At first, thigs seemed great-tye got us in during an emergency, were friendly, and the cost felt reasonable. Unfortunately, everything that happened after that has been horrific. At her follow-up visit, we asked specifically if her splint needed to be changed. She is a growing puppy and the wrapp was extremely tight.. We were told by the vet and two techs that it didn't need to be changed unless it smelled. THey even laughed when voiced concern about my dogs skin. Assuring my daughter "she'll be fine, this is all normal". A few days later, splint started to smell awful, so back we went. They immediately took her to the aback and said she needed to stay based on the smell without letting me see her condition. Hours later, the only update I received was that she had a "small pressure sore," which they said was normal and that they planned to "let it air out'. Two days later when she was picked up, the leg was already wrapped. Four days later the splint started smelling awful again and was oozing from the bottom. I took her to VEG Emergency, where they removed the splint- what they found was devastating. Basically her entire arm/paw was a large open wound, almost to the bone. Her toes started losing their color. She now requires multiple medications and professional wound care every few days in that the wounds heal. Every vet medical professional said the splint needs to be changed every few days for a growing puppy to prevent this from happening. Complications can happen, but the lack of transparency, the refusal to let me see her condition, and the repeated reassurance tat everything was "normal" has left this family shaken and in shock. 12/2/25- UPDATE We just left the new vet and have to return tomorrow to have a conversation on leg amputation.

Though I can't see Dr. Tierce, Dr. Geib [and the others] offers the same excellent veterinary care we're used to, and they are usually able to see us the same day. Their hours are good for people who work and diagnoses are always spot-on. We come here for the excellent and cutting edge veterinary healthcare, deliver through experienced and caring Veterinarians, not some slick, modern clinic. Don't believe everything you hear on the news. This clinic has likely cared for more pets than any other clinic in Fort Worth. They've been at the same location since the early 1970s. I wouldn't go anywhere else [except their other clinic, Western Hills Animal Hospital]!

By the third visit, Dr. Podriza--who is probably one of the kindest people on the planet--took the time to really look closely at the X-rays and noticed something that needed more attention. We originally thought it might have just been something minor from a nail trim, but our baby ended up needing to stay overnight. The next morning, Dr. Biquet came in, did additional X-rays, and figured out exactly what was going on. You should have seen her face when she solved it--it was such a moment of relief. It was truly their teamwork, attention to detail, and how much they genuinely care that made all the difference. I really feel like they saved my dog, and I'm so grateful. My mini dachshund had a ruptured abscess and they made way for us. It is a half hour drive. We were seen within just a few minutes. Treatment was great. I absolutely love this place. I was hesitant after reading these yelp reviews but I also refused to…read morego to Banfield after a friend's horror story of a puppy she had for a week :( I called ahead of time to find out if they could give my puppy some vaccines so she could go to doggy daycare. The lady on the phone was so helpful and patient with my millions of questions as this is my first dog ever. She was very upfront about the costs and packages that were cost effective as opposed to paying for individual vaccines. She was able to set me up with an appointment that same day even though I was prepared to wait a few days for an opening. Fast forward. I showed up and was welcomed with huge smiles. The lobby was super clean. I was immediately showed to a waiting room so I could fill out some paperwork without my pup being all over the place. The waiting rooms were also super clean :) While handing in the paperwork, some of the staff came out to meet her and gave her so many compliments. It made me feel good as a first time dog mom. This was my pup's real first time in public and dealing with people other than me. Each person gave me amazing advice and even some samples for my pup to try to make training a bit easier. I went back to the room to wait for our tech. We probably waited for 5 minutes or less. She was so nice and very attentive. She listened to our needs since my pup needed specific vaccines. I was super nervous. I myself hate going to the doctor but she made it so easy. They took my pup to the back to do her exam and then came back to verify what the doctor said she could have as far as vaccines. Again, she was swooped away to the back. I could hear the staff aweing over her. I was so happy my pup wasn't whining or scared. When she was brought back to me, I couldn't even tell that she had a bunch of vaccines. She took it like a champ. The doctor came and spoke to me briefly while my pup was getting her nails trimmed as a courtesy. He was very straight to the point and gave me some knowledge. Finally, I went to check out. The costs were a bit overwhelming but I was prepared from the initial phone conversation. They were kind enough to give me quotes for future procedures that I asked for. I got some additional appointments set up as well and we were done with our visit. I love that this place is 10 minutes from my house. It limits my pup getting car sick. Their hospitality is EVERYTHING! I almost want them to have a human clinic because I was so comfortable ;)

Contacted the vet office to have #30 for both dogs so I don't run out of one medication 10 days sooner than the other dog. (If I want to pay for #10 more tablets so both dogs are on the same medication refill cycle and the medication is not effective, then I spent money I didn't need to spend.) Tech also said that the Zenrelia did not come in a quantity of #30 for the 15 mg. I have no problem finding #30 of the 15 mg with a google search.
