Come Tuesday at 2 PM, I arrive and the same woman who scheduled the appointment is walking out the door telling me they're closed for the day, even though their posted hours say they're open until 4 PM. She claimed my appointment was for 11 AM, which is simply not true. She was unapologetic and dismissive, saying, "Well, you can come back tomorrow." Absolutely not. I would never waste my time again or subject my recently adopted pet to an environment where she might feel she's being returned. No wonder the check-up is "free", it's a free waste of time. As a business owner myself, I can tell you the issue starts at the front desk. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable.

Also, about a year ago I took my dog in because she had this hacking cough. As the doctor walks through the office in his dirty boots, I can see into the back office and there was medicine and dust and clutter everywhere. This place did not appear to be sanitary at all. After finishing the round of meds he prescribed for the cough, it continued to persist. I called, left messages, nothing. I called again the next day and they were able to see her. He wouldn't give her any other treatment and offered to scope her, which I can't afford. We left empty handed. He also declined to provide her a flea/heartworm option, and would only sell me heartworm medicine. Fast forward about six months, we moved and I found a new doctor. Not only is this place clean, the staff are professional and helpful. She has a respiratory infection STILL. She is being effectively treated at Eagle Mountain Vet in Azle. Highly recommend and MORE affordable and they offered me additional treatment options for her.

During all postoperative follow‑up visits, I was consistently told that his recovery appeared to be progressing normally. Unfortunately, Jack later developed significant complications that required care from other veterinarians and specialists. This led to additional procedures, extensive treatment, and a long rehabilitation process. Despite all of this, Jack continues to have limited mobility. He also has an ongoing issue with instability in his right knee, and rehabilitation for that side could only begin after the complications with his left leg were stabilized. After everything Jack went through, I reached out to Dr. Dean in good faith to share the full medical outcome and to ask whether there was any guidance, support, or perspective the clinic was willing to offer. I did not ask for money or make any demands. While there was brief acknowledgment of a misunderstanding, my follow‑up message received no response, and the matter was left unresolved. I understand that complications can occur in veterinary medicine. What was most disappointing for me was the lack of communication and follow‑up when things did not go as planned. During such a difficult and emotional situation, responsiveness and professionalism matter greatly. I hope this review helps others consider not only the surgical care, but also the communication and support they may experience if complications arise.

They sent notifications when Remmy was getting ready for surgery, when they started surgery and also sent update pictures after. Them reassuring Remmy would be okay and sending updates help ease my emotions. 2 weeks late for his post op the mass they took out was not cancerous.
