    Beef kabob plate

Mediterranean Grill serves Greek and Persian food in very large quantities. I got a beef kabob plate, which was tasty, but pretty standard compared to similar restaurants. There's both indoor and outdoor seating at Mediterranean Gill, and the food is prepared quickly.

The Box Chicken Shawarma Rice was so delicious and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We go there for a late night meal. All the guys there are very nice. It's great sitting outside to eat.

Be careful. This place will have you developing regular cravings for it. I'll tell you why. First off, it's not a rip-off. Comon you know most places are a rip-off these days, but we go anyway. This place isn't. It's fair. It's affordable. Look at the menu. I was hesitant to order the Chicken thinking it might be dry. To cook chicken and have it end up juicy, tender and smokey well seasoned takes skill, and this place from the outside looks almost fast food, but it's a different story with the food. The beef shawarma plate was huge. I think enough for two and also tasty. Not something I would order and that's only because the only beef I eat are either Filet Mignon or Ribeye. However, I did try a bite and it was decent. The rice, taziki, white sauce...all of it really hit the spot. The service? Friendly, welcoming, happy to be there and most of all happy to have you there. Makes you wanna go back.

I walked into the restaurant because I saw and outside sign that said there was a special of 1 pc ground beef kabob, rice, salad and pop for $13.99. When I walked in, I asked the guy if there were any lunch specials. He didn't give me the special menu, I was too rushed to check the sign again outside. I ordered 2pc ground beef kabob for $16.99. The picture showed rice and salad. I asked if I could get salad instead of the rice. He quickly charged me for a side salad. I almost paid but saw that the payment wasn't correct ($22.85). I asked him that I wanted less rice and more salad. He said I couldn't do that. I asked him if they could just swap the rice for salad, again he said no. I said okay, so the picture shows that there's salad, and he said yes, it comes with a bit of salad. I told him that I just wanted it as is and no extra salad. He gave me a dirty look and charged me the regular $16.99. I left in a rush to see that there was no salad in the meal. I didn't have a good experience because I could tell they were trying to gauge me over a bit of salad. In the end, I didn't get any pop or salad, and paid more than I should have.

Love the chicken shawarma! The combo of the chicken, dill rice, and the garlic sauce is just SO delicious! Love that it also comes with greek salad, and a pita w/ tzatziki sauce. Love getting lunch here!

This place is on the row of donair shops in one block. I was happy with the service but the donair was only ok for my taste. However the price is good and they really try hard to give you the best service that they can. It is a decent place if you like sitting on a patio with a view of the beach just over your shoulder. However it can be very crowded during the summer as it is quite popular then. Price is average and affordable depending on what you buy.

Really good food here! Great location where you can sit inside or out. Watch them carve off slices of grilled meat for your meal. Lots of people coming in for take out at this busy restaurant. Friendly staff. Just a little divey but typical for the area. Don't let that deter you from trying the great food.

Food was amazing. Service was on point very helpful and friendly. Ambiance: small dining but perfect.

Lamb and chicken shawarma. Chicken is the first plate.

We enjoyed our meal here. My friend had the lamb shawarma with a beer. I had the chicken shawarma with water. A regular size is huge and a large size is enormous. We had the regular size and it was more than satisfying. The salad is fresh and crispy. The rice tastes perfect and nicely flavoured. The chicken was also tender and tasty. The staff here are polite and give the right amount of attention. Seating was approppriate with the covid restrictions. The price was right, especially considering the large portions. The bathroom is clean with enough supplies. I want to go back for more.

the outside seating has expanded). I don't know how the gal kept up with the insanity that was taking orders from people seated, to take away, serving/checking on patrons and getting called from another employee from time to time. But she rocked! Most impressive that we heard her speaking Spanish to a table of possible regulars. Oh, food was great too!!

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

From the moment we sat down, the experience was something special. They start you off with warm, grilled bread alongside a gorgeous pool of fresh olive oil, and here's the touch that sets the tone for the whole evening: the oregano garnishing that oil is cut tableside from a live plant. It's a small detail, but it tells you everything about how much this kitchen cares. We went all in on the menu and have zero regrets. The spread platter was outstanding, multiple dips, beautifully presented with soft bread, each one distinct and well-crafted. The warm marinated olives were rich and aromatic, the kind of thing you keep reaching back into. The calamari was perfectly fried, light, crispy, served with a creamy tzatziki dipping sauce. For mains, the whole lobster with fries was a showstopper, generous, fresh, and served with clarified butter and a tangy sauce. The halibut was elegant and delicate, plated with roasted vegetables and large capers in a way that felt genuinely refined. The cocktails and drink program held up beautifully throughout the meal too. This is the kind of restaurant that makes a night feel like an occasion. The food is thoughtful, the ingredients are clearly quality, and the atmosphere delivers. And Yuri, our waiter, was absolutely fantastic. If you're on the fence because of that rating -- ignore it. On a real whim moment - a friend I was going into town with was carrying on past this joint & said - hey you have to try this Doner - it's good. Oh why not - I said. I popped in & walked around checking out the setup & noticed the freshness & cleanliness right away. I like the decor as well - neat high tables & wood finishing. DS is still a baby - having just opened up 3 months ago. I met the boss & we chatted up a storm. He's a cool guy who's been in Vancouver for over 10 years - originally from Turkey! Ok - you had me at Turkey!!! He recommended the chicken Doner & wow oh wow did this taste of heaven go down or what. The tender halal chicken & Tabouli salad & ingredients as well as added sauces including hot sauce - Mama Mia!!! Heads up for anyone popping in over the next few weeks - the boss has plans for Kebabs & is strategizing how to work in a new grill etc etc. He's real excited about this venture & said I have to come back at the end of February when he hopes to have completed setting up. Sounds awesome - I will definitely be going back! Oh make sure that when you go to DS - show boss the picture of my Doner & tell him to grill it exactly like in the pic!!! You won't be disappointed!

The chicken doner was one of the best I had so far. It was flavorful on its own, with a slight crisp on the edges of the meat. It was not dry and was just right.
