of Music playing through my home again! Meg tuned the piano and also made some adjustments and then played beautifully through several songs to make sure it was all done right and sounds just the way it should. Thank you, Meg! read more

Excellent service! She arrived on time, was very professional, did her work and her pricing was very good. I have already recommended her to others and will use her again! read more

An amazing and finely tuned piano is now sitting in my living room and it's all thanks to Meghan and Dusty's mad skills! These guys are life changing! The piano was delivered on time and in the best shape. They really take pride in their work. Thanks, Meg's Pianos! read more

We could not have been more impressed than with Meg and Dusty from Meg's Piano. We have been searching for the best piano for our family for several months. Before Meg's Piano, everywhere we looked (online and in stores) the price did not match the value of what the piano was, and we could hardly get any background information on it (how old, how many previous owners, when it was tuned last). But with Meg's Piano, it was completely different. They communicated beautifully and consistently about all the pianos they had to offer, knew all the details about them and had incredibly reasonable pricing - it even included delivery and on the spot tuning! They are responsive, honest and professional. I knew the piano we were purchasing from them was a great value and that we would enjoy it for many years to come. They even made it special for our family with a wonderful "unveiling" to make the introduction of the piano into our home even that more special. Thanks, Meg's Piano!!!! read more

Meg was professional, courteous and spent a great deal of time ensuring our baby grand was perfectly tuned. And, as a bonus, she plays beautifully. Highly recommend. read more

We wanted a good used piano and spent a week looking at some advertised in a well-known online list. After finding nothing that we wanted to put in our house that also sounded/looked good I ran across Meg's Piano. We went to look at their available pianos, all of which were in great shape and looked awesome, and found one with beautiful sound. Four hours later that piano had been delivered to our home and tuned. My wife was playing 5 minutes later. Meg and her husband were both professional and pleasant. If you are looking for a reliable company with good used pianos or just need tuning or moving, give these good folks a try. read more

I have a beautiful Everett Console piano in my living room thanks to Meg's piano! Meg and Dusty were a great team, they brought my piano to me, same day I bought it, took my older piano for a small fee and will donate it to charity unless parts were used to restore other pianos. They were professional, affordable and a fabulous find! I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a playable instrument without spending a fortune. Before you buy on craigslist , call Meg! Or buy on craigslist and have Meg come move and tune it. Can't say enough great things about our experience. Thank you Meg and Dusty!! read more

Meg moved a 115 year old piano that I sold to a new family some months ago. The piano was an upright grand piano made from Oak wood. It weighed in about 1000 pounds and it had lots of surface detailings in the finish on it. It was located in a walkout basement. Meg and her husband moved that piano out of my west Austin house, down the hill some, around the house, and then up the hill without a scratch. They work well together as a pair and while it may not seem like when you first meet them, they really do know what they are doing and will care for your piano. Well done for a great price plus very nice people. I have recommend them to many verbally and have received excellent feedback from those recommendations. read more

We recently had these folks move and tune a used baby grand we purchased. Their prices were very reasonable, and they were quick, helpful, and careful. During the tuning one of the keys was making an odd clicking sound, and they spent quite a bit of extra time taking things apart to correct it. They were cheerful and friendly, and a total pleasure to do business with. Two thumbs up! read more

I had a great experience using Meg's Piano to move and tune a baby grand piano. Meg and Dusty were very easy to work with.

I used Meg to pick up, deliver and tune an upright piano I bought from craigs list. I called her around 11am on a Sunday morning and she and Dusty had the piano in my house by 2pm. After moving it into my home, she tuned the piano. Very friendly, super fast, well priced and professional, I'd highly recommend Meg's Piano. read more
