Horrible company. Would give negative stars if possible. Due to space limitations we can't give full details or list all the problems, lies, or unprofessional business practices encountered but we'll give the highlights. Contracted with Hinckley Roofing to do tear off and roof replacement on small house. Subcontracted crew only tarped front of house and left other sides exposed. Majority of shingles and debris were thrown off sides and back, not front. Left excessive black marks on vinyl siding and large scratches/gouges on aluminum window trim where shingles hit. Only the front looked mostly okay because of tarp. Siding in very good condition prior to damage they caused. Showed us picture of front with tarp and lied about the rest being tarped until we shared video from security cameras showing shingles raining down against the siding. Their solution was to scrub each streak and power wash the siding, destroying the surface so there were glaring shiny and dull patches alternating across sides and back of house. This was unacceptable to us. Met with them again and were told if we gave it 6 months we wouldn't be able to tell; it would even out. Gave it 6 months and it looks worse. Roof cost just over $9,200. Bids from siding companies were all higher than that amount but Hinckley would only offer half the cost in credit for damages. Said anything more would be unfair to them. When we didn't accept their offer, we were told they'd put lien on house and we could work it out with their insurance company then. Deadline for filing valid lien had passed after so much time but they would file anyway. The only way we could get lien removed then would be to hire attorney and file a lawsuit to have lien invalidated. We opted to take their low offer and be done with them. read more

Very Disappointed, hired them by old reputation. and because they said they knew how to apply a rubber roof, which I required. They cut corners at every step. Reused metal trim from my old roof. Over bid rooofing quanity by 12 sq. , charged me and took it back (which i caught and had them return it) took out old working fan and forgot to cover with wood before covering with rubber sheet, new fan they replaced did not work, even though they took out old Working fan.. told me to hire an electrician to see why. Now 4 years later the rubber roof is bubbling up, because it was Not applied correctly. Warranty calll, came out told me they would Slice rubber push out bubble and patch. I would NOT recomend. Be aware. Hinklley did roof of our Florida house almost 5 years ago. July, 2018. We bot it last June. Exactly year after this ceiling in master bedroom collapsed. License roofers invited for inspection give a verdict.: installation done with mistake...Seems not insulated right way. Our nightmare begun! Not covered by home owner insurance! Contacted Scott just after noon and he was at my house within 30 minutes. Took care of my issue on the spot. While on the roof he found another concern. He took pictures, explained what was going on, and what needed to be done to avoid a leak resulting in damage. Scott gave honest and helpful recommendations. No BS. The work they've done has been solid and I have no complaints about the outcomes so far. I've experienced some significant issues with communication however, from delaying the start of a gutter project for weeks to not asking my availability when scheduling. If things go wrong, beware. They were meant to replace gutters on my front porch, but discovered the wood underneath was so damaged from years of neglect under the previous owner that they had to stop. I wasn't notified that there was an issue until 2 days later, after they left without saying anything and simply didn't come back. I didn't find out until I called to ask. They left the damaged area completely exposed even after I asked if they could tarp it to avoid further damage, did not help with recommendations on who to even call to fix the issue (though I asked), did not point out the damage to me in person, and it took 3 days after discovering the damage to send me to a description of the problem in writing. It's too bad because their work is good when it's within their scope, but this experience has been so sour that I doubt I'll use them again read more

They installed an roof and some siding from hail damage about 10 years ago. They did a great job and the roof still looks like new. Today I called because I needed a piece of siding to replace where a vent was removed. They had all the records, gave me the style, color and type of siding and directed me to the supplier so I could get a replacement piece. Excellent service. read more

Aside from buying a house and a car, getting a new roof is maybe the most expensive purchase you might ever make. So when it was time, we did a LOT of shopping around. Yelp still doesn't have too much for roofing companies, but we used what's on here as well as other research, and we drew up a list of "the best of the best" to come make a bid. After all this, we chose Hinckley Roofing. Now that the job is done, we're so glad that we did. We learned where a lot of roofers cut corners, and Hinckley did the opposite. They went above and beyond to get the job done right. A lot of houses in this development have the same kind of water issues and problems, but ours was completely fixed by Hinckley. In the middle of winter, we needed a new roof. I called & emailed a couple other roofing companies and got no response. I called Hinckley roofing and someone answered the phone immediately. They set up a time convenient for me, on a Saturday, and showed up on time. Good start. I had several ideas on what I might want done, depending on the cost. The rep listened intently, took measurements, did some calculations, and presented us with all the numbers. Best of all, he didn't pressure us at all. He described the process of what they would do and the materials they would use, and asked if we had questions about anything. Then he left pamphlets with color and style choices and even addresses where we could drive by and look at how that particular shingle would actually look on a home. He gave us as much time as we needed to make a decision. We narrowed it down to about 3, took a drive, made a decision, then called him back a few hours later. He gave us an estimate as to when they could get to us, and told us, about a week and a half, and told us we'd get a call when they were ready. Sure enough, I received a call from the guy coordinating the work in about a week. He too was polite and friendly. Asked if Friday would work for us. It would! On Friday, about 8:00 in the morning, 12 men showed up and started right in. They tore off 30 squares of shingles, pulled the old moist insulation out of the attic and replaced it with new, replaced the 30 squares of shingles, along with all the protective stuff under that, cleaned up everything, and were gone by 4:00! Because they did not listen to our needs we now have to have their work redone. The work they did complete was shoddy as well. They refused to refund us half of our money so we could have it fixed by someone else, instead only offering to refund a small amount of money (not enough to cover even 1/4 of the cost to fix the problems) and "fix" things themselves. I don't know about you, but once a company has completely ignored my needs and misled me, I no longer trust them to do any further work. Because we did not have ALL conversations in writing, the Better Business Bureau closed our complaint case. when the salesman came to our house for the estimate he had a nice presentation. Hinckley was the third roofing co. I talked with. I asked the salesman if they had their own employees or do they sub their work out to sub-contractors. He told me they had eight crews that were employees and several subs. I told him that I did not want subs because they get paid by the job and are more concerned about how fast they can do the job, workmanship is secondary. He assured me the crew would be employees that are on their payroll. The day of tear off there was no Hinckley trucks, in fact the crew came in cars. they took out all of my gutter guard and no one told me or asked me if I wanted it replaced. The contract stated that I was supposed to get 6' of ice guard on all areas that had gutters, I caught them only putting 3' instead of 6'. I called the office and let them know, while I was talking to the secretary I asked her If the crew that was at my home a sub and she said they were employees. I went up on the roof and took pictures of them shorting us on ice guard. Someone did call the person who was running the crew and made them put the extra row of ice guard on. I only caught this on the south side did not look at the north side. When they were done they left all the gutter guard that they tore out in our yard, found nails in our driveway, trash around our house all kinds of debris left in our gutters. A piece of gutter guard was left standing straight up in gutter, maybe they thought this was a souvenir. They did have a rep. from company look at the job, while he was here I asked him if the crew was a sub and they were. He did make the lead man from the crew come back and take care of the visible things. What did they do or not do under the shingles? The job cost 13,500$. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I cant say enough about Hinckley roofing, besides caring professional outstanding employees and super work they do. This summer my Daughter was killed when a Tree fell on her car in Medina. My grandson has no parents now because his dad died in 2010 and now my Daughter(His Mother).So I am now his guardian .Me and my wife live in Medina in a small 2 bedroom ,Now with the addition of my grandson ,we needed to accommodate a bedroom for him. So when we put it out on facebook asking for anyone wanted to help out and donate their time labor or anything, Hinckley Roofing stepped up to the plate big time and donated a new roof not only for the addition but the whole house.
