eview Rating:…read more "Avoid! They hold you hostage with fine print." I used this company for basement flood cleanup in January 2026. They were fast at first, but once the cleanup ended, the "reconstruction" phase became a nightmare. The Trap: They demanded a 70% deposit before they would even give me a quote, a timeline, or a walkthrough. The Fees: When I refused to pay for an invisible plan, they charged me massive cancellation feejust to walk away. The contract signed during the mitigation process gives them the ability to conduct your reconstruction on their timeline. The Threats: They claimed they could sue me for "lost profits" because I wouldn't agree to their unreasonable terms. They are great at the emergency part, but they use predatory contracts to lock you into expensive repairs. Get everything in writing before you sign a single page with this company.

Our experience with this company--particularly with the assigned project manager--was deeply…read moreupsetting and unacceptable from start to finish. The project manager Brandon Mazzacco, was consistently unprofessional, failed to communicate clearly, and generally did not appear to know what he was doing. He provided an inaccurate timeline at the outset and failed to consult with the work crews responsible for carrying out the job to ensure it was feasible. As a result, the timeline was extended at the very last minute--not once, but three separate times--which left our family displaced from our home for three times longer than we were originally told. The quality of the work performed was equally unacceptable. Much of the work was done poorly, and in several instances, it was completely incorrect. We repeatedly raised these concerns with the project manager, who failed to address them adequately. As a result, areas of our home were damaged--damage that could have and should have been avoided had the work been done with care, competence, respect and proper oversight. What is most disturbing, however, is the growing belief my wife and I share that this mistreatment and negligence were not just about incompetence, but deliberate. As a mixed-race gay couple, we could not help but notice the dismissive tone, condescension, and blatant lack of respect we received throughout the process. We cannot ignore the pattern of disregard and the persistent failure to correct mistakes that, in our view, went beyond negligence and bordered on discriminatory behavior. We expected a professional experience. What we received instead was disrespect, broken promises, poor workmanship, damage to our home, and a lingering sense that we were never treated as equal or worthy clients. No family should have to experience this--especially in their own home.

Their price blew every other quote out of the water and they offered a better shingle and a better workmanship guarantee warranty (10yr). Much to my surprise they were at my house 2 days later installing my new roof on the house. They stripped two layers of shingle, replaced several bad decking boards I had. They do 6ft of ice and water shield. Code only requires 3ft. They made sure everything on the roof was wrapped up, secure and water tight. Then they started putting down the shingles. I mean these guys work like a well oiled machine together. This company does not subcontract out the work. The employees work for J & J. My roof on house and garage looks great, they did a good job of cleaning up. I'm super happy with this company and highly recommend them. Would I recommend MGC - nope mainly because I felt they should have at least helped with the grout bill since this countertop looked completely unfinished with all the gaps left by their installation.
