Horrible company. Would give negative stars if possible…read more Due to space limitations we can't give full details or list all the problems, lies, or unprofessional business practices encountered but we'll give the highlights. Contracted with Hinckley Roofing to do tear off and roof replacement on small house. Subcontracted crew only tarped front of house and left other sides exposed. Majority of shingles and debris were thrown off sides and back, not front. Left excessive black marks on vinyl siding and large scratches/gouges on aluminum window trim where shingles hit. Only the front looked mostly okay because of tarp. Siding in very good condition prior to damage they caused. Showed us picture of front with tarp and lied about the rest being tarped until we shared video from security cameras showing shingles raining down against the siding. Their solution was to scrub each streak and power wash the siding, destroying the surface so there were glaring shiny and dull patches alternating across sides and back of house. This was unacceptable to us. Met with them again and were told if we gave it 6 months we wouldn't be able to tell; it would even out. Gave it 6 months and it looks worse. Roof cost just over $9,200. Bids from siding companies were all higher than that amount but Hinckley would only offer half the cost in credit for damages. Said anything more would be unfair to them. When we didn't accept their offer, we were told they'd put lien on house and we could work it out with their insurance company then. Deadline for filing valid lien had passed after so much time but they would file anyway. The only way we could get lien removed then would be to hire attorney and file a lawsuit to have lien invalidated. We opted to take their low offer and be done with them.

Reused metal trim from my old roof. Over bid rooofing quanity by 12 sq. , charged me and took it back (which i caught and had them return it) took out old working fan and forgot to cover with wood before covering with rubber sheet, new fan they replaced did not work, even though they took out old Working fan.. told me to hire an electrician to see why. Now 4 years later the rubber roof is bubbling up, because it was Not applied correctly. Warranty calll, came out told me they would Slice rubber push out bubble and patch. I would NOT recomend. Not the same company as first generation. "

What began as a straightforward replacement project--one that reasonably should have cost in the…read morerange of $15,000--has turned into an extremely disappointing and costly experience. Not only did the project escalate to just under $23,000 with the original contractor, but due to ongoing issues and incomplete or unsatisfactory work, we were forced to hire additional contractors, bringing the total cost to $30,000 plus. Throughout the process, there was a clear lack of transparency in pricing, poor project management, and a failure to set realistic expectations. Costs continued to rise without adequate explanation or justification, leaving us feeling misled and frustrated. Even more concerning was the quality and completeness of the work, which ultimately did not meet acceptable standards and required further intervention at our own expense. The one leading the project had no business in doing so. She was consistently rude, unprofessional, and showed a clear lack of understanding of what she was doing. After numerous conversations and items missed during the quote and/or left out and then overcharges for her mistake, instead of providing guidance or solutions, interactions were frustrating and unproductive, which only made an already bad situation worse. There was no competence or accountability, just further confusion and poor communication. A project of this scale should be handled with professionalism, clear communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short on all fronts. What should have been a manageable replacement project turned into a prolonged, stressful, and unnecessarily expensive ordeal and anyone who has viewed our replacement their jaws have dropped. It's embarrassing to say the least. I will leave you with this, the owner Jim, who was wonderful and who we spoke to (finally towards the end) offered to tear it down and replace after all was said and done, but unfortunately, he was getting ready to retire and he had nothing to do with the initial scope and project and were afraid it might be even worse so we chose to go with another contractor. For him to say that - - you know it's bad... I would like to start all over and never use them but obviously that is not an option at this point. I would strongly urge others to please proceed with caution and ensure all details are in writing, timelines, and costs are explicitly outlined and adhered to before committing.

Right Guys Roofing - Staring shingle process

If you're looking for a roofing company, look no further. I work with a lot of suppliers in my job,…read moreand I decided to hire Right Guys first and foremost because of Matt's professionalism and up front nature. Matt was straightforward with his estimate, and laid out a number of options for me at graduated prices in order to make the best selection for my roof. Matt was open and honest, and had a set fee schedule for various up-charges (I have a steep roof and a multistory home), and I felt I was dealing with an honest and up front business man from the get go. I had a quote at a fair market price, compared to the other quotes I got, and at no point was I asked what the insurance company had given me, which made me feel my quote was honest, and not based on how much could be made from me. I decided to have an entire roof replacement done by Right Guys, on May 26th. Matt's crew was on time and hard working. His guys did excellent work, they didn't waste time and lounge, and my roof looks excellent. I had a lot of choice in material type and color, and was shown up front what type of shingle I would be using (Matt's a certified contractor, so the materials were Owens Corning shingles, rather than a cheaper option). His guys re-strapped my gutters, re-flashed my chimneys, and completed my roof on time, in one day. They also cleaned up after themselves very well, and Matt was straightforward about taking care of a small piece of cosmetic damage to my lawn (An accident that rightfully was not his company's fault). I highly recommend Right Guys Roofing and Remodeling.
