AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!…read more I was burnt by the hot stone and when I screamed the guy just laughed at me and said "I thought you would be fine." Like WHAT THE ACTUAL F***?! I rarely leave bad reviews but I have to for this one. The massage was absolutely terrible, I've never had such an unpleasant experience. We speak the same language so I'm sure it's not a communication issue. The guy had long nails and hands like sand scrapper, I doubt this is his main job. There was no technique, he was either using his whole weight and elbow to press on my back (sometimes on bones instead of muscle), or using his hand to do some fast shallow running on the skin. There was also a heavy cigarette scent on his hand, I can still smell it as I'm writing this review. Besides being burnt by hot stone, I told him I had injuries on my foot so avoid that area, it was like he didn't hear it at all, eventually I had to ask him to stop because of the pain. Then in the end, they had the audacity to ask for more tips (we gave $10 each, they asked for $5 more). Do not go to this disgusting place (figuratively and literally).

They will be talking throughout the massage- my masseuse picked up 5 phone calls during my massage! She was horrible and they do not clean the rooms thoroughly. They use the same dirty towels for every person. There is literally a sheet in between each guest so you can hear EVERYTHING and it is IMPOSSIBLE to relax. Everyone is talking. You will be wasting your time if you come in and they take cash and it will be cheaper but will charge extra for credit card. You have been warned DO NOT COME HERE. Go to Midtown or upper east side Taiji Body Work stay away from Chinatown Taijis.

Noisy child yelling, and not a relaxing experience…read more I have been here twice. I have to say that Lisa has always been very kind, and personable. Nonetheless, when you want a massage - you do not want to talk throughout the entire service, you do not want to hear a crying or whining toddler, and you certainly do not want to hear anyone talking about schedule to walk ins while they are massaging you. The price is lower, and you get a "family" vibe. Lisa is there with her toddler, and husband. They are definitely knowledgeable because the first massage I had wasn't relaxing but I had a deep tissue massage and felt a little better. I put aside the toddler and went back. I have a very busy schedule. I didn't even feel like I had a massage when I left, and I don't feel any better today. I had asked for more pressure. I felt completely ripped off and cheated. I will NOT be back.

I was immediately greeted by the owner when i walked by. Luckily they had openings and I got my foot rub right away. My masseuse was great and she worked on my tired feet and my plantar fasciitis well. Then, I also got a 60-min body massage after. The bed was a bit hard because they put a paper sheet on top of regular sheet and there is no regular room but a curtain divider. Regardless, the massage was good and even comes with hot stone. At the end, it was a very relaxing massage and definitely worth the price. It is not the luxurious massage from fancy spa but you get a nice bodywork done. Cash is king here and you will get lower price if you pay with cash.

I thought the price was worth the expertise of my masseuse who worked for it. 1 hour foot massage was heavenly. The masseuse knows pressure points and techniques and applied really firm pressure. This is not the limp hands unenthusiastic type of cheap-o massage a lot of other places in the neighborhood sell. I ended it with a quick 15 minute back massage where she focused on my shoulders like I asked and was able to annihilate my knots after the 10 hour flight to NYC 2 days prior. She was on top of me pressing down with all her might. I believe she may also be a pro wrestler. I previously went into a different spa before winding up here but I didn't like the pushy attitude so I left. I'm glad I found this spot. They are flexible and super nice. It's also clean and smells good. I asked to start with a 15 minute foot massage because sometimes a massage at a new place is terrible so it's not worth staying for and I asked to bump it up to 1 hour because it was really good! The staff were really nice about my indecision.

Neither of us ever had SNS before, so we didn't know what the process was and so we didn't know to point out when things were wrong, but neither of us were super pleased with how they came out, especially given the price- but again, it was our first time getting SNS, maybe this is just how it looks? Nope. It's now the next day and I am writing this with painful, swollen fingertips. Not only is the manicure uneven, but the dip polish was applied in a way that affixed my nails to my skin. I will have to go get this taken off as soon as possible, so it was a complete waste of $50 (plus tip). EDIT: My friend's fingers are super swollen and painful, too- so it wasn't just my fingers reacting poorly.
