Went for a smog test yesterday. I had to wait for over an hour but it was a great opportunity to talk to other customers and enjoy some time in the sun. Service was great and the actual test took less than 15 minutes. Got a good deal on Groupon for the service too. read more

Good. Satisfactory. Did the job in a timely manner. Used a groupon and don't regret it. read more

Fantastic deal with Groupon and easy to use./redeem. Quick and efficient for a Saturday.

I came here two weeks ago and the experience was fine. I was in and out no problem but today I wait over an hour for the technician to come and lie to me . He said I needed my dmv renewal paper to get a smog but that's not true and have only gotten smogs without having said paper. He was being lazy and wasted my time on top of the fact that he worked super slow. Like you don't want to enter vin so you'd rather scan the code so it's easier but you could've told me that to save my time or just done the smog because i immediately called other smog shops and they said I didn't need the paper. So if you didn't want my business I would've preferred that over wasting my time. read more

I was able to drive in and get my car smogged. I only had a wait for one car that was before me. The person who did it was very nice. The other good thing this place was really close to my home. read more

Minh was really nice and helpful. He explained everything to me and was very understanding and patient. He made the whole process easy and stress free. I really appreciate the help and definitely recommend him! read more

Fairly quick process. Went in the morning around 9:30am and there was no wait. Two other cars showed up after me and they both had to wait. Takes about 10-15 min. I used a Groupon. About $20+ for the Groupon and about $9 for the certificate which you pay at the shop. It does mention that in the Groupon fine print. Pretty affordable deal. The shop is in a side street, sorta hard to find tucked away. I dont go out to Hayward that much. Pull into the one stall slot. Give the guy your DMV sheet to scan, present the Groupon on app, wait in the outside chairs while he runs the test. Sign the three papers at the end and pay the $9 certificate fee. He'll give you a copy of the cert and you're all done. read more

Be AWARE of this scam. The technician adds arbitrary fees despite the groupon deal, the DMV notice has to state whether Star cert is required or not, mine didn't require it. The technician here did it in anyway and charged me extra fees for no reason. I told him this is illegal and had arguments and then he refunded that fee. Be VERY VERY AWARE The technician is also super rude and unprofessional. Never coming back and cautioning others against it read more

AMAZING, after asking around for hours and many research this place came up as the best in my eyes... and they did not disappoint, Rick is great, Super respectful fast work and the pricing here is unbeatable. If you're looking for a place to do Smog, I'd highly recommend this place!!! read more

Also faced the scam mentioned by Kareem H. in his review. When I pushed the technician to refund me, he tried to pay me back in pennies. I said no, so he paid me out in quarters, dimes, and nickels and then cursed at me and said he hoped I'd never come back. No worries there, buddy. read more

The gentleman that helped me this Saturday 2/21/26 showed great hospitality. I would recommend going here for a quick smog and great conversation. It's also reasonably priced. This is a smog only location so I just happened to luck out and find it great service. read more

The guy performing the smog check is super rude from the beginning to the end. We are customers coming here to smog check as required by DMV, not here to beg, dude! If you bought a Groupon just know he has hidden fees that are not on the fine print. HE IS SCAMMING GROUPON USERS. Charged me an extra $10 for an suv. He told me it was in the fine print which I read and argued that no where it stated that. There's only an $8.25 extra charge for state certificate. I showed him the fine print from my phone and asked him to show me where it was and he just shook his head and said it was there. Ended up paying the additional $10 that is NOT on the fine print plus the $8.25, on top of my Groupon purchase. On my receipt it only has the breakdown of the State Certificate charge but not the SUV charge, this is something that needs to be reported to Groupon. Also noticed in the reviews (which I read after the fact) that l'm not the only one he has done this too. Definitely scamming Groupon Users. read more

I took a car to have the smog done and he started to question me about how much I had bought it for while he was doing the smog. He asked me for my bank card to make the payment. When the machine finished scanning the car it said the car was ready. He went inside and took my card and charged me $80 to the card without my authorization. He gave me the car papers and the failed smog for no reason. He told me to come back in a week and give him $40 and he would give me the certified smog. I asked him what the reason was several times and he had no reason. Just to come back with $40 I no longer needed the car just the money and he would give me the certificate. I left the place and went to another shop in 5 minutes he did the smog without any problem and for the amount of $65. I returned. to show him but it was already closed.. he stole my money and my time, very unprofessional.. read more

I came here to smog my wife's car. It was finally due for a smog after 8 years. We found a groupon deal and they had an extra discount bringing the smog check less than $25 excluding the $8.25 smog certificate. Our car passed easily since it's a 2014. He told me I still needed to pay $10. I asked him I thought it was $8.25 then he said $1.75 for transaction fee. That's the first time I ever heard of that hence the 4 stars. That was not mentioned on the Groupon. It's still one of the cheapest places to get a smog. I just wished they mentioned it on the Groupon so that there aren't any surprises. read more

Meekland Smog Test Only - Smog Station Parking Lot - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Hayward, California

Quick and friendly service, I'd definitely recommend this place. They were able to get me in right away, it was very convenient.

Went to the closes Smog Testing place to my house since it was day off and wanted to get it done ASAP. It was a quick process, however, the guy who helped me was extremely rude. He didn't introduce himself (Ricky is the name on my paperwork), he barked orders at me, and had an attitude of annoyance the entire time I was there. It was hot that day and I asked if they had a place for me to sit inside while I waited. He impatiently had me sit at his desk. Afterward he handed me a paper to sign. I signed it and gave him the clipboard back and he barked "sign all! sign all!" I had no idea that there were three papers to sign. Also, he never said whether or not the report will go directly to the DMV - most smog only businesses do that. So I just took my paperwork and will make a copy and send it to the DMV myself. There are WAY too many Smog Test Only locations, many of which are less expensive, so skip this place if you want good service from people who show respect and value you as a customer. read more

Worker is RUDE, has an attitude and seems very hostile and angry. Very angry and demanding for paperwork. Gets angry if you park in the wrong spot and if you don't have all paperwork. Gets angry if he takes longer than 15/20 minutes per car??? Won't accept previous paperwork from a PASSED smog check at other places for aftermarket parts; will require picture proof? VERY SMALL AREA, small parking lot. Nowhere to sit while waiting for other customers. FIND A MORE RELIABLE LOOKING PLACE even if you pay a bit more... read more

Excellent customer service. Fast and very efficient. Thank you for taking care of our cars!

The person doing smogs was really really rude. The lot is small and shared. The attendant was upset that I parked in a space while he finished smog on another vehicle. He was incredibly rude while I was trying to get out the car ( I use a cane so it takes a bit to safely get out of the vehicle). He was bothered when I asked what type of payments were accepted. There are soooo many other places to go. I would not come here again nor recommend anyone coming here. read more

This is one of the best SMOG check experiences I ever had. Minh was amazing. He was very informative, understanding, and very caring as an inspector. He was very quick about the SMOG check and I also appreciate how he was kind enough to give a discount because of my SJSU gear! Go Spartans. If you need a SMOG check, by all means, GO HERE! You will not regret it. Even though it was a Saturday, he made the effort to do my smog check in a timely manner. read more

The guy was cussing like a sailor and was very rude the site advertised smog for $29 for 2011 and newer when I arrived he said $59 to smog a 2014 and told me to show him the $29 advertisement which I did so he only charged the $29 but wasn't happy about it just giving you a heads up. read more

He was super rude.. mean angry.. I would not recommend going there !!! He has a very bad attitude from the start!!! Horrible experience

I went to Meekland smog check, and the owner was there and he's very polite. He gave me a great deal. I recommend you go see him at the Meeklynn smog test Tony it's a great company with great service. read more

Website and Yelp page both state that they open at 8:30 am. It is now 8:50 am and no one is here or answering the phone.

It was pouring rain and the shop was about to close. We dropped in with our 2011 Prius (no appointment) and he didn't turn us away. Mr. Minh provided superb customer service and also supplied us with helpful knowledge about cars. He was friendly, honest, quick and offered the best discounted price for smog check. read more

Horrible experience for me. He was rude from the start. The first thing he didn't give me was a hello. How can I help you? I told him I had a Groupon, and his attitude got worse. So he tested my car and said it wasn't ready. After I waited an hour. While I was waiting, he went to talk on the phone on the side of the building. I looked to if my car had any tool to be testing it. There was nothing, so I was like, why he is talking so long he has a customer waiting SMH. Then he comes back saying your car isn't ready. It failed. Mind you, I have stuff I have to do like go to the DMV. But if it wasn't on his phone, I could leave 10 minutes ago or from the beginning when he knew it wasn't ready but checking the obd reader. I never had a bad experience like this. He even tried to charge me 1.75$ for ? I went to a lot of smog places. They are more friendly and welcoming. If my car wasn't ready, they said just come back because it's not ready for a smog. Drive it for a little while and come back no charge. When they put obd reader, they can know right away. It's not ready. So basically, this guy could have told me from the beginning but charged me my Groupon and said no retest for using Groupon. You pay full price when you come back. But Groupon stated it's 20 for a retest SMH. I knew he realized he was wrong, so he put no free test. When he gave me my papers. NEVER COMING BACK read more
